Mission: Mission 103: The Rumblings of Discontent
Location: Various Locations - USS Solemn Penance
Timeline: 0800Hrs - August 21st, 2393

Commander Gaggeva Stark tapped the display before her with her left hand once. She is a tall Orion female with a gentle green tinge to her skin, rather than the heavy green skin tone as seen on the average. She carries herself and wears her uniform quite well, in addition to wearing her hair extremely short, she also carries a very heavily muscular physique to her body, she knew she was large and intimidating and while at times, she did care about it, at other times she didn't and this was one of the latter times.

"Alright, guys. We've all seen the results of the exercises and what I aim to do is to find ways we can go about handling things better then we did. I want ideas on the table on how we can go about arranging it." the tall and massively built Orion female said in her usual blunt style of address while she regarded the small crowd of engineers present in the room.

"Well, it's not like we lost." Someone said as the Orion sighed. "I know we didn't lose, but I want to know how we can do things better," she commented evenly. "We need to work on our communication," one of the engineers commented. "I found that too few people were talking to each other," he added to explain himself.

"What do you mean by that?" one of the other Engineers asked of the young man who was presently doing the speaking.

"We either fight together or we die alone." the young man answered, with an air of finality.

"Go on." Stark inquired further.

"Well, it's just that we weren't working together as well as we could have. Oh sure, the simulation was not real and the like, so what does it matter." the man explained for the benefit of everyone present. "Some of the people here are old hands at this, some are newer, some of us are from species who've been out in space for centuries, if not millennia while others have only been around for years, if not decades... We all have unique experiences which we must learn to share better."

"Well, it doesn't help that most of us are reservists who were called up to serve on active duty." one of the other engineers answered in a crass tone of voice. "I was expecting to be around for a weekend or maybe a week not for an open-ended assignment, I got other stuff I need to look after back home."

Stark knew about that detail, she had also been one of the ones to request some reservists to fill out her department's roster to bring her numbers up to a hundred percent, she figured she would train the good ones and toss the bad ones as needed. "Did you stick in a request to go home then?" the tall Orion inquired.

"I did, they tell me its processing and pending an answer. I can't keep waiting." the man answered.

"Ahh, you watch, he's probably human defense league or some stupid crap like that." came the unexpected statement out of the left field.

One of the guys in the lack of the room chuckled softly. before he tossed a comment at the rest of the room which instantly pissed off everyone who was not human. "Well. We could always ask the Human Defense League for their ideas, I mean they-" a voice suddenly said

"The who?" Stark inquired. "Are you seriously kidding me?" she added a moment later. "Stand up so I know who you are."

Nobody stood up when suddenly one of the engineers grabbed the man next to him and shoved him out of his chair. "Fucking human elitist fuck," he commented as he did so. "Hey, fuck you." his accent had marked him to Stark's ear as the man who had spoken up beforehand. "You, step outside and head for my office, you will wait for me there and I will deal with you when I get there." she was about finished then one of the other Engineers physically grabbed him and threw him into the wall. "Human-centric fuck."

Several of the human Engineers went for the Bajoran engineer and Stark found herself in the middle of a brawl that had broken out almost without warning whatsoever. Stark found herself facing two of her own engineers. "That's enough.." she demanded as one of them took a swing at her, she smashed her fist into the chest of the first one, downing him. The second engineer moved away, clearly leery as she slapped her combadge. "Briefing room two to security, I have a brawl on my hands... Send-Uhh" she tried to get out before someone clobbered her from behind, she had a moment to note the floor hurtling up at her face, the impact was surprisingly painless but the world went black.
