Parting the Storm Clouds

Mission: Mission 98: Building Our New Home
Location: Various Locations - Starbase Vanguard (47)
Timeline: 1030Hrs - May 29th, 2393

The doors opened and out stepped Lieutenant Tienn Iteela, she looked tired and exhausted as she carried her infant daughter in her arms, she infant was sound asleep and the Bajoran female was in no rush to disturb her daughter, her two German Shepard dogs followed in silence as the father of her children walked beside her, while he carried their son.

Hysre was awake in his father's arms as the child fussed while Tienn sighed, knowing that T'Ree was going to wake up any second. As sure as death and taxes, the child woke up a moment later with a start.

Tienn sighed softly as she tried to calm her child. "Easy sweetie," she said quietly, as the two approached a security checkpoint.

The female security officer regarded the Bajoran female fussing over her child in her arms. "Is everything okay you guys?" she inquired of the two people before her, the two dogs regarded the security officers with a measure of trepidation and concern.

Tienn sighed softly as she recovered herself. "Its nothing we've not dealt with a million times before," she responded. "Permission to go aboard?"

The female officer nodded her head. "Let me have a look at your paperwork first." she sighed. "Sorry.."

Tienn produced two PADD's as if conjuring them from the shadows around the small group of people present. The Bajoran woman handed them over without comment or question.

The security officer read the PADD's before she handed them both back to Tienn, who quickly secured the two PADD's in her messenger bag. "Go on board. Thanks, El Tee."

Tienn nodded her head as she proceeded to board the Starbase. Nebris was able to calm their son while Tienn sighed while she held onto the fussing T'Ree.

Once through the airlock, the two of them entered the Starbase proper before going through a second security checkpoint, once that was taken care of, another Bajoran female approached. "Hello, you two." Tienn Durin addressed her aunt and her boyfriend. "Need a hand?" before she greeted the two German Shepard dogs who recognized her instantly.

"Oh, prophets yes. Hold her please before I lose my mind." Tienn suddenly thrust the infant at her niece. Durin accepted her cousin in silence. "Troubles?" the younger woman inquired.

"These two are demanding. They are driving us insane!." Tienn Iteela explained with a sigh.

"Well, that's fine. I'm an old hand at this sort of thing, besides I heard that Aunt Nerra is going to be around too. Or so I heard."

"You, me and Nerra, all in the one place. Is the Universe ready for that level of insanity?" Iteela inquired."Ezas and Kerris aren't too far from here either."

Nebris had held his silence until now, finally spoke up. "No." he answered Iteela's first statement rather bluntly before he let out a soft sigh. "Yeah. It'll be good to have everyone in one place again," he added with a soft sigh. "Would you mind going find our new home?," he commented. "While I go check in, then I'll come find you and then we can take the kids down to the hospital for the coming aboard checkup," he explained.

"Yeah, we can take care of it." Iteela responded with a nod. "It won't take long." as she and Durin shared a look before the two women moved off, a child in each of their arms. Yamaguchi turned and departed in silence as he sought out the home of the thirty-third starfighter wing where he was to be assigned.
