Mission: Mission 98: Building Our New Home
Location: Various Locations - Starbase Vanguard
Timeline: 1030Hrs - September 11th, 2393

Captain Davijaan Yeager was many things, he was usually easy to get along with and get to know. "Thanks, Ensign." he regarded the young woman before him as she was handing him a PADD. "Sir, you're john henry is requested," she spoke, as he was presently giving the PADD in his hands, the once over. "If this is right, it will cause us more issues regarding our supplies, we still need to bring the gateway online." Yeager sighed softly. "I need to take this to the Admiral, she won't be happy about it."

Yeager sighed as he signed the PADD before he handed it back to the woman before him, "Thanks, Ensign. I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings." as she nodded. "Yessir, thank you." and with that, she turned and departed as Colonel Edward Yeager came around the corner, he found himself facing his twin. "Davijaan..." he commented quietly.

"I was told you were present." Yeager paused as he regarded his twin. "I confess, I did not take it seriously..." Yeager paused. "Even Talon didn't consider it," he added in a quiet tone as he offered the other man his hand. "Welcome to Starbase Vanguard... Brother."

Edward gently took the man's hand. "Thanks... Brother." he paused as he released his new brother's hand. "I never expected to have a brother... How..." he paused. "Do you have children Davijaan... A family?" he asked in a hesitant tone of voice.

"I do... " Davijaan admitted. "I have several children... Monique and Sammy are my two eldest..." he paused. "You had your own daughters with those names... Didn't you?" he asked softly.

"I did," Edward answered softly. "The Borg got them... and everyone else I knew," he explained in a quiet tone of voice.

"I'm Sorry Edward..." Davijaan responded. "I... I don't know how I'd handle that level of loss..." he paused. "But you are here, in a new world... A new reality... You are still my brother, that won't end..." Davijaan nodded, for lack of anything better to say.

"I know... I thank you, brother." Edward paused. "I'm not sure of what to do now."

"Do nothing, let my family come to you. I know Monique will seek you out and Sammy is present on the Starbase," he explained. "She will be seeking you out as well, my other children are all quite young but knowing Talon, she will want to meet you too." Davijaan smiled evenly.

Edward was unsure of what to say, it showed too. "Heather should be contacting her relatives here. I wonder how they will accept her... If they do." he paused. "I know she had issues with hers, maybe this one will be a little different."

"Issues, who is Heather anyway?" Davijaan inquired with a gentle smile.

"You'd recognize her as Gwen Parri." Edward paused. "Do you know of her?"

"I do." Davijaan paused. "I've not thought of her in years... Had Anjoli not been in the way, she and I would have ended up together... Rather then Talon..." he paused before he let out a soft sigh as he recalled what he remembered of Gwen Parri, she was a tall, feisty woman who was easy to get along with and get to know. Yeager smiled as he recalled the night of passion and sex the two had shared but their relationship was not going to last and had no future.

Edward smiled. "Well, Gwen and I ended up together. We have three children together. They are quite young but they make me proud..."

"Good," Davijaan answered with a smile. "So we both have families." he paused. "What will you do now?"

"Remain in Starfleet. Heather wants to serve and honestly, so do I... The technology levels here are much more advanced and I honestly like what I see of the Starfleet in this reality." Edward paused. "I do want to meet your daughters... I highly suspect they will be just like my lost children..."

"You are me, from another reality," Davijaan answered with an easy smile. "I think my daughters would understand... and I will leave them to decide for themselves. Let them welcome you into their lives, now they have an uncle that they didn't have before," he explained with an easy smile.

"You'd welcome me so easily..." Edward answered quietly. "Just like that?"

"Yes. Just like that." Davijaan answered. "Bring your family to dinner tonight aboard the Shinano. Talon and I will both be looking forward to it. Bring your spouse and kids too."

"It'll be interesting if nothing else. What time?" Edward smiled gently.

"Nineteen-hundred hours," Davijaan answered with a soft grin. "It'll be good to meet Heather again... I wonder if she's anything like the Gwen I knew," he added. "Do you know the Talon from your home setting?"

"Perhaps. I will let you and her find out for yourselves." Edward answered with a nod. "No. I've never met her but I did hear about her." he paused. "I won't be too upset if you and Heather end up in bed together..."

"Perhaps," Davijaan answered with an easy smile. "We'll see how this goes." as the two men shared a smile.
