Mission:
Mission 49: The Stars Look Down
Location: Various Locations - USS Spirit of Winter
Timeline: 1045Hrs November 9th 2391
Autumn Yamaguchi sighed softly as she regarded the PADD before her. "Unbelievable.." she then slapped it back down on the desk, face up as she fumed, one could almost see the smoke coming out of her ears. "You waited two years .... for this..!"
"So... Would you like to explain to me, your service with the Klingons?" Lieutenant Heather Fletcher inquired, a rather nasty smirk on her face. "Its not like you were fucking them... right?"
"I served with the Klingon for a year. I have not gone... native.." Yamaguchi responded a trifle hotly.
"Well lets see.." Doctor Fletcher intoned as she lifted a PADD that had been sitting before her. "Two requests for... I'm sorry Mock ta'what." she paused, while she managed to badly mangle the Klingon wording.
Yamaguchi desperately wanted to pick up something large and heavy and hit this ignorant woman with it. "Mauk'to'vor. It means ritual suicide." she sighed as she thought 'imbecile!'
"Ahh.... Says here that you granted two... requests for ritual suicide during your time with the Klingons." she gave the other woman a rather pointed look.
"Yes I did." Yamaguchi responded bluntly.
"You violated your medical oath.... to do no harm." Fletcher wanted to bash Autumn Yamaguchi with the scripture of the law of Hippocrates. "You dare call yourself a Doctor!."
Autumn Yamaguchi narrowed her eyes. "You were not there, you did not endure what we had to deal with... the patient could not serve with honor, he had been crippled with the loss of all but one limb... He had been reduced to existence which... to a Klingon... is an affront to everything they stand for... so he begged me with his last energy.... to help him along the path to Sto'Vo'Kor."
The Federation doctor looked at the smaller woman with shock. "You have indeed gone native, I'm gonna have your license and your ass for this.."
"Oh put a sock in it already will ya?" Autumn responded in a dry tone. "Klingons do things differently. If one of their warriors is too injured to continue to serve... then he has the option to die a warriors death... On both cases... they had the option and both requested that I grant them their last requests, I consented to it... "
"I should have you relieved of duty." Fletcher was now getting downright angry.
"Oh please do..." Yamaguchi responded, a smile playing at her lips, knowing full well that she was pissing the other woman off.
"I think you're enjoying yourself .... aren't you?" Fletcher growled.
"Why should I not?" Yamaguchi responded with a smile. "You have already decided what to file for your formal report long before I was summoned away from my studies to explain myself to you." she regarded the other woman. "How dare you sit in judgement over me... when you've had less experience in the medical world then I have..." Yamaguchi added in a derisive tone.
"Yeah... I read that an Lieutenant Ajal is on assignment on the Spirit of Winter as an Engineer... as part of an.... officer exchange... program..." Fletcher commented while reading from the PADD in obvious distaste.
"You dislike Klingons... Don't you?" Yamaguchi responded. "Oh. Don't bother to deny it.. I can read you like a book..."
"I refuse to answer-"
"Of course you won't... because I'm right.. and you know I'm right and I know that you know that I'm right... so shall we dispense with the bullshit and cut right to it..." Yamaguchi responded. "My assignment paperwork from my time on the IKS Hurgh'maS is a matter of record and I was quite diligent in my paperwork. I handled two tours of duty... So... Unless you can provide evidence of real malpractice.. I think this interview is over."
"I think not."
Yamaguchi stood up as she slid her chair back. "Oh. I think it is... Because all my ducks are in a row and I double checked everything... Besides... You're two years late. So... either you can provide me with the paperwork that says I did wrongdoing in the eyes of the Klingons... or... I'm outta here.... and I'd recommend not bothering my commanding officer with all of this... he'll throw it out."
"Tell him to expect me."
"Tell him yourself. I can waste no more time on you." and with that Yamaguchi walked out the door. Her thoughts drifting back to her time on the Klingon vessel as a member of her crew, it was her experiences and what she brought with her that led both Commander Nog't and Lieutenant Ajal to follow her into the Federation when her time was done.
