Commander Tienn Iteela smiled as she regarded her spouse. "We should be finished out here sometime in the next week or so. Then we'll be heading to Vanguard for a couple of weeks." Iteela smiled. "Then I'll be able to come home for ten days' leave," she explained. "Depending on how you feel about it and how things are around the house. We can go camping."
"You have no idea how much I've been looking forward to this." Gyce grinned at her spouse.
"About as much as I have. I reckon." Iteela slowly smiled. She paused. "I think that's how it goes," she added after a moment of hesitation.
"It sounds like you're old personality is coming back," Gyce observed as she watched her spouse sit back down in her chair.
"It has been a slow process with experimenting with being spontaneous." the Bajoran explained. She had desired to bring as much of her old personality back as Bajoranly possible. "I thought I was unsure of who or what I was. It's been a long process of transitions, interlaced with moments of revelations." Iteela quickly explained. "Some of it has been rewarding in various ways. Others have been educational in various ways while others have been a chore to deal with," she added. "It's been an evolution of who and what I am. It won't stop here and it'll continue for the foreseeable future." Iteela smiled.
"Mmm... I can well imagine." Gyce commented
Iteela paused before she looked at her spouse. "What of you.?" she asked. "How are things with you these days?"
Gyce regarded her wife with a smile on her lips. "I have been getting some work done with my own issues," she explained. "The Akurians have been generous with their medical technology and while they have found me a tough case to deal with. They are helping me to deal with my mobility issues," she explained. "I should be fully back to normal in about two months or so. They have me in for several procedures. One of them will be to rebuild my entire nervous system. Another will be an age-rejuvenation session. So I'll lose a good twenty years of my life in one sitting." Gyce paused. "That's going to be interesting."
"I can well imagine." Iteela smiled as she regarded her wife. "I've read about the medication. It's not a serum. It's actually a swarm of medical nanites." she explained. "It's administered in two sessions, both of them are about two hours apart as they need time to see how you process the first batch. The second batch is about six times as potent as the first one. Everyone reacts differently to this medication." Iteela explained.
"How bad can it be?" Gyce inquired.
"They will have already given you these examinations to find out your issues." The Bajoran explained. "They would have already explained the downsides to you," Iteela added with a nod of her head. "The Akurians might be many things but they will not fuck with you on the matter." she then shrugged.
"Okay, they never really said anything bad," Gyce commented.
"Good," Iteela answered. She inhaled deeply as she paused. "Very good," she commented. "So when the time comes in about a year. You'll be as mobile as I am." the Bajoran grinned as she regarded her spouse before her.
"Yep. I frankly, can't wait either." Gyce added with a wide grin. "Then we can discuss our own children," she added. She then smiled as she regarded her spouse. The two had not expected to discuss the matter. It had never come up before but clearly. Then was not now.
"I had no idea you were considering it," Iteela responded. For her, this statement was a major revelation and was one she had not expected.
"Nevertheless. Since you are considering it. We will discuss this further." Iteela commented as she regarded her spouse. "But it sounds like you have it all figured out."
"I'd like to think I do," Gyce commented. "But I welcome a second opinion," she added. "We can go over it now if you wish."
"Okay, now is good," Iteela answered. She then took a moment to redo her hair. She lifted her hands up and over her head, this had the effect of lifting her chest as Gyce smiled. She didn't miss her wife's display for what it was. Gyce missed her spouse. She knew that Iteela missed her as well.
Iteela finished with her hair. "Go on with your plans?" she asked of her spouse.
"Well, I'll finish all of these medical checks and operations," Gyce answered. "This will take about six to eight months," she added. "Then after that. I can go and find a suitable male donar and have a child with you." Gyce explained. "Planning for the event and seeking a suitable donar should take me about two months. I want to ease into it rather than be like Saki and dive in headfirst." Gyce regarded her spouse with a smile.
