Timeline: Mar 25th 2392

Kusekari Okino walked into Hobb's office commenting. "hey colonel, Lancaster just had a disaster."

Hobbs shot up from behind her desk. "Disaster?. Can you be more specific?, Was there a fire on board or a warp core breach?"

Kusekari shook her head in disgust. "No, if only it was that simple. No this is a discipline issue. Apparently post of the senior staff of the four battalions on the ship decided to have a battle royal brawl in the mess hall, and the captain of Lancaster is complaining rather loudly about it."

"What senior staff?. What the hell did they do?" Hobbs asked.

Kusekari looked at her report," Apparently it involves officers from battalions 3/47, 4/47, 47 RSB and 47 REB. some random lieutenant said something stupid and managed to start a massive fight in the officers mess."

Hobbs looked dumbfounded. "are you sure? that sounds like the whole command. That can't be right."

Kusekari handed the report to Hobbs. "See it for yourself. The security recordings caught it all."

Hobbs moaned. "Get a list of everyone involved and have them in my office by tomorrow morning. I also want a report by security."

Kusekari pointed at the PADD she had, "Both are already done, and on this PADD. But I will let them all know, just warning you, there are about forty people whom were involved."

"Forty?. Are you shitting me?" Hobbs asked. "Okay, just send me the senior officers."

Kusekari nodded. "Got it, so I take it oh eight hundred, since we start off with our field exercises at ten hundred right?"

"That sounds good, thank you." Hobbs told Kusekari. "I'll hold off on my coffee."

Kusekari nodded and headed out of the room. With the known problems with Argonne's marines already, she wondered how in the hell did she have the misfortune of ending up in this unit, now that Lancaster was looking to be far worse.

The door opened and in walked Major Tragg Highmountain, he snorted gently. "Please tell me that what I just heard was an early april fools day joke?" he growled. "We relieved Tienn Nerra for three counts of assault and these idiots on Lancaster won't be punished?"

Kusekari growled in response. "No this is not a joke, this is the reality of the shitty unit we have been assigned to. Again." In a fit of rage she brought her fist down on one of the consoles, but all she succeeded in doing was hurting her own hand, badly. Visibly wincing, she tried her best to hide her pain.

Highmountain regarded the small being a simple look. "Yeah... Tienn could have handled things far better then she did... but this brawl... I'd like to lock them all up and throw away the key." before he drove his massive fist into the console and trashed it with the one blow.

Kusekari shook her head. "Sorry, but I fail to see how Tienn is much better than the rest around here. Treated me like shit the moment I got here and generally treated everyone else like garbage, then attacking a starfleet engineer for no reason at all, sorry but leaders like that is why this unit is so toxic."

Highmountain snorted softly. "I need a drink..." he paused. "Thats it.." before he picked up a PADD. "There are days when I wish I could get hammered... and today.. I will do that.." as he drew out a note to everyone in his battalion to drop whatever they are doing and head to the Green Dragon on Roanoke for a drink, Highmountain would pay for it.

Kusekari was completely caught off guard by Tragg's actions, and she was not sure at all what to say on the matter.

Highmountain turned to the small being. "You want a drink.. on me?" he inquired. "Come on then... Maybe this will help... I.. honestly don't know.."

Kusekari shook her head. "Unfortunately someone like me getting drunk around marines doesn't often end well."

Highmountain nodded. "Thats not a serious concern here." he commented. "Whats the worst that can happen... you beat up a couple of drunk marines.. hell anything is an improvement to the units morale at this point."

Kusekari looked to the side and sighed. "No worst that can happen to me is they start treating me like a damn housepet and any chance of me being a successful sergeant major afterwords completely evaporates. As it stands most marines already lack the ability to treat a Shiar seriously."

Highmountain regarded her. "Makes sense. Now that... I have no idea how to handle that one... I'd only ever served with Caitians but with no others who have fur..."

Kusekari gave him a look. "It isn't just the fact that we have fur, its also the fact that we are normally somewhat smaller than humans as well."

The Tauren regarded her with a look all his own. "I understand." he rumbled before he let out a snort which sounded like a soft rumble from a distant storm. "So... My predecessors left me a rather large turd-pile to clean up... Tienn wasn't the worst leader this unit ever dealt with... Not even close... Major Rol'chok was the one who did the damage to the unit... or rather whats left of it."

Kusekari decided to enlighten Highmountain on the issue. "Well I can tell you this much, Colonel Nye and Major Rol'Cholk devastated the units morale in how they acted and how Nye expended his troops as casually as ammunition. Both of them had an extremely uncaring attitude and Major Tienn's attitude when she got to the unit, the troops saw her as no different than Nye and Rol'cholk."

"Now they got me." Highmountain let out a long dish which honestly sounded more like a large consignment of gravel being dumped somewhere. "Lovely." he lifted a PADD. "Okay then... I see I'm going to need to get creative about things."
