Siaxx was angry and the look on her lovely face was showing, her skin tone had deepened from a shade of medium blue to azure and she wanted to tear the object of her lusts desires a new one. "Jill... what in hell were you thinking.... you know Nalla will never let you out of sickbay again... and this is precisely why I turned over your medical care to her... because I would pick your side.."
"You aint pickin' it now, so it aint a problem. Is it?" Phoenix retorted spitefully before she laid in her bed and put the covers over her head.
"You damm near fucked up your hand and yourself in the process..." she responded. "What the fuck Jill... have you lost your godammed mind.... I said to Nalla that I'd look after you... now I'm a joke.."
"I don' see Furban yellin' at ya, so no. You aint a joke," Phoenix sighed. She wanted to cry. To be alone. To wallow in self-pity.
Siaxx sighed angrily as she turned away. Taking a moment to calm herself. "You picked the fight then punched the forcefield." the Bolian reminded the taller woman. "I had little choice but to sedate you."
"For good reason," Phoenix countered bitterly from under the covers. "She was arrestin' ya for stupid shit an' she don' know how ta take care of prisoners."
"I was more worried about you then I was about a beat cop in civilian clothing." Siaxx responded.
"It's over now. It don' matter," Phoenix assured her love. "She'll be gone soon. Tane'll see to it."
"Too much to hope for.." Siaxx responded. "She's like a parasite....the only way to get rid of her will be to squish her like a bug."
"If you want me to kill her, just say so," Phoenix noted irritably.
"Its a thought." Siaxx admitted. "In the meantime... I want you to relax and calm down.."
"I'm the worst person ta been chosen ta carry these things," Phoenix sighed and buries her teary eyes in her pillow. "I didn' mean ta put 'em at risk. But I did."
"But you didn't miscarry them... thats something at least.."
"I'm a bad mother Siaxx," Phoenix sobbed. "An' ya still wanna marry me?"
"You didn't get a chance to become pregnant." Siaxx commented. "Had you had the chance to have the children that you wanted... it would have been different.... but Jill... just keep in mind that what you did was an act of kindness for Torilla..."
There was no comfort in that statement. Phoenix only cried more. She did not know how to cope with this new burden. And it made the pain and fear amplify, knowing what she nearly did in the brig.
Siaxx gently sat down at Phoenix's bedside. she didn't say anything as she closed her eyes.
"I can' do this," Phoenix cried out. "It hurts too much."
Siaxx's eyes snapped open as she reached for her medkit, fully expecting to find that her body had indeed miscarried. "Easy Phoenix... I'm right here.." and with that she produced her tricorder to start her latest round of medical checks.
"What'll Torilla say when she hears 'bout this?" Phoenix cried out. "I just wanted ta hurt that girl. I forgot 'bout being knocked up."
Siaxx paused as she made a decision. "Leave her to me...." she explained. "I will explain the situation to her... and make her see..."
"I really want these things outta me," Phoenix cried and gripped her covers so hard her real hand's knuckles turned white.
"I know..." Siaxx sighed. "Jill... take a deep breathe... and calm down..." she sighed. "Its gonna be alright.."
"Fucksakes," Phoenix sighed in frustration as she turned to face Siaxx. "My back is killin' me."
"Your system is still processing the fact that you're pregnant..." Siaxx explained softly as she gently touched Phoenix's back before she gently began to massage the other womans back.
"I'm sorry I tried ta pick a fight with her," Phoenix spoke after several minutes of being massaged. "I dunno why she made me so angry."
"Who knows..." Siaxx responded in hat she hopped was a soothing tone. "Don't think about her..."
"Stay with me tonight?" Phoenix asked sheepishly, after she finished crying.
"I would not be anywhere else.... I don't sleep well alone..." Siaxx commented with a smile. "We'll make this work..."
"Thank you," Phoenix sniffed.
"You're welcome.." Siaxx responded. "Now take a deep breath and let it out slowly.."
Phoenix did so. Many times, until sleep finally took her. Though it was anything but restful.
Siaxx sat by her side, never moving as she gently soothed the other woman.
