Time Alone

Mission: Mission 23: Foundations of Stone
Location: Various Locations - USS Roanoke
Timeline: 2000Hrs - January 25th, 2391

Meslina sighed a little as she put down the padd that she had been looking over, it's been a long couple of weeks and she was starting to feel a little stressed out. Looking at the time she noticed it was a little past 2200 hours, so she tapped her combadge and called Tienn, "Meslina to Tienn, are you busy right now?"

Tienn blinked as she was presently sitting in the Doctor's office, the quarantine had only been lifted about four hours earlier.

"Well I was wondering if you wanted to come to my quarters and have something to eat not to mention I kind of miss seeing you." Meslina said.

Tienn smiled. "I'll be right along... there are no issues happening here...and they just released the quarantine a couple of hours earlier." she was referring to the outbreak of the bioweapon that had so nearly killed the entire crew before a Breen force had shown up. It had taken skill and some luck but they had survived both. "I'll see you shortly. Tienn out."

Meslina stood up and went into her room to change into something else then went to the replicator and ordered up a few dishes as well as a candle. Setting the candle on the table with the food she waited a few more minutes, the door chime finally signaled and she walked over and opened the door. Tienn stood before her looking just as tired and worn out as Meslina felt, but they were both happy to see each other.

"Come on in, I just set the table." She told Tienn as the other woman came in, "sorry I called so late and on short notice. However I must say it is nice to see you none the less."

Tienn smiled at Meslina. "Don't worry about it... I been a long couple of weeks... with the Baryon Sweep and all, we lost everything...tissue cultures, plants... the lot." Tienn sighed. "The Breen tried to kill us with a bioweapon..." she paused. "I hope the Federation doesn't just go and talk peace..." the Bajoran sighed softly.

Watching Tienn she understood the other woman's feelings on the matter, Meslina too was not happy with everything that has happened and knowing the Federation, as much as she loved serving it, they would go off and talk on treaties and what-not. A lot of the races out there didn't want peace they just wanted to hurt others to show that they could. "I understand what you mean. But for now we don't need to worry about that just relax and we can enjoy each others company."

"Yeah.." Tienn sighed softly, it came out as a soft wheezing sound. "I am really too old for this shit.." which considering she wasn't even thirty years old yet was saying something.

Meslina laughed a little, "no hun you are not too old. However I do understand how you feel, it's like with all the crap that's been happening the last few weeks I've aged too, both mentally and physically." Meslina came around and gave Tienn a slight hug, "sorry but you looked like you needed this."

"Yeah... well." Tienn muttered. "All things considered. we're lucky to be here at all." the Bajoran sighed.

Meslina just nodded slightly at that since there wasn't much else to be said. She then went to her chair and sat down, "come on let's eat and try to think of more happier things to talk about than this whole mess."

"Sounds good... " Tienn hauled herself to her feet. "Lets eat.... I'm starved.."

Meslina took a small bite of her food and started to think about how she was starting to really like the other woman though she wasn't too sure how to put them into words so she just watched Tienn while trying not to stare too much. "I hope it's to your liking, I don't fully know what you like and don't like."

Tienn popped a piece of sausage roll into her mouth and she crunched down, the look on her face indicated that she had eaten something narcotic. "Oh...wow.."

Meslina stopped with her Perch dish and looked up, "something the matter?"

"You ever tried sausage roll?" she inquired as she finished her present slice, she still had two tolls to go.

Meslina thought for a second, "nope can't say that I have. I have had pigs in a blanket and other different dishes of that sort, but I found that my pallet is more refined for Asian and other spicy foods." Meslina picked up a piece of her Perch and held it out across the table, "here take a bite and I will take a bite of your sausage roll." A smile had slightly spread on her face as she watched Tienn look down at her plate.

Tienn chopped off a chunk of sausage roll as the two women traded food. "Its quite good... Siaxx introduced me to it, she said something about Phoenix introducing her to it..." as she took a bite of the Perch. "Mmm... this is good."

Meslina took a small bite off the sausage roll, "huh I think I will have to add this to my favorites menu later." She said with a smile. "Well I'm glad that they introduced it down the line now they have another that will enjoy it."

"You can add things to it. tomato ketchup or cheese..... Mmmm..." as a smile graced the Bajoran's face. "I'm not sure abut the Perch though...but thats okay..."

Meslina laughs, "that's okay I don't think I would want to add the perch to the sausage roll. I would add some ghost peppers though," a wicked grin spreads on her face.

"Oh.. thats just evil." Tienn commented. "Still did you hear about the prank that Siaxx did to the skipper?" a wide smile appeared on her face. "I didn't think the little Bolian was so devious... she somehow managed to make someone's hand appear in a plate of food that the Captain was eating...Commander Yamaguchi was there but. I heard that Tane got so angry that she yanked Siaxx out of bed for it.." she chuckled. "apparently it was a mistake because we ended up with two dead bodies and Siaxx had been relieved of duty for it..." Tienn paused. "Someone else tried turning a replicator into a small transporter but it backfired, killing her and her boyfriend."

"Damn, no I didn't hear about that. Remind me not to upset them, I don't want to end up dead." Meslina said then looked down. "I hope that nothing happens to you either, I would be heartbroken." She whispered, but then looked back up with a smile on her face that seemed to be forced. "Oh by the way I've been thinking about some things and I was wondering if you would like to stay here for the night and we can have some more time to talk and enjoy each others company, that is if it's not too much trouble."

Tienn raised an eyebrow as she regarded the human woman. "Well its more like don't piss off the little Bolian... she might prank you too." as she heard the rest of the human woman's statement, as a look of surprise crossed her face. "Sure... I'd like that."

"I promise I won't keep you out too late, but it's been a while since I've seen you and I do miss you." She said while blushing slightly.

"So long as I'm not late for work... I don't think anyone is going to care, honestly.... I know Sokanon will appreciate the time alone..."
the Bajoran commented. "That woman has an interest in human men.... I almost feel sorry for her."

Meslina nodded in agreement, "yeah I hear you on that but to each's own I guess. I mean look at me I prefer the company of a beautiful woman such as yourself rather than the company of a man."

Tienn blushed as a smile appeared on her face. "Well... I do prefer the company of women over men...." she commented. "For our next date.... did you want to go somewhere?"

"What about going back to the holodeck, this time we can load up one of my programs since we already did one of yours" she said while getting up to put the plates back into the replicator.

"Sounds good." Tienn responded as she regarded the other woman.
"I'm sure you can create something.."
