Mission: Mission 61: The Blood-Dimmed Tide
Location: Zh'kuar system
Timeline: Feb 11th 2392

Fighting in the city had been rougher than expected. Multiple Akurian tanks had been disabled throughout the city, mainly due to CRM weapons, however sending the AA tanks in front had proven effective, as they could elevate their guns to engage Tekevek warriors on the rooftops. However it was several hours worth of fighting before the first tanks made it to Ahunei's Position, however they made an entrance, most Tekevek warriors died to the tank assault but some chose to retreat instead.

Ahunei was grateful at their arrival. In addition to Saekin, both Fuzoln and Aliskon where wounded and had to be evacuated. It was only through constant artillery barrages that Ahunei's Squad avoided more casualties. However they where desperately low on ammunition, which the tankers where happy to remedy that situation. The area surrounding the building her squad had occupied had hundreds of craters and hundreds of bodies around it, the result of the near constant artillery fire.

Ahunei then got in contact with the commander of the lead Super heavy Tank destroyer, and then she said to her squad and the Hurgh'mas marines," Alright take cover, our tanks are about to blow down that door.

Michael Yamaguchi who's armor was covered on detritus from the local area simply dove for cover, his rifle in his arms as he found the cover he sought.

Several of the Marines from the IKS Hurgh maS were seeking their own cover as the ordinance flew around them, when suddenly one of them took a round, the kinetic force went right through him and detonated against the wall behind him.

Mietnez aimed her tanks 28.5 cm gun at the door and fired. The first shell struck near the middle of the door, punching a hole clean through and exploding on the other side, killing any Tekevek warriors waiting there. The Door however, didn't fall, so the red fox patterned Kurokuri orders an HC round to be loaded. 15 seconds later she fired that round at the door. The round cratered the door but failed to breach it. So she had another HC round loaded, and fired again. This time the door bent inward bot still held, though barely. Then she fired a third round once it was loaded, and with a satisfying boom, the door fell inward, allowing the Akurian infantry access.

Second Major Yuuzim and Second Major Vahkrinn brought their squads up to Ahunei's position. They had been stuck in the adjacent building until the tanks cleared the Tekevek warriors out. Yuuzim looked up at Ahunei, "Ready to finish this."

Ahunei looked down at the Arun Kurokuri, whom was less than half her height. "I've been ready for hours, but the suicide brigade was determined to keep us from going anywhere." Pointing to the hundreds of dead bodies surrounding the building."

Yamaguchi meanwhile picked himself up out of the mudhole he was lying in. "Lovely... another planet... another mudhole."

Several of the Hurgh maS marines were now lying dead while several others had been wounded. They were now down to one overstrength platoon from an understrength company.

Three AA tanks arrived led the way into the palace courtyard, with one Akurian Squad following each tank. Ahunei had her squad follow the first tank through. The Courtyard was quite large and luxurious by Klingon standards but at the same time that was as far as the tanks could go, as surrounding the courtyard was the main palace building. Just on the other side of the door there where dozens of dead warriors, no doubt killed by the 28.5 cm AP round that exploded on on their side of the door. However there where more guards present and they opened fired on the tanks and tried to hit the infantry behind them, however they didn't last long as the AA tanks 40 mm disruptor cannons quickly tore them to shreds.

Yamaguchi popped up as he began seeking targets, he spotted a sniper nearby that was shooting at his own guys, he then exploded the man's head and torso with a high velocity round that detonated on impact.

Once the Courtyard was clear additional vehicles and Akurian troops made their way in, and then Ahunei turned her attention to the Palace," Alright, now we mov-.

Her command got cut off by a CRM Beam striking her in the back, going through her side. in an instant Ahunei went down and one of the AA tanks immediately opened up on the position of the shooter, turning him into red paste.

The remaining Hurg Mas marines all dove for cover, one Klingon popped up before he began shooting in the direction of where he assumed the sniper was located, he didn't realize the shooter was already dead.

It took him a minute or so before the Klingon began to realize the man was indeed dead before he stopped shooting.

Emika Asmali immediately went to tend to the injured Ahunei while Tanvax assumed command of the squad.

Yamaguchi meanwhile was still looking for snipers when a round went past him. "Did you see him?" someone inquired.

