Mission: Mission 54: Where Snow Meets Sky
Location: B Kayor system
Timeline: Dec. 9th 2391

After nearly six hours the storm system finally began to subside. Kasana poked her head out of the cave, noticing that the sun was near the horizon. Checking the time, she knew they had four or five more hours before complete sunset. Arumi stretched and walked outside, commenting, "finally, my bladder is about to explode."

Not caring that the federation people where near by, Arumi went and relieved herself a short distance away from the cave entrance. Ryuukei meanwhile, looked up at the sky, noticing that the Gas giant was poking its way through the clouds.

Sims stepped outside and quietly slipped off to the side to relieve himself as the others did likewise, the Andorian moved farther so she had some privacy.

The Bajoran male was asleep as the Andorian woman finished with her business then she came and woke him up with a gentle kiss. "Wake up Emissary."

The Bajoran blinked his eyes open. "Mmmm.... Has the storm ended?"

"Yes dear." she responded before she took his hands and helped him to his feet. "Come on... lets go outside."

"What about... him?" he indicated the skeleton. "Should we just leave him here like that?"

"I don't know.... I have no idea of human funeral customs." the Andorian said as she led him out of the cave to be greeted by the impressive sight of the Gas Giant rising over the horizon.

"Wow..." Sims commented. "Now.. THAT is why I joined starfleet."

A rather large beetle buzzed right by Kasana and ran straight into Sims. The confused insect had hit sims head on, causing it to fall to the ground and land on its back.

Zh'Terris laughed as Sims screamed loudly before he turned and took off as fast as his legs could carry him, still screaming and waving his hands and arms everywhere. "Ohgod. Ohgod. Ohgod!"

The Bajoran sighed. "Unbelievable. You.. have got to be kidding me!"

Kasana shook her head in disbelieve, but before she could say anything else, she caught a strange scent in the air. Tetta walked over to Kasana, asking," What is it."

Kasana continued to sniff the air," Smell that."

Tetta also sniffed the air," Yeah, I do, smells like a goat."

Kasana scanned the area, and walked off some distance and sure enough, not 400 meters from the cave entrance, she spotted a small group of goats. "well, they aren't supposed to be here."

Kasana pulled up her comm headset and called it in," Ryazar's shield this is Kasana, we have found some earth goats on the system."

Bihkami was the one whom answered," O.K., got it, you aren't the only ones to make this discovery, two other teams have found evidence of earth life on this planet. They have also found evidence that smugglers and or squatters have been on this planet before, though no human life is present right now."

Kasana acknowledged then added," Well, I think we are going to have to have some of our ships and drones conduct a low and slow scan of the surface, see just how much this planets biosphere has been contaminated."

Bihkami nodded and answered," On it, drones are on their way for a flyover. Also in a few more hours four additional Akurian ships will be showing up with additional survey teams and equipment."

Meanwhile on the Ryazar's Shield's bridge. Talon Yamaguchi watched the information on the monitor before her in silence and rapt fascination. "This is turning into an interesting world.... minus the goats." she paused,. "how did goats get here anyway?" she inquired.

"It looks like either smugglers or someone else has been making a temporary home out of this planet," Bihkami answered," But we are going to have to do more investigating to find out for sure."

Talon smiled. "Lovely." she responded. "Sounds great." as she stretched, to work a kink out out of her right arm. "Ahhh..." she sighed happily. "I get to sit around, pet the adorables... generally do nothing... swim in the pool when I want... Yeah... this is the best assignment ever."

Meanwhile down on the planet. Lieutenant Raymond Sims peered at the Goats. "What... are we the men who stare at goats?"

"Awww... I think your in love." the Andorian said in a snide tone.

"Whatever..." Sims dismissed her with a backwards wave of his hand. "Idiot Andorian.."

Zh'Terris sighed. "Think fast.!" as she hurled a snowball at nobody in particular except it ended up taking wing and impacting itself into the face of Raymond Sims.

"BAH!!!" he screamed. "What the hell are you DOING!"

Zh'Terris shook her head. "Unbelievable.." she looked down. "You've got something on your leg.."

Sims looked down and promptly screamed.

The Bajoran sighed. "Can I please kill him?" he sounded almost eager.

Meanwhile Talon's voice came over the com system. "Raymond... RAYMOND!" Talon said, then she growled then she screamed his name. "Silence.... Thank you... you're worse then my children.." there was a pregnant pause. "Maybe we should leave you there .....for a few days... sounds like you need to get out more."

Kasana smiled a little. "Um Talon, you do know that the days on this planet are 92 hours long right."

Talon slowly smiled. "Oh really?" Talon inquired. "Oh right... I forgot about that.." she closed her eyes a she seemed to settle off to sleep but in actuality she was thinking about it. "Ahh... leave him there for a week... by the planets standards of course."

Sims quivered. "You can't do this to me!"

"Okay.... and why not?" came the disembodied voice of Talon Yamaguchi. "You'll find that... I can do more or less whatever I like."

Clearly the skipper was enjoying herself or so Zh'Terris thought. "She's cruel."

Lirvinx, whom was up on the bridge, added. "Um well we are planning on setting up a permanent cap there probably starting within 12 hours, do you want him to be at camp or have him left out in the middle of nowhere."

Sims sighed dramatically. "You can't leave me out here like this.. Its immoral!"

"No. Keep him at your base camp." Talon's disembodied voice came back. "Put him to work and make him useful in charting this planet, I want to know everything I can get my hands out about this little ball in space..."

Kasana nodded and replied," Alright well I'm not sure where our basecamp will be set up yet. Most of us will be fine when it gets dark, though I am not sure about him."

Ryuukei looked up at the Gas giant hovering in the sky, adding," Well it wont be completely dark, not with the amount of light that that planet reflects, we are on the planet side of this moon."

Kasana nodded. "Yeah, it will be just like home on Osa, it never did get completely dark there where we lived."

Ryuukei looked up at the dozen or so other moons he could see in the sky, saying," yeah and those will help keep the light levels O.K. too."

"Sounds good." Talon responded. "Sounds romantic... I can go for a moonlit swim... Raymond, you'll be charting the ground.. Do not disappoint me!"

The Andorian Shen chuckled softly as Sims swallowed nervously.
