Mission: Mission 23: Foundations of Stone
Location: Various Locations - USS Roanoke
Timeline: 1300Hrs - January 28th, 2391

Commander Torilla Yamaguchi had finally snapped as she slumped into a corner, she had lost her babies and now she would not be able to carry them to term.

Before she knew it she had found a nice quiet corner to be alone as she found herself sitting in the floor, her face buried in her hands as she wept openly.

She didn't care that the sounds her her crying could be heard for a good distance up and down the hallway.

Ra'Vak had not been having the best of days. Once again he was pulling extra shifts trying to get engineering put back together. At least he got engineering to where everyone can work again. But he just heard that a new computer core would take 8 weeks to get here.

Now Ra'Vak needed to take a lunch break, having not even eaten breakfast today, he decided to have a big lunch in the green dragon. However on heading there he could hear crying. Poking his head around the corner he saw Torilla, crying her eyes out. "Torilla," He said softly.

Torilla blinked as she looked up at Ra'Vak. "Yeah.." she blinked as she wiped her eyes. "Whats up?"

Ra'Vak came over and sat down next to Torilla Saying," I was about to ask the same of you, Whats wrong."

"My..." Torilla got out as she sighed. "I lost my babies.... they were taken from me..." she paused.. "I know the circumstances behind it... had I kept them... that virus would have killed all three of us..." she whimpered. "But there's what I know... and what I feel.."

Ra'Vak put a comforting hand on Torilla's shoulder. he didn't fully know all the details of the situation, but he knew enough. He also figured that that wasn't the only thing that was getting to her. He said in a comforting voice," No, whats done is done, what matters is that they are still alive, everything will work out, I'm sure."

Torilla climbed back to her feet before she gently slipped her arms around him as she gave him a hug, burying her face into his shoulder.

Ra'Vak didn't say anything, just giving Torilla a gentle embrace. He decided that now was the time to just be silent, if she wanted to talk, he would listen.

"I thought it would be alright... I mean Phoenix explained what happened to me. She was more worried that I was going to tear Siaxx's head off of her shoulders... but she did what she had to do.." she sighed. "I don't know what to do..."

Ra'Vak shrugged," Not much you could do in the situation. Siaxx and Phoenix did what they thought was best, they where only trying to look after you and your kids."

Torilla nodded her head. "I know... and Elizabeth helped operate on me... she was the one who made the final choice.... one I don't envy.."

Ra'Vak tried his best to comfort Torilla, " Who would, but the way I see it, she made the best call that was available. she didn't end up being so indecisive to the point where nothing would have gotten done, and that's what counts."

"I'm proud of her..." Torilla commented softly. "She has the guts to do what I could never do..."

Ra'Vak nodded, saying, "Yeah, don't worry, you've had three good children so far, I'm sure these next two will turn out just fine. Got any name idea's yet."

"Phoenix and Tressa... if they are male and female." Torilla explained.
"Phoenix and Bart if both are boys, Astrid and Tressa if both are girls."

Ra'Vak nodded," I see you where inspired."

"I was.." she admitted. "I had good friends..." she admitted. "Tressa Brislan is tireless at times in her dedication to her work and to her friends.. Phoenix requires no explanation.."

After seeing that Torilla seemed a little better, Ra'Vak suggested," Well we are on shore leave, maybe you should take some time off and see your husband for a change. I'm pretty sure he is worried about you."

"Yeah..." Torilla admitted. "That sounds... like a great idea.." she admitted. "Thanks Ra'Vak." and with that Torilla gently kissed him on the cheek before taking her leave.

Ra'Vak sat there for a minute, thinking about the situation. Then his concentration was broken by a rumbling stomach, and he left to go to the green dragon.