"Second floor, third window from the left." Yamaguchi commented. "Cover me.." and with that two others proceed to start putting rounds through various windows to the left and to the right of the one window in question as Yamaguchi proceeded to shoot the Klingon sniper, dead, the round went through the right and through the Klingon's skull, tearing his head apart.

1st Major Eryis approached with dozens of Robot squads following while the AA tanks continued putting rounds into Sniper positions. She then motioned to the front door," Alright we move in on the palace, now."

One of the AA tanks fired a missile at the front door, blowing it clean off, and Battlesuit Squads led the way into the building.

The dozen or so Hurgh'Mas Marines followed the Akurian forces into the building, they cleared each room they went into with a level of professionalism that the Federation didn't see outside of their own marine forces.

Akurian troops began flooding into Tekevek's palace, clearing the whole palace room to room. The whole complex however was very large and it took hours to clear the building, with the troops finally converging on Tekevek's main hall, where the house leader himself was surely located. Tanvax himself as well as the whole squad was pretty well worn out by this point. Three further squad members, Fuzoln, Alikson and Kamai had to be evacuated because of their injuries.

The door itself to the main hall was rather well fortified, but not strong enough to resist the demo charges that Hakavak was setting. Tanvax looked at his rather worn-out squad," Ready to finish this."

Mazar and Maya both nodded and various other members of the squad reacted in different ways.

The Commander of the Hurgh'Mas Marines nodded to the Akurian leader, indicating that he was prepared and his troops were likewise.

Michael Yamaguchi nodded his head as he pulled out the magazine of his weapon, he then tapped it once against his head. "Lets kill his bastard." before he rammed the magazine back home and then he readied his rifle in all aspects. "Ready to roll!"

Tanvax looked at Hakavak, "Alright blow the door."

Hakavak nodded and pressed down on the detonator. The charges blew the door inward and Mazar and Maya threw in stun grenades into the room. Once they detonated the Squad moved in, with Stormtrooper Corporal Tevia Derni leading the assault.

Everything seemed to go alright until Tevia took a headshot from a CRM 114, killing her instantly. It was then when everyone realized what they where facing. Two large power armored Klingons where within the room, along with Dozens of other warriors in heavy armor themselves. They where facing Tekevek's most elite soldiers. And there sitting at the head of the great table in the middle of the room, Sat House leader Tekevek himself, the obese Klingon was munching on some blue meat of some kind. His orders where simple," Kill them all."

The Tekevek warriors charged the squad, the two heavily armored warriors suits deflected even 20 mm cannon fire from the battlesuits. Mazar immediately unloaded on the CRM gunner, killing him before he could get a second shot off. However another warrior got close enough to swing his sword at the small kurokuri. Mazar avoided the first strike but the second strike caught him across the waist, the weapon slicing deep enough to almost cut him in half. However the klingon didn't get the chance to finish off the wounded Kurokuri before being killed by Maya. She then immediately rushed to her critically wounded brother.

The scattered Hurgh'Mas Marines proceeded to open up on their targets, drilling them with ordinance before they began to scatter during the attack as their weapons couldn't punch through the man's armor plating.

Michael Yamaguchi covered the advancing troopers as he took aim before he pulled the trigger, the armored being simply disintegrated where he stood then he took on the heavily armored troopers nearby, his weapon's fire simply glinted off of the armor. "Guys. I need an anti-tank weapon up here!" he called over the battle net.

Yamaguchi smiled as he snatched up the fallen CR-114, he quickly gave the weapon the once over before taking aim. "Lets see how you handle this... " and with that he pulled the trigger, disintegrating the armored Klingon warrior where he stood, he then quickly disposed of the other in much the same fashion. "Alright.. Lets kill these bastards!" Yamaguchi called loudly as he threw the dead weapon down on the deck then he drew his own weapon and he began opening up on the other Klingon warriors nearby.

Maya was too busy paying attention to he fallen brother to notice one Tekevek warrior attacking her from behind. The batleth first went through her forearm, cutting it off and then went into her side, stopping just short of her spine.

Tanvax raised his weapon to fire at the warrior but it failed to fire, indicating he was out of power. Dropping the weapon he then pulled out his combat knife and attacked the warrior, ramming his knife into the mans throat and preventing him from finishing off the Kurokuri.

