Last in and Last Out - Part One

Mission: Mission 3: Quantum of Solace
Location: Various Locations - USS Saratoga
Timeline: 1430Hrs - July 30th, 2388

"Lt Commander Torilla Yamaguchi had all but outright refused to
sit in the Captain's chair as she had yet to feel she had earned the
posting so she made a quiet tour of the bridge, conferring with
the various officers all located there.

"So do you think we will have any more trouble from the Gorn
in this region?" Yamaguchi inquired as she looked at the massive
Bajoran tactical and security Chief who had arms the size of her legs.

To say she was intimidated was being honest but she tried not
to telegraph it to everyone within range of her but he also did
his best to be as none threatening as possible. "We could but...
we should consider strengthening our patrols along this section
of the border."

Torilla nodded. "The pirate Captain probably ambushed the USS
Buraq for some of their science equipment, it could fetch some serious cash on the black market."

That was when the Operations Officer spoke up as she turned her
head as Yamaguchi had to reign in an impulse of jealousy, the
Andorian shen was easily the best-looking person on the bridge
but she either knew about it and didn't care or she didn't know
about it and was ignorant of the fact as she explained. "The Gorn
could also have ships here too... still continuously testing us."

Yamaguchi raised an eyebrow as she shook her head."We're missing
a piece of this puzzle but... first things first..." she sighed.
"Search and Rescue... We saved a lot of lives, today folks... Lets
not forget that."

The response she was was less them steller but that was alright,
she had come to expect this from Starfleet personel and it did not bother her in the least. Had the bridge crew starting cheering and
clapping then Yamaguchi would have been concerned.

As if on command, the turbolift doors opened and out walked the
Deltan Medical officer with a PADD in hand. "Commander, the report
you asked me for."

"Ahh... What do we have Doctor?" she inquired as she went over and
for the first time, she sat down in the Captain's chair as the
The doctor sat down in the Counselor's chair which was direct to the
Captain's left as Yamaguchi smiled. "Mmm... comfortable chair.."

The Doctor smiled as he watched her carefully. "Commander. You've
never sat in the big chair before.... have you?"

Yamaguchi regarded him. "I have had my own command before. With the Captain's rank."
she admitted as she pushed her long mane of chestnut-colored hair off of her shoulders
and back down her back where it belonged. "So, what did we get?"

"Well. we have Thirty-Four survivors..and thirty-nine bodies," he
explained. "The Most senior ranking officer is Lieutenant Helmsley
who was the Operations Officer, most of the wounded were malnutrition and light injuries cases, nothing serious. "

"I hear a but coming Doctor," Yamaguchi responded quietly.

"Indeed... I'm concerned about their mental wellbeing... I'm going to schedule them all to see the Counselors on Starbase 400... and maybe we can get a few of them to talk about their experiences because a few of them are unable to process it completely...

Yamaguchi nodded. "I understand. What else?"

"The way the Pirates attacked, boarded and overwhelmed the USS Buraq and her entire crew with sheer brute strength speaks to the the pirates capabilities and natural tenacity Commander." he paused. "I am concerned about it."
