Mission:
Mission 98: Building Our New Home
Location: Yamaguchi Quarters - USS Coral Sea
Timeline: 1900Hrs - June 22nd, 2393
Autumn Yamaguchi was tired, raising three infants was a major drain on her energy and while one of those three was her own biologically, she also helped her spouse with her two, she padded into the main living area before she slid her small frame into one of the three sofa's present. She sighed as she smiled at Noq't. "Thanks again for looking after these guys for us. I think Ajal should be home soon."
"Of course Autumn. You shouldn't have to ask me." Noq't answered with a smile.
"I do wonder." Autumn was wearing a pair of shorts and a tank top rather than her uniform, as she was always the type who prefered the minimalist approach to clothing, its part of what drew Ajal to her in the first place. "Do you see yourself as their babysitter... or as their father?"
"You and Ajal are their parents, I'm the donor," Noq't explained.
Autumn regarded Noq't with a gentle smile. "Noq't. You really are doing yourself a disservice. You are their father, that means you are entitled to be their dad, let them see you as such, it also means you get to help us raise them as you see fit." Yamaguchi slowly smiled. "Your line will continue with these three children and they have the right to know you, same as you have the right to know them," she explained evenly. However, the small female had a feeling that there was more going on then what he was telling her directly so it was time to toss on her counseling hat. "Tell me something... Do you ever feel you have to atone?"
"No.. I have my beliefs and standards. I stand by them," Noq't answered.
"I know, commendable as they are. But if Ajal and I just wanted a male seed donor, there are several hundred men on this ship, we could have made a few discrete inquiries and we'd have had two dozen men for her and another two dozen for me." Yamaguchi smiled. "Not that having a few hundred men lusting for me isn't appealing in its own, primal way... But Ajal and I talked about it and we both wanted someone we knew, someone who helped us... You were the only real choice." the small female explained.
"I am flattered Autumn, I really am." Noq't started. "But you came to me because you wanted a known quality in a seed donor."
"I did." the small human female answered quietly. She regarded him with her deep brown eyes. "But I also felt you had the right to have your line continue, besides Ajal had been lusting over you for years. I find it romantic."
"I am not sure why she sees me as an acceptable bedmate, I am much older then she is and I am not interested in the rough sex the younger generation seems to crave," Noq't answered.
Yamaguchi proceeded to lift her arms over her head as she stretched. "Uhh.." she moaned softly. "It's been a long day... and I know you are tired too." the small human explained. "But Ajal is not the average Klingon, she is married to me, a woman two thirds her size. She likes gentle sex, not the average rough sex." the small female explained. "Besides, do you see me as being anything overly special.?"
"On the face of it, no," Noq't answered. "But you understand the Klingon mindset and our culture. You have so many references in your home."
"I do," Yamaguchi commented. "I found something when I was among your people that I could never have while I was here in the Federation," Yamaguchi explained. "R'Merah ruined it for me with what he did. I still am not sure of how to process what happened to him."
"What's done is done, Autumn, there is no sense on dwelling on what happened. If you can't see what's in front of you, then you'll be banging your limbs off of solid objects because you are always looking behind you." Noq't answered as the door to their quarters opened and in walked the Klingon female who was a part of this odd group. "Hey, guys. I'm sorry I'm late... I swear, the guys who put this ship together must have been drunk." Ajal Yamaguchi was still wearing her uniform as she had clearly been working very late tonight.
"What happened this time?" Autumn inquired of her wife.
"Same as the last time. Engine failures." Ajal answered. "I have a feeling I know what the issue is... But if I'm right then we're going to be replacing half the power transfer conduits on this ship, all in one go." the Klingon female let out a soft growl. "I have some of the guys looking at the metallicity of the conduits themselves and if I'm right.. then the issue is the safeties being too sensitive... or the conduits themselves need replacing." the Klingon female sighed as she sat down next to Noq't "So, other than my usual problems, what are you two discussing.?" the Klingon female regarded Noq't as she spoke.
"Parenthood," Autumn answered. "The pleasures and perils of such," she added a moment later.
Noq't regarded the younger Klingon female next to him, while she was regarding him with a really lusty smile. "You are their parents. I am just the seed donor, Autumn has been trying to convince me otherwise."
Ajal smiled as she regarded Noq't. "If Autumn and I didn't want you involved, we would not have come over here when you were offered the executive officer posting, we came here so you would know these children, do not forget that one of them bears your name."
"I know," Noq't responded quietly. "Ajal, what do you wish from me?"
"I wish for you to be their father, they have the right and so do you," Ajal responded in a gentle tone of voice, she knew that Noq't was not the average Klingon and pushing on him will cause him to retreat rather than stand his ground. "They are your children as much as they are ours if you are worried about what others think. Don't." the Klingon female explained. "Autumn and I were both pregnant at the same time with your children when we made the choice to leave the Spirit of Winter."
Autumn chose that point to re-enter the chat. "We both knew what we were getting ourselves into when we both chose to become pregnant at the same time, rather than one at a time." the small female explained, a smile on her lips. "I won't say it hasn't been a pain but it's been rewarding. I have a child of my own and I may want more," she explained. "I've not yet decided."
Ajal knew this of course. She nodded her head in agreement. "I might want more too."
"Wait." Noq't paused. "You two have three already and you both want more children, can you even keep up with the three you have?" the older Klingon inquired.
"Yeah, we can," Autumn answered evenly. "The kids have their father around, which means we have three adults in this little saga and maybe more down the road." she then smiled before she got up, she went over before she gently kissed Noq't on the lips. "Don't worry about the kids, they are yours as much as they are ours, you have the right to help us raise them as you deem fit."
"Alright Autumn." Noq't paused a moment. "Where are the kids now?"
"They are all asleep at the present time. Which is a blessing.." the small human female sighed as the air was rent with the cries of a needy infant. "Sounds like Kaasin needing her diaper changed."
"I will take care of it," Noq't stated before he rose to his feet. "You wanted me involved, now is a good time to start."
Ajal smiled but she said nothing as Autumn nodded her head. "The supplies are-"
"You told me several times already." Noq't chided her in a gentle tone of voice. "I will see to them, you two take it easy."
Ajal rose to her own feet as she watched Noq't move away, so he could attend to his daughter. "I need a shower. I stink."
"Okay, I'll get dinner started," Autumn answered with a smile and with that, Ajal moved into the master bedroom, leaving Autumn alone.