The few combat capable Hurgh'Mas marines remaining began to finish off their attackers as they assisted in cleaning out the enemy forces in and around the room.

Once the last Tekevek warrior fell, Tekevek himself attempted to pull out a disruptor pistol, but in a showing of excellent marksmanship Suzuya shot off his hand along with the disruptor. Tanvax went to pick up his fallen weapon and pointed it at Tekevek's head. "Your not going anywhere you fat scumbag."

Tekevek raised his other hand in surrender while the other troopers began to clear the adjacent rooms. Fortunately no further Tekevek warriors where waiting in the adjacent rooms and Major Eryis got in contact with General Vellirun," Vellirun we have secured house leader Tekevek."

Vellirun's voice came over the comm," Well done, organized resistance across the city is broken, there are just a few pockets of resistance left. Other teams have disabled the Transporter Jammers and shutter shield."

Eryis nodded. "Alright, well we need extra medics and a few federation people as well."

Vellirun nodded. "They are on their way."

A minute or so later a dozen Starfleet medical and science personnel came through the door, escorted by four security officers, all of them very well armed with rifles and sidearms. Lieutenant Fardreamer went over to the dinner that the massively obese Klingon had been eating, he drew his tricorder before he scanned it. "Guys... This meal is Bolian flesh.... and from the content. whoever 'donated' this dinner died not long ago.."

Tekevek snorted. "Bah!. This was my dinner." before he picked it up.

Fardreamer smiled. "I wouldn't do that... if I were you... see him-" He indicated a large Klingon male pointing a sizeable rifle at Tekevek's head. "See.. He's going to shoot you and I going to let him... So please.. throw your dinner at me and be remembered as the Klingon who died of being a fatass."

"I will have my vengeance upon you."

"I think not." Fardreamer responded. "Your trial will be a spectacle to behold, as you spend the rest of your life rotting in a cage... being denied even the most ignoble death.."

Meanwhile Kisiko opened up the meat locker and instantly regretted it, but she managed. "Guys, you may want to take a look at this."

Eryis walked over and froze at the sight. It was a butchers shop. In the middle on the table was the remains of some poor Bolian woman whom had most of her skin removed and was thoroughly butchered. In the room where also the remains of other sentient species, including a ferasian, a Gorn, a romulan or vulcan and several unidentified species.

Fardreamer smiled. "Don't go anywhere fatso... I still want a piece of your ass." as he turned and went over to the large storeroom that did double duty as a butcher and slaughterhouse. "My god.." Fardreamer commented. "Wait...That Bolian.." he went over to what was left over her. "I've seen her before..." he narrowed his eyes. "This looks like Admiral Warfield.. except... No its close but not her.." as he reached for a large sheet which he then draped over what was left of her managed and battered body.

"Looks like the Klingons love of blood has reached new levels of insanity." Fardreamer began documenting this. "Ranav?"

"Yeah El Tee... I got this... My god the CSI's are gonna have a field day with this one..." as he began documenting everything. "You guys are all going to have to give me statements and I want a copy of all your tricorder data please... Commodore Talon Yamaguchi is going to shit a rock when she sees this case."

Fardreamer had only heard of the Commodore from others. "I don't know how I'd feel if Yulaan was among this lot..." he paused as he thought about his girlfriend he'd not seen in too long. "

Ranav nodded. "I thought that Bolian was..." he sighed softly.

"Your wife.." it was not a question. "I understand my friend... I do." Fardreamer responded. "You think Tekevek deserves to live?"

"No... but I can't kill him... As much as I can't allow him to live.."

"I will handle it." Fardreamer responded. "Grab everything from here... and then I'll deal with him."

"I have your back." the Bolian male responded.

Eryis was ready to lose her mind, She stomped over to Tekevek, grabbed him by the throat and being sure to show her teeth she Growled," Why, Why did you do this."

Tekevek gave a nasty grin. "Because I could, and if I had the option, you would be next.

Eryis dropped him in disgust however Tanvax decided huge had enough. Grabbing Tekevek by the neck he growled. "Your coming with me fatso."

