Beware of Klingons Bearing Gifts

Mission: Mission 15: Old Ghosts
Location: Various Locations - USS Roanoke
Timeline: 0800Hrs, December 10th, 2390

Teval looked around the deck from the tower, watching as the deck crew prepared for departure, as he cuddled with his purring sister. It was the day of departure, and the ship was due to leave spacedock in several hours. At least today had no obvious incidents.

Commander Torilla Yamaguchi was at the end of doing her rounds as she had left her preferred place on the ship until last, she smiled as she spotted the two feline officers sharing a cuddle. "Hey guys, I hope I'm not intruding?" she commented.

Teval lifted his head off his sister's," No, your not, its been a more quiet than usual day for once."

"Nice... With Houges in sickbay with food poisoning and Raaboba on the parade of shame, it seems to have gotten the message across... until someone else rises to full the gap." Yamaguchi responded with a smile.

Hakaya, still with a slight purr in her voice, replied," Somehow I don't think Houge's will get the hint, I need something more potent than a cattleprod for him."

Yamaguchi raised an eyebrow. "Mmm... so we need something more potent.." she then smiled. "you could always try a Klingon pain stick." she explained. "I heard stories of various people being motivated after one or two jabs from a pain stick.. as well as some animals head exploding."

Hakaya thought about the matter for a moment when the door opened and Anastasiya walked in, saying," Beware of klingon's bearing gifts," as she handed several metal rods to Hakaya.

Torilla regarded Anastasiya with a cheery smile. "Nice... was Santa good to you this time around?" she inquired.

"Oh wait... Sory I keep forgetting that not everyone has Christmas the way the humans do." Yamaguchi added a moment later.

Anastasiya also presented a bottle of Apfelkorn, and proceeded to pour everyone a glass, though she gave torilla something else non alcoholic. Hakaya took her drink, and instantly warmed up to it, saying," This is real good, as she cuddled closer to Teval and looking incredibly cute in the process.

Torilla smiled as she accepted her drink, she took a sip as she regarded the two feline's in the room, she sighed softly.

Anastasiya stretched, then said," Well, i'm off to my quarters, I'll see you two cuties when I come on shift," And she left the tower.

Meanwhile teval resumed rubbing his sisters neck and chest, and she began to purr contently again, occasionally taking a sip of her drink.
Teval looked at torilla and said," So how's things going with you."

"I could complain.... being pregnant is demanding at times.." she sighed softly. "Always tired, feeling like I'm inflating like a balloon and my feet always hurt.." she explained.

"But at least on this ship, I can make my own hours..." she added. "I wanna spend some time soaking my troubles away in a nice hot bath..."

Hakaya stared at the ground while purring, then commented," Yeah I dont think i'll ever have to worry about that."

"Fair enough." Yamaguchi smiled. "So... what did the Klingon bring you?" she inquired.

Hakaya looked at the devices and then replied," I'm pretty sure these are painsticks, which will definitely help with the extremely unruly like berg."

Yamaguchi smiled. "Excellent..." she paused. "Is there any chances I could request your cattleprod for a time?" she inquired. "I find that having it on hand appeals to me on a very primal level.."

Teval pulled one out of one of the lockers and said," Here is one of our spares."

Torilla chuckled softly as she accepted the item. "Thank you... Merry Christmas..." she commented as a thought occurred to her. "So... Who's this Berg Houge character I keep hearing about..?" she inquired. "Idiot boy mentioned his name several times.."

Teval sighed and then proceeded to fill her in on the long details, and the story of what he did, starting with his treatment of Ryi, then explaining his attempt to intimidate Abbado and Zenka, then his attempt to argue then kick Hakaya, and her subsequent dismantling of him. He of course didn't forget to elaborate just what he said to Hakaya. He finally finished with what fives did to him, and then what siaxx did to him. Hakaya grew visibly irritated during the explanation, and responded by moving ever closer to Teval, as well as downing her drink, and starting a second one.

Torilla listened in silence, her cheery mood evaporated like the last building in a doomed city as it was washed away under the rising tide of an angry ocean. "he did... WHAT!" Torilla blinked in surprise when the conversation was finished. "Where is he now?" she inquired.

