The Restless Shades of the Past - Part Five

Location: Tuanko Colony - Planet surface - Starfleet Temporary Accommodation
Timeline: 1900Hrs Local Time - Feb 24th, 2392

Lieutenant Tienn Iteela was now changed out of her uniform and now was wearing civilian clothing, she had come back not twenty minutes earlier and was still processing the news that her mother was alive, after all this time.

She went over to the subspace com unit she had been given, she tapped the display once as she decided to call the Rawalpindi in orbit where Gyce was presently staying, her girlfriend was probably doing paperwork or something. Gyce was always busy doing something.

Tienn regarded Gyce's face when she appeared, she smiled happily, she felt that she could fly on sheer emotional willpower alone. "Gyce... You'll never believe what happened to me today....." she had to breathe to be able to get the words out. "She's alive... after all this time... Mom's alive.!"

"That's really good to hear, My Love." Gyce smiled. Bittersweet for she longed to have such a happy ending for her family as well. "You met her yet?"

"Oh yes." Tienn explained softly. "I was with an away team checking on various farmsteads... and I quite literally ran into her when she came to greet us at the game.." Tienn explained briefly what happened. "It was.... I dunno what to say... but... I have relatives.."

"You want me to come to you for a few nights?" Gyce offered with love and concern. "I can only imagine the shock you're going through."

Tienn Iteela paused before she nodded. "Would you mind terribly?" she inquired. "Its... still sinking in.." she paused. "Mom has a Cardassian husband and children... But... she's happy...and.. I'm okay with that." she paused. "But... I have questions..."

"I'll be there in twenty hours, My Love," Gyce promised. For she needed to pack and get clearance to leave.

Tienn smiled. "Thank you... I look forward to it." she sighed. "I have a lot to process.... and I need to tell my siblings that their mother is alive and well..."

"Comm me if you need me before I get there," Gyce told Tienn very gently.

Tienn smiled warmly at the other woman before she blew her a kiss. "I will... when you get here, come find me.... Even if I'm asleep, don't be shy... climb in with me... I'd welcome it."

"I will," Gyce smiled brightly. "Take care, My Love."
