Mission: Mission 42: A House Divided
Location: Various Locations - USS Roanoke
Timeline: 0900Hrs - October 1st 2391

Teval walked into the CAG office wanting to check on Wukari," Hey Wukari, how are you doing so far."

Wukari set down her PADD, replying," Well, I've got major stomach cramps, but I am otherwise O.K."

Teval then remembered Wukari was pregnant, "Oh, Yeah right, How is that coming along."

"Should be any time, hey Zarloos." Wukari noticed Zarloos walking in.

Zarloos came over to Wukari as he gently ran his fingers through the soft fur on the top of her head. "Hey... hows things?" he inquired. "Morning Teval.."

Teval nodded his head, while Wukari just pulled Zarloos onto her lap, rubbed his ears, and then nuzzled him, "Well Zarloos, you exited, your about to be a daddy soon."

"I am yeah." Zarloos responded as he gently coiled an arm around Wukari's shoulders as he gently held her close to him. "When is the big day?"

Wukari shrugged, then asked," What is today, again."

Teval replied with the date, when Wukari then replied," Oh." and before she could say anything else, she felt a major contraction, caused when Zarloos shifted his weight. Letting off a grunt, she replied. "Well, it was supposed to be tomorrow, But I think you might have encouraged them to move a little early."

Zarloos blinked. "You okay?" he inquired.

Wukari winced as she felt another one. "Just got a contraction, probably caused by when I pulled you into my lap."

"Ahh.." he paused. "So... head down to sickbay then?" Zarloos inquired.

Wukari nodded. "Yeah, probably a good idea."

"Alright... come on." as he gently took her by the paw and out the door they went. "We should finish moving in together..." Zarloos added.

Teval decided to stay with then for the time being until the got to sickbay, then he left to go back to the bridge, while Wukari found Sokanon, Gailiaan, and Windspirit.

Sokanon was sitting on a biobed, wearing her full uniform as she was busy checking her large medkit, making sure that she had it fully stocked.

Galiaan was standing near a wall monitor as she was checking a few things. "Oh hey..." she turned to regard Wukari and Zarloos. "You two alright?"

Zarloos regarded Wukari, indicating she should explain.

Wukari half nodded, half shook her head. "Well, I think the little ones are ready to come out, like now."

Sokanon hopped off of the bed. "Alright... well lets have a look then... and see how the little ones are doing." the Caitian responded. "Right this way."

Wukari just nodded and followed Sokanon, having to put up with two more contractions on the way.

Ten minutes or so. Sokanon was finally checking the systems to make sure Wukari could deliver her babies safely. "Lets see.." as she did a quick examination with her tricorder. "You're coming along nicely."

Zarloos stood next to Wukari as the Operation continued to its logical conclusion as the first baby was delivered then the second one came moments later.

Sokanon gently wrapped them up in a small towel each to keep them warm before handing them off to their mother. "They are in excellent health."

"Do you have names?" Sokanon inquired.

"Sharra for the girl." Zarloos responded as he was going to leave the other one for Wukari to name.

"I'll go with Kuzio for the male," Wukari added out of breathe.

Teval walked in shortly after asking," So you doing O.K. Wukari."

Wukari nodded, feeling exhausted," Well, I'm a little exhausted but otherwise alright."

Zarloos gently took both children off of Wukari, he had intended to give Wukari a moment to herself. "Lets see.."

Teval looked at Wukari's newborns, commenting, Wow they are just as tiny as kurokuri newborns, I take it you will probably recover about as fast as a kurokuri then."

"Eh, I think all ill need is a nice nap then I'll be good."

Teval looked back at Wukari. "Well Shiar don't take 50 years to reach adult hood do they."

Wukari shook her head. "No actually our species grows up quite fast, they will be adult sized by about 12."

"They will be full mature adults by age fourteen" Zarloos responded.

Teval nodded," Well either way, you both are on leave for a while. zarloos you got a little more than a month, Wukari, you got three, so, make use of the time however you see fit. Also if you do need to send them to daycare when they are old enough, we got one on the Akurian battlecruiser, and us Akurians know how to handle furry children."

Zarloos nodded his furry head. "Alright.." he responded. "The Shi'iar tend to have a few customs which might be a little odd.... the women generally raise the children while the men... don't."

Teval shrugged," Well, its just standard procedure. Besides its not like Ronaoke is going anywhere anyway."
