Lt Commander Siaxx Dvald sighed softly as she looked out over the superstructure of the USS Roanoke, she had wanted to go for a walk and this was as far as she could get from anywhere resembling responsibility or anything else regarding the Roanoke for the next several hours.

Siaxx still wanted to be close by in case something happened but that was a part of her overall problem, she was always on stand by.

She dismissed her dark thoughts as she lifted her head to look out at the massive Nebula cloud which lurked over the top of the Roanoke's dorsal superstructure, the haze was a soft medium blue with various shades of color from dark blue to white all mixed in for good measure.

She blinked as she heard someone calling her name. "mmmm?" as she turned her head to see someone wearing an envirosuit, similar to hers.
"Hello?" Siaxx inquired.

"It's me," Phoenix called out as she steadily moved toward Siaxx. "Wanted ta see if you're OK."

"I needed some air." Siaxx responded quietly. "Its been a long couple of weeks...." the Bolian commented as she looked at Phoenix. "I needed to see the sights." she then pointed upwards relative to the Roanoke herself. "the view is... quite spectacular."

"It's not as pretty as you are, when ya glow with happiness." Yeah, it was a bit cheesy, but Phoenix meant it.

Siaxx blushed a deep shade of blue as a smile graced her lips. "Well... umm..."

True enough, Phoenix turned to Siaxx and enjoyed her fiancee's natural beauty. But then there was still that underlying feeling. The rage and fury Siaxx had come to know as well as Phoenix.

"I..." Phoenix started again, this time looking at her feet. "I don' wanna teach ya ta be a killer, Siaxx. Mostly 'cause I don' recognize tha girl I fell in love with, some of tha time."

Siaxx had come to the realization herself. "It doesn't matter... I wanted it for revenge..." she stopped herself. "Revenge is meaningless and empty..." a soft sigh escaped her lips.

"I don' wan' ya ta turn into me," Phoenix spoke quietly. "It aint a good thing, ta live as I do, a lot of tha time. Cause I only get peace with you."

Siaxx looked over at Phoenix. "Sit with me?" she asked shyly. "I wanna spend some time with you..."

"Only for a little while," Phoenix agreed as she sat down slowly. "My back is killing me."

"I know..." Siaxx almost whimpered. "I'm Sorry.... That is my fault.." she explained. "Even though Elizabeth made the request.. It is still my fault..."

"I told her no," Phoenix sniffed. "She begged me ta do it. Cause she didn' wanna lose her siblings or her mom... An' I wanna feel good for keepin' 'em alive, but I don'."

"Phoenix... you have suffered so much and you've given others so much..." she gently placed her gloved hand on Phoenix's shoulder. "I think it's time to take something from everyone for yourself.." she paused. "Its time to deal with the man who did this to you.... Once and for all.." she slowly raised an eyebrow. "Its time for you to be set free from the nightmares I know you still fight..."

"Ya meant well," Phoenix tried so say with a brave front, but failed. "I can' be mad at ya for tryin' ta save all of 'em."

"If I'd had another person... you know I would have chosen someone else.." Siaxx commented. "That virus wrote everyone else off... and..." she stopped as the full realization of recent events hit her. "Jill... had you not done that stunt with Zara's fighter...." as the seconds rolled by, her voice become more and more broken. "We should have tried harder.... should have found another option..."

"It's done now," Phoenix sighed shakily. "Aint nothin' we can do ta change that, Dear."

Siaxx paused. "I know..." she let out a soft sigh. "We will do the best we can...." as she regarded Phoenix. "You know Nalla will want to see you in Sickbay on a regular basis..."

"That gal is annoyin'," Phoenix sighed with exasperation. "When these things are out of me? First thin' you an' I do, is get that kid drunk."

"Drunk and Stoned. That sounds good." Siaxx responded. "Same with Elizabeth... that girl needs to get a little unwrapped."

"She's got that pilot for that," Phoenix waved aside.

"Yep... Kam Solusar along with two other pilots and one guy from Operations.... I also heard that one of the Marines wants to bed a Yamaguchi and someone in tactical wants a piece of the hottest doctor on the ship." Siaxx gave Phoenix a grin. "Watching this Greek tragedy play out should be highly entertaining... don't you think?"

"I don' think it'd be quite like Troy," Phoenix laughed.

Siaxx chuckled. "I doubt it very much... Elizabeth honestly needs to open her eyes..." she paused. "See what she has... lest she make my mistake.."

"What mistake was that?" Phoenix asked in honest confusion.

"When I failed to see what I had before me.... something you made me aware about." Siaxx explained. "Elizabeth seems like she's heading down the route.... I can't let her make my mistakes.."

"I didn' mean ta slap you," Phoenix spoke very remorsefully.

"No... I deserved it... I couldn't see past my own nose..." Siaxx commented. "Don't blame yourself for my misdeeds..."

"What ya gonna do ta fix this?" Phoenix asked gently.

Siaxx sighed. "Help you with your issues... because helping you will help me."
