Mission: Mission 67: In The Service of Life and the Living
Location: Various Locations - USS Dreamcrusher
Timeline: 1100Hrs - March 16th, 2392

Lieutenant Selgae regarded Zuko, she had a duffel over her right shoulder with all of her gear and equipment inside it. "So... we go aboard and then report to sickbay so the Doctors can poke and prod us to make sure we're not bringing back some exotic bug from some shitheap that we hit..?"

Zuko nodded. "Yeah we don't want to come back with Klingon lice or something like that. Though I have to say, as interesting as it was, I am glad to be back."

Selgae chuckled softly through to the untrained ear it sounded like a coughing sound. "Come on... Lets head on down to sickbay then and go put Tanya Stevenson out of my misery." Selgae responded.

Zuko didn't immediately respond as the pair made their way to sickbay.

As expected, the human female with the name of Tanya Stevenson was waiting for both of them as they entered sickbay. "Ahh.. Hey everyone, our glorious leader has returned."

Selgae growled at her before she hissed at Stevenson loudly.

"Aww.. What the matter kitty..?" Stevenson responded in a droll tone of voice. "You not get fed enough."

"I am going... to hurt you.. if you keep that up." Selgae growled loudly.

"Oh my.." Stevenson chuckled softly. "Death threats.. Oh dear.." she turned to Zuko. "Alright... I guess I'll look at you first then.."

Zuko gave Stevenson a look. "I think I may be the only one you are looking at today."

Selgae glowered at the Doctor who smiled sweetly back at her. "Nah... I'll handle Ms. Ragecase here as I normally do. She steps out of line then I'll just gave her some catnip."

Selgae growled softly but otherwise, she said nothing as Stevenson gave Zuko the once over. "Well other then the detritus of a month spent in combat, you are somewhat malnourished so eat some extra food and go get some sleep..."

Selgae silently waited for her turn which came moments later. "So.. Selgae.. you feeling malnourished at all?" the human inquired. "My tricorder says you have various deficiencies in various places.."

"Yes... I always seem to be hungry.."

"Well, I have good news and bad news for you," Stevenson responded. "You are pregnant Selgae.."

Selgae suddenly found herself speechless, her mind quickly cleared of all rational thought the way escape pods fled a doomed ship of the line.
"Huh..." Selgae mumbled moments later. "But......Err...."

Zuko also heard Stevenson's statement, prompting him to ask. "Selgae, you were supposed to be nice to the Ferasians we rescued."

Stevenson raised an eyebrow as she began to perform a paternity test. "Well... It's not like some of them didn't offer and... They were willing... I didn't mind."

"Mmmm... Well.." Stevenson raised an eyebrow. "Selgae... That actually might be a problem.." as she turned to look at Zuko. "You are the father."

Zuko's brain seemed to stop working at that statement with his only response being, "Impossible."

Stevenson regarded Zuko with a look. "I ran the check twice, to be sure..." she explained quietly. "Zuko. you are the father.."

Zuko was left there scratching his head. "I didn't think Caitians and Ankuri could interbreed."

"Neither did I skipper," Stevenson responded. "I'm going to have to ask one of my research scientists to look at this... I have a funny feeling about this... Considering neither of us expected this development."

Selgae looked unsure of what to say and that she was confused. "Well... Umm.."

"The fact that you are pregnant might explain a great deal Lieutenant... Maybe you should go home and sleep on it, then come back when you've cleared your head, we can discuss options then."

"Yeah.. that... that sounds like a...ummm good idea." Selgae managed to get out. "Yes... I'll do that..."

Zuko was unsure of what to say at this point. "Well is there any other insane surprises you want to drop on us."

Stevenson regarded Zuko. "Nope... Everything here has been quiet. Asides from the Spartan situation. I'm sure the Commander will want to brief you on that little dance." she explained. "I will need to let the Lieutenant calm herself down as she processes the news that she is pregnant... Could you assist me in this regard?" she paused a moment. "It'll greatly help me out in regards to Selgae."
