Mission: Mission 79: Sound Trumpets! Let Our bloody Colors Wave
Location: Various Locations - Zol'Maz System
Timeline: 1810Hrs - April 15th, 2392

The space around the USS Fall of Berlin and her attendant escorts turned from quiet, black space full of stars to a messy furball of explosions, fire and death as warheads sped out of launchers and sped towards their destinations, a volley of death crisscrossed each other with a few warheads connecting, spending their ordinance as their systems sensed their impacts and the warheads detonated, creating massive explosions which only consumed themselves and they quickly dissipated like they were never there, to begin with as the shards of the warheads spread out from there to parts unknown.

Deepshadow watched the tactical display as the second volley of warheads began launching off of the Federation ships before speeding towards the large Klingon forces that were presently locking horns with the assembled Gorn fleet present.

Anderson watched his panel. "Six seconds to impact for volley one... twelve for two.. and nineteen for the third," he reported, no emotion whatsoever in his tone.

Gadiwat nodded at his report. "All other ships adding to the pot..." she reported. "Firing volley number four.."

"Skipper... We're closing to optimal weapons range now." the handsome Betazoid woman reported from Conn. "Sixty seconds to contact." Stera Uchei added almost as an afterthought.

"Stand by to initiate evasive maneuvers. We do not need to collide with any Klingons stupid enough to not be paying attention.."

Lieutenant Stera Uchei nodded her head, her ponytail swaying from side to side. "Copy.." she responded as she began the maneuvers specified as another few hundred warheads sped from the Federations ships assembled and shot downrange, impacting into Klingon ships, the chaos of the battle was starting to be noticeable even from thirty seconds out. "Jesus christ.." Master Chief Petty Officer Beverly Griffin who was the Chief of the Boat, muttered under her breathe. The Human female had not seen action before so all of this was new to her. "My God.."

Deepshadow regarded the large furball happening down range "Well that's new." in truth the older human in the center seat agreed in silence with her Chief of the Boat but she had to keep her emotions out of it.

Deepshadow sighed as another volley of weapons fire, the fifth in this case emerged from the various launchers before speeding its way downrange before the warheads began impacting Klingon ships shields or their hull, producing various explosions on the hulls or penetrating before detonating, several ships exploded due to this volley before a group of Klingon ships broke off from the Gorn fleet and came to engage the Federation force.

"Klingon ships closing to engage." the Andorian Thaan seated at Operations reported as if he was reading the news, with his usual dry wit and a side of boredom. "Tactical... Oh, dearest.. Could you do something about those pests?"

There were a few snickers from people around the bridge as Lt Commander Hiraxea Gadiwat responded with her two cents. "Yes. Yes... Don't rush me... I'm working on it.." she responded as she launched another massed wave of the ordinance from her warhead launchers before the large Bolian female abandoned subtlety and she directed all the ships present to launch everything instead of waves of the ordinance. With hundreds of warheads flying between their various targets, some crashed into Federation ships with shields glinting gold from weapons strikes, many more smashed into the rushing Klingon ships, killing more often than not.

Suddenly another thousand of so Klingon ships began to decloak and they opened fire. "Oh, crap." Robert Anderson muttered ever so softly.

Leah Anderson's eyes opened wide as she realized the horror of their situation. "Umm... Hiraxea... Start shooting at those guys please.."

"Aye skipper.." the handsome Bolian responded as she began spamming all of her weapons, as soon as they became available, she launched the warheads at the Klingons as the Chief Conn Officer swung the Fall of Berlin about, the Bolian smiled as she cut loose with the forward weapons array.

The Klingons seemed to be something of a remorseless wave of targets that were advancing on the Fall of Berlin and the small fleet she was with.

Deepshadow sighed. "Conn, can we still get out of here?"

"Negative Skipper... The Klingons have blocked off our escape." Lieutenant Stera Uchei explained, there was no fear in her voice, just a quiet resolution to see this battle through to the end.

Deepshadow sighed. "Alright... Let's get this battle over with." the older female commented softly as the battlespace around the various Federation ships exploded into a maelstrom of light, heat, and energy. Thanks to the effects of thousands of warheads chasing their targets and crashing into them.

For a time it seemed that all was lost for the Federation and Gorn force when Lieutenant T'Rai turned. "Captain. I'm detecting over a thousand Gorn ships of various types. closing on us... they are making for the Klingon's positions." the female Vulcan explained.

Lt Commander Hiraxea Gadiwat cheered loudly, while many others did likewise as the Federation forces watched as the Klingon force was torn asunder by the massive Gorn fleet that had arrived in the system.

Within minutes the battle was over as the surviving Klingons all broke and fled for their lives as the Federation and the Gorn fleet hosed down the Klingons with high amounts of ordinance.

"Stand down from Alert," Deepshadow commented in a soft tone of voice. "Hail the Gorn Fleet... ask them if they require assistance?" she paused as she added. "Send to all ships... Fine work and well-done everyone."

Commander Logan nodded as he went to work. "Messages sent skipper."
