Visitation Requests

Mission: Mission 6: Q-ualty Time
Location: Various Locations - Starbase 400
Timeline: 0800Hrs - February 16th, 2389

Lt Commander Torilla Yamaguchi smiled as she gently held her grandson, cradled in her arms as Celeste was in the next room as she changed clothes,
Torilla wanted to spend a little time with Gideon, a request that Celeste was only too happy to accommodate while she had a moment to herself so she
could change clothes and actually feel like she was doing something other then lying around all the time.

Torilla was outside in the main area of sickbay as she fussed over her grandson while several others watched her quietly as they went about their duties but more then a couple said congratulations to her.

Alex approached Torilla , "Hi."

"Captain.." Torilla commented with a smile. "What can I do for you?" Torilla inquired with a smile as her grandson turned his head to regard Alex with his large blue eyes.

"I came to see the new addition to Starbase 400." She smiled.

"Oh yes... Sorry, I forgot... Alexandra Harrison, meet Gideon Yamaguchi, my grandson." Torilla's heart filled with pride at her son's progeny. "Gideon... this is aunt Alex..."

Gideon blinked but otherwise made no noise.

"Oh my. He's a handsome little fella, isn't he." She put her finger in his tiny hand. "I don't remember Paul ever being that tiny."

Torilla smiled as Gideon seemed to grasp gently at the object now within his grasp as the larger woman regarded Alex. "I know that look Alex... I saw it on Celeste's face when she told me she was pregnant... " she explained. "Don't worry about what Paul will think... so long as he's included, he'll be okay.."

Alex shook her head, "I'm not worried. We talked about having a child and plan to do so. I'm just not sure when we can. I think Paul would love to have a brother or a sister."

"Alex..... may I offer my thoughts on the matter?" Torilla smiled as the door opened and out came Cadet Savannah Yamaguchi, wearing her starfleet uniform with a decent sized pack on her back. "Captain." she greeted Alex.

Torilla did the introductions. "Savv, this is Captain Alex Harrison... " she looked at Alex. "Alex. meet Savannah, my daughter."

Alex smiled, "Hi Savannah. It's really nice to meet you."

Savannah gently shook hands with Alex. "Hello Alex. Its good to meet you at last. Rachael keeps talking about you..." the smaller woman chuckled as she
accepted her son from his grandmother. "Well... I'd best go see about getting released from the asylum." she smiled. "did I say that out loud?"

Torilla blinked. "I didn't hear anything.... but then I am getting old.... what about you?" she smiled at Alex

"Nope, not a thing." Alex chuckled a little.

Torilla smiled. "Anyway Alex... I know you want another child... I can see it in your eyes... so don't lose any more time... talk to Captain Pike and move it to the top of your rather lengthy to do list... I know he won't object... besides.. you have plenty of people who are willing to help you get through things... "
she chuckled softly. "the last part and the best part... is for you and Leon to handle... alone."

"Let us get married first. That is, if we don't get called to go on another mission. It's in a few days but a few days seems more like a few weeks."

"I was an Ensign on my first assignment, first tour when I had Elizabeth, Gabriel is at the academy with Savannah," she explained. "Don't let Starfleet or anything else get in you way of what you want... if you do then you'll never have that baby,.... and I know you want one.." she paused. "you could also adopt...."

"Who knows. Maybe one day we will adopt but right now, I want one of my own."

"Then.... if I may be so bold...make appropriate arrangements for Paul to be elsewhere tonight, take Leon and..." she then smiled. "go have fun... and don't let anyone or anything stop you.... now is never a better time."

"I would but he is still doing that Klingon thing. And trying to get rid of Paul isn't a problem. He's always with Rachael. He's very smitten with her. I hardly ever see him as it is. It makes me realize how grown up he is. Before I know it, he'll be at the Academy and I won't see him for a long time." The thought of him leaving made her sad.

Torilla paused. "Ahh..." she commented. "I'd forgotten about that... and as for
Paul... Rachael is head over heels for him." she paused. "she is very mature for her age... and her time of blooming is almost over..." the older woman sighed. "When he goes off to the academy... Rachael will not take losing him all that well...." she sighed softly. "I raised her to be free thinking and independent, not to be judgemental and to always question things around her."

"She won't be losing him anymore than I am. They can still talk to each other."

Torilla looked at the younger woman who was slightly shorter then she was.
"I'm worried about things between them... we know they will consider it before long... Paul wants what you have with Lee and I have with Jake..."

"I know he does. His father and I divorced when he was little so he'd never seen a good relationship until he came aboard Starbase 400. I really hope it works out for them."

Torilla smiled warmly. "You and me both.... "

Alex looked at Torilla, "I probably should get going."

"Alright... Well, we're having a welcoming party for Gideon, the whole family will be there and you are invited.... no sense letting you go hungry while we eat well."

Alex smiled, "I'll think about it. Thank you for the invite. Maybe I'll see you later."

"Alright.." Torilla replied with a smile.

Alex went on her way, out the door and out of the Infirmary.
