Mission: Mission 33: Losing the Peace
Location: Various Locations - USS Roanoke
Timeline: 1900Hrs - June 2nd, 2391

Saki Yamaguchi was doing push ups while she was facing her mother who was also doing pushups. "Almost there Saki..." she commented, a smile on her face, she was on a weekend pass from boot camp which was why she was here and not planetside, also she wanted to spend a little time with Tressa before she left to go over to the Song of the East as their new Counselor.

Saki grunted in response as she finished her last push up, then the eight year old stood up, Rachael likewise stood up as she turned her attention to Kaylee and Xavier.

Both children were staring at her. "Its fine guys... Saki needs exercize.. she and I were used to being on you feet all day long." Rachael explained. "Considering I'm in boot camp, down on the planet surface, I'm in week four... of nine weeks.."

Saki went over to the replicator as she tapped it once. "How does this thing work again?"

"You can just tell it what you want, but exactly.." Xavier said helpfully.

"Ahh." she turned. "Computer... one glass of water, 2 degrees." her drink appeared as she lifted it, then she drained her glass in one go.

Kaylee's big dark eyes followed Saki, then she looked down at the doll in her lap.

"Want to play with me?" Kaylee asked. She had a toy tricorder in her hand. "We can play sickbay."

Saki regarded the other girl. "I've never heard of sickbay..." she paused. "but sure..."

Rachael sat down on the floor next to Xavier. "Do you do anything else.... other then play video games?" she inquired.

"Yes!" the boy said, never taking his eyes from the screen. "I ride my bike on the holodeck!"

Kaylee was holding the toy tricorder over her doll, moving slowly up and down. "Mallory is very sick, we have to give her medicine," she told Saki. She carefully laid the doll in the little crib next to her, picking up a toy hypospray and handing it to the girl. "You should give her a shot."

Saki looked down at the toy hypo in her hand and then at the young child as she gently pressed it to the baby's arm and with a grace one didn't often see, she tapped the hypo against the doll's arm.

Rachael turned her head as she regarded her daughter, feeling the wave of emotion from her but she said nothing.

Saki turned back to Kaylee. "Okay... whats our next move?"

Rachael regarded her daughter, feeling a wave of sadness pass over her. "I need a drink.." she whispered.

"Now we have to check the horses," Kaylee said matter-of-factly. She turned to the box of toys behind her and pushed it towards Saki, pulling out miniature horses in various colors and poses. "I like to comb their hair, and I've seen horses on the holodeck!" she added.

Saki gently pulled out one horse, it was a dark blue in colour and had a rather magnificent gait, he had massive hooves, a long tail and a rather large mane of hair. "This is a horse?" the small child looked almost enthralled.

Rachael meanwhile was now doing crunches. "twenty two... twenty three." she whispered as she did her exercises, the door opened and in came Tressa Brislan as Rachael finished her exercise routine. "Hey Tressa."

"Hello Rachael," the counselor said with a smile. "What's going on?"

"Well Xavier is helping Saki with the replicator and I'm just working out." the taller woman explained as she was lying on the deck with her feet hooked under the sofa to ensure she didn't move. "twenty four." and with that she went right back to it. "Why don't you join me.... you'll be surprised at how well it clears the mind.."

"My mind is clear enough, and I did my PT this morning," Tressa said with a laugh. She knelt down next to the girls. "Do you like horses, Saki? I think they're Kaylee's favorite toys."

Saki regarded the toy horse in her hand. "Aunt Elizabeth sometimes rides real horses on the holodeck." she paused. "Aunt Siaxx rides Halftalon..." the small child paused. "Do you guys know what an Orobird looks like?"

Kaylee and Tressa shook their heads. "Will you show us?" the counselor said as she combed a toy horses' mane.

Rachael smiled. "I'll need to talk to Siaxx... we will need her there. Halftalon doesn't know me as well as he knows her...but yes... I will... with your mother's permission." she nodded at Tressa.
