Mirror, Mirror - Part One

Mission: Mission 98: Building Our New Home
Location: Various Locations - USS Daedalus
Timeline: 0900Hrs - September 11th, 2393

Tienn-Yamaguchi Chesna moved down the hallway towards her destination, she smiled as the set of double doors opened on her approach, within was the person she wished to meet, she looked around as she spotted a woman looking much like herself. She was sitting next to a large male and the two were sharing a meal. Tienn-Yamaguchi Chesna turned before she moved over to the replicator in silence, the lounge only had a dozen people and it was easy for everyone to notice new people entering and people leaving. Chesna ordered herself three slices of deep-pan pizza before she moved over to the table she wanted to sit at. "Hello... Do you object if I join you two?" as she regarded her twin.

"I was... actually hoping... you'd join us for lunch," Tienn said in a quiet tone. "You look just like Kerris... I mean no offense."

"Oh... None was taken... I've not heard her name in years." Chesna slid her lithe form into a chair across from her twin. "I hope... we can be friends..."

"You're kin. What are you afraid of?" Tienn regarded her double. "Do you have issues with your family?"

"I have no family Ezas..." she said softly. "They all died during various causes... The Borg finished the last of them off not long ago..." Chesna answered. "Jake and our children are all I have left in this world," she added in a quiet tone of voice.

"Jake... Wait, as in Jake Yamaguchi..." Neban asked softly, the notion that the second woman before him was a twin of his wife was something he found rather interesting, he had never expected to be sitting here or anywhere else, having this chat.

"Yes... Wait, you know my husband?" Chesna inquired.

Neban nodded his head as he glanced at his spouse, seated next to him on his left. "I do, I consider Jake as kin to me and mine," he explained. "One of our sons is named for him," he explained evenly.

Tienn nodded her head. "Jake has a very special place in my heart... But finding out that you are married to your version of Jake... Well, I'll admit, I had never expected that... But then different outcomes happen in different quantum universes right..."

"Indeed so," Chesna answered in a light tone, she took a bite from her pizza while she spoke. "Jake was there instead of you." she addressed Neban. "Who is to say what might have happened... I mean I'm an engineer by trade and I like-" she stopped as she regarded her twin breaking out in gales of laughter. Chesna raised an eyebrow, clearly amused with this. "I amuse you?"

"I'm a Doctor by trade. Engineering is something I rather clueless with... If you want something fixed, you do not wanna be calling me."

"I don't, I call me," Chesna answered evenly. "We are the same person... from two different universes and I am stuck in this one, my husband and children besides me," she added.

Tienn nodded as she quickly calmed down. "Right. I lost sight of that detail... How are you're children going?"

"Serena is settling into life aboard the Daedalus, the ship that rescued us... Jorge does not yet have his assignment. Jasmine and Raelynn are civilians, teenagers being what they are..."

Tienn smiled. "Sounds like ours, getting into everything and I am utterly convinced that they are all more intelligent than me, they are more stubborn then me and they can also toss Kligats better than me too."

"Kligats?" Chesna inquired. Neban slipped his hand into his uniform jacket and he produced several throwing knives that looked almost exotic, round and very sharp looking. "These are Kligats." as he placed it onto the table before the two women. "Don't touch the three golden edges. They are razor-sharp." Neben explained quietly.

Chesna gently picked up the blade in question. "Very nice. It's light..." as she held it in her hands for a moment before she set it back down again. Neban picked it up and slipped it away again as if it had never been there in the first place. Chesna had turned her attention back to Tienn Ezas. "What about the rest of our family...?"

"Mom lives planetside, she has her second husband with her and their children... Iteela and her spouse are both assigned here to this Starbase. Nerra is assigned to the planet below, her husband lives up here. Kerris and her spouse are both assigned to the USS Grey Wolf... and I'm assigned to the Valhalla with Neban here." she paused. "All of our brothers are still living on Bajor with their various spouses... All that is... Except for Koll who seems to have gone off in search of enlightenment..."

"In my universe of origin, I was the last Tienn... It's nice to know that I'm not... Same as Ian is not the last Yamaguchi."

Tienn and Neban shared a look. "Oh right..." Neban admitted a moment later. "Because there was a Jake Yamaguchi here with that name already... Ian needed a new name..."

Chesna nodded. "Same with me, same with my children..." she added. "Because of you, Ezas. I needed a new name... So I selected Chesna." she explained with a nod of her head.

"One who is burdened with troubles. Is that a wise name?" Neban inquired in a gentle tone of voice while he regarded his wife's twin with a concerned look in his eyes. Chesna could see that her sibling had chosen well. "You know Bajoran..." as she nodded with a gentle smile on her lips. "I think the name suits me... I am burdened and I'm stuck in a reality I simply don't know..."

"Only for now," Tienn answered with a smile. "Neban and I were going to be heading planetside this evening, why don't you come with... Meet mom and the family."

"Yes. I would greatly enjoy that..." Chesna answered. "I'll bring Ian and my children..." as she suddenly waved to someone else nearby, she smiled as two teenaged girls appeared. "hey mom..." Jasmine addressed Tienn before Raelynn corrected her. "Jasmine, that's mom... That's... Tienn Ezas?"

"Yes, ladies... do join us.." Neban commented. "Rachael...wh.." he stopped. "In Valens name... You two look just like Rachael Yamaguchi... That's... I'm guessing your uncle on your dad's side." the massive Capellan explained. "You both look just like his daughter..." he paused. "Except the nose of course..."

"Well, we do what we can." the slightly larger of the two teenagers explained. "I'm Raelynn and this is Jasmine." she introduced herself. "Seeing two of mom is... weird..."

"Its a lot to take in for us all," Chesna explained with a gentle smile. "Why don't you two go get yourselves something to eat..." both teenagers proceeded to do exactly that, both moving off as Chesna raised an eyebrow, noting the look on Tienn and Neban's faces. "Ian's influence is very strong..." Neban paused. "I thought it was the mother who set the DNA and looks of the child."

"Not all the time," Tienn answered. "Its why our kids are often a blending of you and me... Torilla looks just like myself and Jake looks like you with my skin tone." Tienn suddenly grinned. "When he goes to the academy, he's gonna have fun humpin' the hunnies..."

Neban sighed softly as he chuckled softly. Chesna did likewise as well.