Tanvax then dragged the man out the back doors and into the back courtyard while Eriys and Kisiko watched. He then spotted a large pit which had several of the reptilian wildlife locked inside and looking like they had been beaten before. However they also looked like highly predatory animals, so tanvax Demanded. "So what do you do with them?."

Tekevek coughed and sputtered. "They" he stopped as he tried to breathe past the massive fist that had almost engulfed his throat. "Take care of unruly slaves." he got out.

Tanvax nodded. "I See." Then he dragged an increasingly horrified Tekevek over to the pit, and then Holding him at the edge of the pit Tenvax growled, "So any last words."

Tekevek was actually scared enough to wet himself so he pleaded," No No NO, please, No.. please don't. Give me a fair trial I'll take the imprisonment, No not this."

Fardreamer smiled. "A fair trial?... Why?..." Fardreamer laughed, it was rich with delicious irony. "You denied that to your victims... Does it help to understand how we feel?... What you did to my friend!" he called. "You called her unruly. I called her friend and she was denied a decent life... So I will do it for her... Hey big guy... Mind holding him still for me, for a moment longer?"

Tanvax briefly held Tekevek there without saying a word.

Fardreamer drove his fist into Tekevek's face once. "That... was for my friend who you murdered and then ate.." he growled then he drove his fist into the man's massive gut. "Give my regards to hell..." he turned. "Thanks for that. He's all yours." he said to Tanvax.

Tanvax just gave him a cold stare, and without a word, he proceeded to let go of the fat Klingon, the massively obese Klingon screamed loudly as he fell into the pit.

Inside several bipedal animals all seemed to awake at the sound of prey, entering their domain, the largest rose to his paws which were armed with five toes and a rather wicked set of claws at the end of each toe. They also had two arms with evil looking claws which were close to a foot long, their faces were elongated with sets of sharp looking teeth which cross crossed over each other like a fish trap, to round out the picture, the bodies of these animals was covered on soft downy fur and had a rather long tail, all festooned in feathers.

The four of these animals all advanced on their prey before the first one leapt at the target but didn't quite get there. Tekevek screamed loudly as the second landed on him with the force of several hundred pounds. Tekevek screamed as multiple bones were broken and shattered, he felt and heard them break, each one sending massive ripples of agony through him while the animals within the pit began feeding on him, tearing chunks of flesh out of his body.

The three raptors began to feed on their prey while he was still alive, while they slashed and hacked away at him, yet the Klingon was still alive as they began to feed, he screamed and screamed as blood began to shower everywhere from the wounds, blood and other bodily fluids began to seep and stream from the exit wounds as the animals fed on him.

Tanvax simply walked away from the pit. He would come back later to free the animals, after they had their fill of Klingon meat.

The Hurgh'Mas marines now turned their attention to recovering their comrades and the like, tagging fallen Hurgh'MaS marines.

Meanwhile Suzuya, Kisiko, Yakila, and Bykal made another discovery. Opening up one of the dungeons they found several hundred children of a feline species they didn't recognize. They could tell these individuals where not Ferasians, obvious by the face that these little ones had two tails. All the Children initially shied away from the newcomers until Bykal pulled off his helmet, showing that he clearly wasn't klingon, "Well this is new."

A few of the children seemed somewhat less shy after Bykal removed his helmet so Suzuya, Kisiko and Yakial all did the same, removing their helmets as well. Kisiko then shouted to the main room. "Hey can we get a couple of federation people over here, we need you."

Ranav came over, being followed by Fardreamer, the two along with the other half dozen Federation personnel who responded. "Yeah.. whats up....wait.. what the heck?"

Bykal picked up one of the younger children, whom didn't try to resist him," Yeah, these little ones are a bit unusual, a twin tailed feline species."

Another child sniffed suzuya's hand curiously. "Yeah, they are unusual alright, I wonder if these little ones where modified by the klingons or if they are actually a different species."

Fardreamer shook his head. "I'm not sure if they were modified.." he commented. "Klingons in my experience generally don't seem to have the skills..." he paused. "But.. its possible I guess.."

Suzuya then started petting the curious child whom purred in response. "Well, either way, we will need to see to it they get out to good families regardless."

"Well stick me down for a couple of them." Fardreamer commented softly. "Besides... They look adorable... but their claws look a little... off." he shrugged. "Maybe I'm being paranoid. But thats an issue for another time."
