Posted on Fri Jan 31st, 2025 @ 2:46am by Captain Kalandra "Kassie" Paris & Lieutenant Kadian Paris & Marcus Solusar

Mission: Mission 120: All Along the Watchtowers - Part Two
Location: Various Locations - Utgarde IV
Timeline: 2200Hrs - February 2nd, 2394

Captain Kassie Paris was wearing her starfleet uniform with the cold winter jacket over the top of her uniform top. Her two daughters were standing beside her in the spaceport customs area. Kassie wasn't going past the customs area, as she had to head back to the USS Tribal. However, Stephanie and Nicole were going through customs to stay with their eldest sibling and her present boyfriend.

Stephanie looked over at her mother. She had a large pack on her back and a second pack at her feet. In her left hand, she held a PADD carrying her documentation. Her sibling had the same items, she also carried two bags as well. Both teenagers were tired, and it showed too.

Nicole turned to her mother. "Can you feel Kadian?"

"I do, she's close by," Kassie answered before she turned to her two daughters. "Okay. Go ahead and head through customs. I think... Yes, she's ready to receive you both now." she explained.

Stephanie reached down, she picked up her bag in silence. "We'll see you in two weeks Mom." before she set off, without any preamble or even saying goodbye to her mother.

Kassie sighed softly as she watched Nicole follow her sibling into the customs area. Kassie then called the USS Tribal for a beamup. She vanished after a few moments.

Stepanie went over to the customs desk and she settled in to wait before the first official beckoned her forward, she had been through this several times so she knew exactly what to do and what to say. As well as what not to say and not to do. So she went forward and went about the affairs of the state. Nicole followed in silence.

A short time later, the two went into the welcome area where they found their eldest sibling, standing there. Kadian Paris was in uniform. Her attire was exactly the same as their mother's. Stephanie then took notice of the man standing beside Kadian. She raised an eyebrow as she approached her sibling who stood in silence.

Marcus Solusar regarded the two teenagers with a measure of concern. Both looked tired and exhausted. He was also willing to bet that neither had had a decent meal today either. "Ladies. Welcome to Utgarde." he greeted the two teenagers with a nod of his head. However, he was expecting nothing but dry sarcasm and attitude.

Stephanie smiled. "Hey," she said in a soft tone of voice. "It's good to be here."

Kadian regarded her younger siblings, there was a decade of age difference between them. She gently hugged Stephanie and Nicole. "Hey, you two."

"Kadian. I didn't expect you to be here." Nicole commented in a light tone of voice. "Imagine my surprise when mom told us you were going to be watching over us for the next few days. I don't know what to think."

"Since none of us talk, for whatever reasons," Kadian answered. "Heather, James and Julian are off at the academy," she commented. "I was able to get Julian to start talking again and Heather can't shut up. Not that I minded much. Our last chat was me listening and her talking."

Solusar regarded the two teens. "How are you two ladies doing, really?" he inquired in a gentle tone, while he took note of their various states.

"Well, I." Nicole breathed out in a rush before she yawned. "Mmm. Sorry," she commented. "It's been a long day," she admitted with a sigh.

"I understand. Can I take any of your bags?" he inquired gently.

"No thanks," Nicole answered. "Thanks anyway, though." she smiled at him.

"Alright. Are you guys able to go?" Solusar inquired of the two teens.

Nicole simply nodded her head yes as Stephanie smiled. "Yeah," she answered quietly.

"Alright, Our ride's this way." Solusar then turned and headed out of the arrivals terminal. The three Paris women followed in silence. Solusar sat down in the pilot's chair as Kadian went to the co-pilot station. Nicole took a seat in the back with Stephanie sitting down across from her.

Solusar got clearance for departure and within moments the shuttle was airborne. Kadian regarded her two siblings, they had both changed recently. She could feel their psionic power was stronger now than it was when she had last seen them. Kadian looked at Nicole. "When was the last time you ate?" she asked gently, while she was expecting to trigger a shitstorm.

"Dinner," she answered. "It was..." the teen trailed off as Stephanie interrupted. "It sucked Kadian. Mom was explaining things to us, but neither of us had any time to process anything. It didn't help that we could have been here this morning, but Mom opted not to drop us off until really late, thinking..." she paused with a sigh.

"She thought that all we would do was annoy you. So she wanted us tired so we would not be a drag to you." Nicole explained softly.
