Chief Petty Officer Toshnarr no longer felt he could trust himself aboard the USS Roanoke, he had been released from Sickbay while the investigation had wrapped up into the death of Crewman Torrna Maliya

He knew that he needed to talk to someone which was what led him here, to see the Chief Counselor of this ship, he tapped the doorchime with one of his claws.

"Doodle Deep" its call echoed within.

"Enter," Tressa said. "Good afternoon," she added warmly as he walked in. "How may I help you?"

Toshnarr went into the office after opening the door. "Counselor.." his voice rumbled. "I hardly know where to start...." he admitted.

"I'm Doctor Tressa Brislan, what is your name?" she asked, walking towards him.

"I am Toshnarr." he addressed the comparatively tiny female who was addressing him.

"Please have a seat, what would you like to talk about?"

Toshnarr regarded the human woman who to him reminded him of a long overdue meal, with a helpful shove, he pushed that thought away. "I assume you read about the incident that had happened in my quarters during the....drug incident." his tone suddenly turned nasty, dripping with acidic venom. "When I find out just who owned the drugs that were burned.... I'm going to eat them alive..."

"I'm sorry, I don't know what you are referring to. Someone put drugs in your quarters?"

"That... is as you humans say, the understatement of the year. It took me two days to metabolize that out of my system... I also had to dispose of over a thousand pounds of good food because of what had happened..... somehow this crewman was able to get into my quarters... and eat some of my stored food.... the food killed her as it caused sepsis... her system was unable to process my stored food which while being rancid to you... it was a delicacy to me...."

"So... someone stole your food? "

"I can't remember...." he growled. "It was all.... a blur..."

"Can you start from the beginning?" Tressa asked. "Let's go slowly..."

"It started with engineering managing to restore full life support to the entire ship.. the system had been having issues for the last year or so... when suddenly someone's stash of drugs caught on fire and as a result... everyone in the saucer section... was stoned out of their minds... People started doing weird things... having sex, that sort of thing.... and it affected me... I needed food... so I went hunting all of the voles that had gotten loose up in the pod... I was able to hunt down over a hundred of the little bastards.."

"You were affected by the narcotics and felt hungry, so you hunted voles for food...." Tressa said, writing on her PADD. "Did you know the fresh food had been contaminated?"

"No... how could I have known.?" he inquired. "I was affected and went hunting... " he let out a soft moan which could have been a sigh but it could have been something else. "All of my food.... had to be tossed out. All that work... because someone got into my quarters and ate some of it... which killed her."

"That is unfortunate. Is the incident still being investigated?"

"No.. they declared the case closed and her death listed as an accident.." he explained. "But.. this crewman died in My home.."
he paused. "I don't know where I was or what I was doing at the time..." he admitted. "the ships computer was less then helpfull as I had knocked my combadge off..." he rumbled softly.

"Is it possible that you had something to do with her death?"

"I don't know.." he rumbled. "Thats what bothers me....I could have killed her and I'd never know it.." he added. "When I'm stoned. my memory stops working. I could do anything. hurt anyone.... I am a doctor but trade and for me to hurt someone..." he stopped as he shook his head.

"An autopsy would reveal COD, the final report will show that," she said gently. "If you did hurt her you could not be held responsible, you were drugged."

"Her file says the body must not be harmed after death..." he rumbled. "So... I will never know." he regarded the smaller human woman. "I will never gain peace without the cause of death.... I don't remember anything.... and because of what I was stoned with... I will never regain those memories."

"There are therapies that could help you to remember. I could refer you to a Vulcan colleague," Tressa said, searching on her PADD.

Toshnarr slowly nodded his massive head. "Alright.." he rumbled.

"I'm messaging you his contact information, we can set up an appointment whenever you are ready. Did you see a medical officer after you recovered?" she asked.

"I saw Lieutenant Tienn," he explained. "She gave me the full once over."

"She said you are well?"

"She did..." he paused. "She pronounced me fit..."

"Have you slept well since this happened? Any unusual dreams?"

I don't sleep well anymore... and dreams... " he paused as he considered the question. "There are nights when I see myself killing her...and others when I see her trying to get out of my quarters from some nameless monster and I stand, watching but doing nothing..." the Gorn almost looked guilty. "I don't know... where I was or what I was doing... that's the worst part.."

Tressa nodded, making a notation. "That is frightening, no one likes to be out of control or unaware of what they are doing."

"I know." the Gorn regarded the human. "But I want to know..."

"You may never know."

The Gorn let out a sigh that came out as a growl. "Perhaps.." he regarded her.
