Rescuing Old Friends

Mission: Mission 31: The Ashes of Eden
Location: Various Locations - USS Roanoke
Timeline: 0900Hrs - March 30th, 2391

"So that's where Teval ended up, that ship looks in bad shape," Kurso Teska commented mildly as his runabout approached.

Carl Mason didn't give an immediate response, he just simply guided the runabout close to the ship, then he hailed the ship, with Kurso making sure to stay out of view, saying," this is Lieutenant Mason of the runabout Styx, my runabout flight has a batch of supplies that was requested for your upcoming mission."

Commander Yamaguchi was sitting in the command chair, she looked bored and happy, she was also tired as having a pair of children in the house was exhausting and she wasn't as young as she used to be.

The officer assigned to Operations turned. "Sir. we're getting a request to dock from a Runabout. They say they have some supplies aboard for us."

"Alright.." Yamaguchi responded. "Let 'em land."

The Officer turned back to his panel as he proceeded to do just that.

As he got the response, Mason guided the runabout slowly into the Roanoke's hangar bay, with the other two runabouts in the flight following. As they landed Kurso Teska discreetly scanned the ship, looking for Teval and Hakaya, and upon locating them, he proceeded to hit the comm channel, hailing Teval. "Commander Teval, this is kurso, can you meet me in your quarters."

Teval had a moment of surprise, interrupting his conversation with Rachael.

Rachael raised an eyebrow as she mentally skidded to a halt. "Mmm.." she slowly smiled. "I'd best let you go tend to that..." she commented. "I'd best go see that Saki is where I left her.." she added.

Teval nodded, and grabbing Hakaya, he went to his quarters to deal with the matter. Meanwhile, Kurso contacted Varkon and requested for him to come as well, then using the runabouts, specially modified transporters, beamed directly to Teval and Hakaya's quarters.

Minutes later Teval and Hakaya made it to their quarters, with Varkon coming in shortly after, then Teval asked, " Well, of all people, I never expected you to come here, whats the matter, budget cuts up there at starfleet intel cost you your subspace communicator."

Kurso Teska shook his head with a slight grin," Nah, I'm just not allowed to use it, I prank call too many people."

Teval had a slight chuckle, then immediately took a more serious face, saying, " So if you are here personally, the issue must be serious."

Kurso nodded with a sour look," It is, so I'll cut straight to the point, Seykai's been captured, by a cardassian obsidian order cell."

Teval visibly looked surprised, saying," What happened."

Kurso sighed, then explained," Well, I had him doing signal's analyst work, you know, the usual stuff that he is good at, and yes, he was safely on our side of the DMZ, when the listening post he was on got raided, by what appeared to be a band of romulan pirates, however, I know for a fact that they where specifically after him, or rather, the AI that he possesses."

Teval simply stared at the ceiling," an AI which is incredibly advanced, I know."

Kurso nodded, then added," Yeah, but here is what you don't know, The AI, in addition to being incredibly advanced, still has the last known location of the Akurian Battlecruiser Defiant Spirit recorded."

Teval looked like he was about to have a stroke, relying softly," Oh Fuck." He knew exactly what that meant. The Akurian warship was far more advanced than anything the federation possessed, currently he knew that the ship was crash landed on a rouge planet in the middle of nowhere, mostly buried, and very well hidden, but pretty much intact. Though neither Teval, nor Hakaya had any memory of their past life before then, they knew that the technology that the ship possessed was far too advanced for anyone here to handle, and as a result, the location of that ship was a closely guarded secret between the four of them.

Varkon was the one whom broke the silence," So, where is Seykai now."

Kurso sighed, then said," On a modified Galor class heading out of Romulan space, going back to Cardassia, If we leave here soon, we can catch them within 12 hours, all goes well, you should be back on the Roanoke in less than two days."

Teval nodded," O.K. I'm in." He then looked at Hakaya, whom said," Count me in, I'm ready."

Varkon also nodded," Saying, I'll stick with you guys."

Kurso smiled," That's great, well, the runabout leaves in an hour."

Teval nodded, as Kurso tapped his combadge, saying," Ok. Mason, beam me back when you are ready."

Teval didnt say anything as Kurso disappeared into the transporter beam, and he promptly left his quarters to go talk to Torilla.

Teval walked onto the bridge, looking for Torilla. As soon as he found her, he mentioned," Hey Torilla, Hakaya and I need to leave the ship for two days, is that good with you."

Commander Yamaguchi regarded Teval. "Sure.. Take as long as you need. We're heading to Tarod Nine... if you wanted to meet us there.. you could." the taller woman responded.

Teval nodded, and promptly left the bridge, not bothering to explain himself.

Within the hour he boarded the runabout, having made arrangements for Aerin and Karryn to take care of the kids for a couple of days. Upon seeing mason, he commented, "oh hey Carl, haven't seen you in a long time."

As he sat at the controls, Carl looked at Teval, saying," Hey Teval, yeah, I wont be the only one joining in this trip, we got the whole team together for this one."

Teval nodded, then looked to Kurso saying," Well, I hate to point this out, but we are dealing with the obsidian order, how do you intend to deal with this one."

Kurso simply smiled as the runabout took off, saying," Oh you will see."

Shortly after the runabout flight took off and went to warp, mason took the runabout off course, and headed in a different direction, activating the runabouts slipstream drive, and within 10 minutes, arrived at their destination. Teval looked on sensors and saw nothing, prompting him to say," OK. Kurso, stop pulling my leg, what you got going on."

Kurso simply pointed in front of them," That's whats going on."

Teval looked forward as a Romulan Valdore class warbird decloaked in front of them, causing Teval to say," And how the hell did you manage to get ahold of that."

Kurso looked at Teval, smiling," Oh I have my ways, by the way, meet the romulan warbird T'kara."
