Chancellor B'Vat sighed as he listened to the loudmouthed droning of a Captain from some Defense force unit about a new threat to the Empire, his interest was perked by a name. Apparently this new species was called the Akurians and they were allied or maybe even members of the Federation.
B'Vat hated the Federation and their United Collection of Fools and liars. 'I will see the Federation Burn as I glass Earth, I will harvest the lamentations of their women as I enslave them and their children as I use them for a labor force.' B'Vat thought to himself.
General Makar was now building a dozen of the new Sword of Kahless class warships, one of which had already gone missing with Chancellor Martok, his retinue and most of the brotherhood of the sword aboard. Starfleet was also apparently investigating as the disappearance of the Entepray-E was also of concern. More to them then anyone else as B'Vat could honestly care less about the Enterprise or Worf
Meanwhile nearby. General Makar was considering recent events as he had a funny feeling that he was missing something with all the recent havoc that had happened around the Empire, with Martok going missing along with Captain Worf.
Captain Worf was a good man and Makar missed his comrade's friendship. Colonel Drex was also a good friend of his and the man had matured greatly under the tutelage of Worf himself.
Colonel Drex was also apparently in trouble as Makar had heard rumblings of discontent from the colony world of Halee. His reverie was interrupted by someone demanding the heads of these Akurians on spikes outside the Great Hall as a symbol for all to see.
Many others muttered loud demands for action from B'Vat as he responded with calling on the defense force to prepare for war.
Makar meanwhile received a coded call. "Chancellor. I must depart to attend to a matter of my house,. May I depart?"
"Yes. By all means go." as B'Vat waved in the general direction of the door. Makar departed quickly before emerging outside, he called for a beam up to the orbital Starbase where his house was based.
He emerged from the transporter pad a moment later, he walked out the door and moments later he was in his office. He tapped the display before him as an image of his mate appeared before him. "Kora." He addressed his mate by name. "What is happening?" he inquired of her, knowing fully well that she would not call unless it was important.
Kora explained simply that House Martok had made a request of House Makar for military aid in dealing with several attempts of piracy and banditry. "They say they have fallen under the shadow of a rival house, they do not know who.."
Makar owed House Martok a debt of honor. "Very well. Assemble our fleets and forces... We will come to House Martoks aid."
"Very well.. Will you be returning to led the fleet in battle?" he mate inquired.
"No.. I am unable to leave Kronos at this time." His answer was almost instant. "I am afraid that I must call upon you to do it." Makar sighed. "I am sorry.. I do not ask this lightly of you, my mate but.. You are a capable General in your own right and I have witnessed your skills on many a battlefield. I have no doubt you will succeed... Remember that my bridge crew of my flagship will make excellent advisors for you."
Kora blinked, she had little experience in the practical side of warfare but she had a great deal of experience planning and preparing. "I will led well.. or I will not return."
"I understand.. Qua'lpa my wife... Bring honor to our house and destruction to your foes... I have faith in you... You will be victorious." and with that he severed the connection, before turning his attention back to the various other matters that demanded his attention.
