Location: Various Locations - USS Roanoke
Timeline: 1030Hrs, December 7th, 2390

Lt Commander Siaxx Dvald smiled as she watched the cat that had adopted her leap up onto the biobed where she was sitting while she was processing paperwork.

Shorax gently nuzzled her hand, clearly the cat wanted to play as Siaxx smiled. "Heya little guy.." she petted the cat she had named after her father as he climbed up into her lap as he gave he the long stare.

"Someone somewhere loved you once upon a time.." Siaxx observed as the door opened and in walked someone out of her past, or rather three someones.

"Xavier, Kaylee... Tressa." Siaxx gently plucked the cat from where he was sitting, between her legs as she moved him to one side so she could move off the bed as Xavier leapt into her arms.

"Doctor Siaxx!" the boy shouted happily. A moment later Kaylee was on her as well, and the children laughed as Siaxx tossed them playfully onto the bed.

"Yeah. I remember you guys.." Siaxx pulled the smaller woman into a big hug. "You have no idea how happy I am to see you all.

"We've missed you," Tressa said, hugging her fiercely.

Siaxx returned her hug as she held onto the shorter woman. "God... you have no idea.." she commented as Shonax mewled at them both.

Siaxx let her friend go before she helped the two children up to the biobed. "Okay... who's first?" she inquired as the Bengal cat she had adopted began to seek attention from the two children as he looked at Kaylee and then he mewled at her. The girl smiled and reached out to touch the feline, then quickly remembered her manners.

"Can I pet her?" she asked hopefully.

"Him.... and I think Shonax has never had so much attention in his life... but be gentle, I'm still getting him settled into life aboard ship..." Siaxx explained.

"Shonax..." Kaylee said softly. Xavier reached out as well, touching his soft fur. "He's pretty."

"Yes.. I named him for my father.." the svelte Bolian responded as the cat seemed to enjoy the attention he was getting from the two children.

Siaxx turned to Tressa. "I know the Maine Coon thats being looked after by Commander Teval is pregnant.... maybe you could ask him for a couple of cats for yourself.."

Two sets of hopeful eyes shot up and caught Tressa's, and she didn't need to be telepathic to know what the children were thinking.

"Ah, well, we are only just settling in...."

"Please please please?!?" Xavier and Kaylee chimed in unison. Tressa looked to Siaxx for aid but the Bolian just smiled indulgently.

"Perhaps...once we have finished unpacking...we'll talk about it..." the counselor hedged. "Let's at least finish your physicals first!"

Siaxx knew that her kitty was enjoying the attention he was getting as he had proceeded to lie down between the two kids as they both petted him as he purred at them both.

Siaxx opened her tricorder as she examined both children. "Yeah.. Tressa." Siaxx regarded her friend. "Kaylee and Xavier are in excellent health.. now.. I want to poke and prod you." she then gave Tressa a look. "I will be gentle.." her grin widened.

Tressa rolled her eyes and sighed theatrically, both women laughed. "Alright Girl and Boy, out in the waiting room with you," Tressa said as her noisy charges jumped off the bed and ran out the door. "Why walk when you can run," she said, shaking her head as she got on the biobed.

Siaxx smiled in amusement as the cat looked startled before it fled after the two children. "I hope Kaylee and Xavier bring Shonax back..."
Siaxx commented before turning her attention to Tressa. "Now.. my dear... Its time for me... to operate." she gave her friend a sultry smile. "Wanna make Fives's head explode with envy?" she added with a playful grin.

"Envy? Siaxx you overestimate my effect on the opposite sex," the counselor said with a laugh.

Meanwhile Shonax the cat looked around as he mewled loudly before feeling a pair of gentle hands run themselves over his fur before he found himself being picked up, he complained as he found himself face to face with the same two young people who had been petting him only moments ago.

"Let me hold him Kaylee," Xavier said.

He meowed at them.

The girl cuddled the cat close then put him down carefully. He's so soft! she said to her brother's mind. He nodded and stroked the cat's head.

"But since you and Fives are reunited... my diagnosis is this. Finish off your day, go home, take off your uniform, go find Fives and take him to bed." and with that, the Bolian grinned at the shorter human woman.

"Interesting diagnosis doctor," Tressa said, smiling. "I'm not sure that's going to happen today, we've only just arrived!"

"Maybe.." Siaxx responded. "However... my diagnosis is accurate." the Bolian then smiled. "You once said the same thing about Phoenix and I... and she and I are taking a day off to discus plans.."

"I'm glad the two of you are still together, you make an adorable couple," Tressa said.

Siaxx opened her tricorder as she did a quick check of the human woman. "Well.. you're in good health, same as the kids." she paused. "I hope they are looking after Shonax."

"Or he's looking after them."

"Well... if they treat Shonax well.... you could always get one or two of the cats.... but... I do think you and Fives should discuss your relationship..." the Bolian commented. "Don't make the same mistake I did.."

"I'm not sure we're ready for a pet, we'll have to talk about responsibility. And as for Fives, he and I are friends, I've told you that!" Tressa said, flushing.

"I nearly lost Phoenix due to my own stupidity, Torilla had to bash me over the head with a rock over it." she regarded Tressa. "You ever seen her angry... I mean really angry?" she paused. "Ask the barkeep in the Green Dragon what happened..."

Tressa laughed, shaking her head. "I take things very slowly, Siaxx. I thought you knew that about me by now..."

"In any event... you are in excellent health." Siaxx commented. "I'm certifying you as fit for duty, same as everyone else who's crossed swords with me over the last week or so." the Bolian commented.

"Sounds like you've had a rough week."

"In any case... I'll update your records.. and I'll try not to be too demanding, you used to do my job afterall... but for you it'll be a nice change of pace, not looking after a hundred thousand beings as well as a Clunker of a medical ship which as I recall, you hated." the Bolain smiled. "Here, you should have a far lighter caseload."

"Perhaps," the counselor said as she got down off the biobed. "I certainly found my psychiatry degree useful as a medical doctor, I'm sure it will be helpful to have a medical degree as a counselor. I'll see you later?"

"Alright, I'll seeya later, and... send the kitty back in here before you're two kids kidnap him... though I suspect he wouldn't mind the neverending attention." Siaxx then smiled. "But I got something that might clear your head." as she rose to her feet. "Let's head on back to my quarters and I can show you." and with that the two women set off, within moments they were inside Siaxx's quarters, as Siaxx began taking off her clothing, once nude, she wasted no time in slipping on a strap-on.
