Mission:
Mission 62: Its Hour Come 'Round
Location: Various Locations - USS Bonhomme Richard
Timeline: 0800 - January 26th, 2392
Captain Jonathan Holliday was seated in the Executive Officer's Chief as he kept his silence. Division Admiral James Bremer who was better known as K'Temoc Bremer as he demanded and expected everyone to address him by the Klingon name he had created for himself.
"Status Captain?" K'Temoc Bremer inquired.
"We will be arriving exactly on time sir... The Roanoke and her battlegroup are expecting us." Holiday responded.
"Excellent. I don't like wasting my time." Bremer responded evenly.
Holiday chose to ignore that comment and instead focused on his own troubles, that his command had been taken out from under his feet by this pompous fool of an Admiral who had an overblown sense of his importance, however he kept all of this to himself. "Hail-" he stopped himself as he looked at Bremer for permission otherwise the mutt would have a fit.
Holiday knew that the nerves of of the personel on their escorting battlecrusier had to be just as wound tight as his own, he took a moment to regard the combadge emblem on the display before him which was marked as 'USS Relentless - BCH-008'. He had known Kira Antilles for many years and she was no slouch in the warfare department for which something Holiday apprecated.
"Oh. Hail the Roanoke please?" Bremer commented as he rose to his feet, sending a clear message as to who was in charge here.
"Hailing them now." Lieutenant Jake O'Brien responded, handling communications as he carefully did not look at Bremer. "I have them for you."
"On screen." Bremer responded with an air of finality.
Teval was in the middle of brushing his fur with hakaya when Rykar informed him of the hail. Teval sighed, "Fine put them through." Teval barely even payed attention to the viewscreen as he answered," This is Roanoke."
"Captain Vakaar....?" Bremer inquired, as he mangled the name. "Are you prepared to receive me!?"
Teval replied rather bluntly," I want even informed that you where coming, let alone I have no idea why you are here, given that our current mission does not require your presence."
Holiday smiled in amusement but opted not to say anything. "You are disrespectful. No wonder you got command of that flying crash can." Bremer responded evenly. "I am here because I require your pilots for another mission... there are no other carriers available and you and your escort carrier will serve my needs well enough." Bremer explained bluntly. "I will arrive shortly. Prepare to receive me!"
Teval's response was very simple," OK." he then closed the channel, then contacted Lasky," Hey tom heads up, some guy named Bremer is coming onboard, this one is an admiral."
Lasky's response was simple. "Fuck.... Michael Bremer is a fuckstick. He'll try and intimidate you.... Wait... did he give his name?"
Teval shrugged," Not a first name, I just know he is a Bremer."
Lasky paused. "Okay... Where are we meeting this.... guy?" he inquired. "I'm on my way down."
Meanwhile Bremer turned to Holiday. "Captain, you have the bridge." and with that he turned and departed, leaving Jonathan Holiday to seethe quietly at having his command usurped from him.
Bremer was beamed to transporter room two on USS Roanoke and as he half expected and half anticipated, nobody was on hand to greet him. "Thank you Ensign." and with that, he stepped forward, off of the padd and out the door.
"Excuse me... Where would I find Captain Va'kaar'?"
The Caitian female regarded Bremer before she answered. "I would assume he was on the bridge.."
"Thank you." and with that he started down the hallway again, he was intercepted by Teval moments later. "Captain." Bremer addressed Teval in greeting as he handed him a PADD. "My orders.... since you didn't get it."
Zara groaned inwardly as she recognized those features, but she said nothing.
Teval looked over the padd momentarily then gave it back to Bremer," Take it up with the CAG, starfleet personnel no longer have authority over fighter corps assignments."
"Excuse me!" Bremer responded. "I was told I would have complete cooperation from you people... What do you mean you have No control over anything!"
Teval gave Bremer a very nasty look. "Well apparently you are incredibly uninformed and or living under a rock these days. Fighter pilots and their support personnel are now their own branch, and as such, starfleet does not decide fighter corps assignments, only fighter corps people do. The only pilots starfleet still has control over is shuttle pilots and ship drivers, and you are not getting any of them, because I need them all to keep supplies going to keep a colony from freezing to death."
"How dare you speak to me like this!" Bremer responded loudly.
Teval crossed his arms, replying. "I'm Akurian, get used to it."
"I will have you clapped in irons... You just ended your career." Bremer roared.
Teval shook his head, saying," No you wont." Then using his AI he commanded the ships computer to beam Bremer off the ship and back to his own. He then went back to his ready room, running into Lasky on the way. "Well admiral Douchebag is taken care of."
Lasky raised an eyebrow. "Which Bremer is it?"
"Didn't care enough to get his first name," Teval answered, annoyed.
"Lovely.." Lasky sighed. "Either Michael or K'Temoc." he growled. "Either one is a major fucking pest.." Lasky sighed softly. "Either way.. they will make trouble for us.. even though we've done nothing wrong."
"I could order a black op," Zara suggested quietly. "No one need know."
"No.." Lasky responded. "And stop thinking like a criminal.. Think of the children.." he added.
Teval commented flatly," No need to bother anyway, this bremer is like the others, he will die in some stupid and indignant manner soon enough and we wont have to deal with him anymore, just like all the other bremers."
"What do we want to do with him then?" Zara spoke more seriously.
Lasky narrowed his eyes. "We focus on our mission. Bremer can't have what he wants from us... We were not told he was coming and all our people are tied down.." he then shrugged.
Teval gave his answer. "Honestly, we don't need to do anything, our orders come directly from the federation council, and I just looked up his orders, and they come from someone way lower. There is nothing he can do to overrule our mission, he is toothless."
"Lovely." Lasky responded evenly. "Alright. Anything else we need to worry about?"
"Nope," Teval replied," I'm going to finish brushing my fur."
"Alright. I'll handle things out here then." Lasky responded before he went onto the bridge.