Teval replied in flat tone," Currently he is under quarantine for having a rather severe case of norwalk virus."

"Norwalk." Torilla responded in a disbelieving tone. "How did Norwalk get loose ab-" she paused. "Siaxx... That woman is just vindictive." she then smiled. "After he gets out... I will have my turn, he will lose something precious to him."

Teval frowned," Yeah, this guy is an ego case of the likes that I have never seen before, you may need a painstick for this fool."

Torilla slowly smiled. "I've seen my far share of ego cases but this guy sounds like something special.." she responded. "Mind if I borrow a pain stick for when I deal with him?" she inquired. "I will return it of course."

"Sure, Teval replied, as he cuddled with his sister more. she returned to a very content state, nearly falling asleep.

Torilla smiled as she selected one of them at random, she them gave it the once over. "Mmm... I could use this on a permanent basis.." she mused aloud. "I have a certain diplomat who might be a malcontent..."

Neither Teval nor Hakaya responded, instead they just sat there looking adorable.

"Y'know... I seldom see so much adorable in one place..." she paused. "Do you guys mind being petted or picked up?, I've read some of Siaxx's medical reports on the matter.."

Teval smiles and replied," Well, I don't mind, but my sister, oh she is a cuddle bunny all right. But before you pick her up, first rub her on the chest or neck, in the white furred area's," As he said that he rubbed his sister in the collar bone area, and she purred loudly.

"Chest or neck." Torilla responded evenly as she ran a gentle hand through Teval's fur, without even relizing that she was doing it. "Fair enough..."

Teval simply sighed, and purred softly while Torilla pet him. A short while later, he commented," I wonder whom I pissed off to end up on this career killer of a ship."

Torilla raised an eyebrow. "Do you mean the Roanoke... or your career by itself?" she inquired, she nearly missed the double meaning inside his comment.
Teval simply shurugged," I guess both, now that I think about it. Choosing this job probably wasn't one of my best decisions."

She paused. "Well... where do you think you could have gone instead?" she inquired. "As an Exec I mean..."

Teval stared at the flight deck in thought," Yeah, that probably would have been a better decision, I have the training, otherwise I never would have gotten to commander. But flight has no further ranks to go really, I have to switch to something else to remain captain, and I I have to stay commander for too, long, then I will just simply retire. I cant be like those people that stays in one position for 20 years. At least when I was with Intel, things where more interesting."

Torilla nodded her head. "Alright... well I can talk to my husband who I heard is in the market for a New Exec... I can also talk to Zara as well." she explained. "I have a few other relatives in the fleet as well. if you'd like... I can talk to them as well." she explained.

Teval leaned back a bit, Hakaya was now completely asleep," Yeah, that could be useful," Teval added," I wouldn't mind getting off this ship either, though only so long as it rescues my sister as well. Though I have a hard time counting on Zara doing anything about it, and i know that these kinds of transfers don't happen overnight either."

Torilla slowly nodded her head. "I'll look into it for you. I'll see what my small brood of siblings need in terms of officers and Exec's. give me a few days okay?"

"Sure," Was all he said as he continued to cuddled with his sister. He then asked," So what do you think of this ships CO."

Torilla opened her mouth but paused at the last second. "When I first came aboard... I hated her, she was not very welcoming, hard to deal with and was not interested in getting to know me or anything about me... and so I was prepared for this to be a short but difficult assignment.... but then she took me into her office and apologized for everything.." Torilla explained. "it was something of a shock.... I wasn't prepared for it.. and I'm still processing it..."

Teval simply stared at his sister, before giving his own opinion," Everything about whats going on on this ship tell's me she doesn't care about anyone, neither the crew, nor the ship itself. Everything about her seems like she is just this bitter woman whom needs to get out of starfleet, but wont for whatever reason. And unfortunately, that's why I personally wouldn't bother to go to her about anything, unless she somehow manages to prove otherwise."

Torilla regarded him. "I'll talk to her..." she responded before she tapped her combadge. "Computer locate Captain Tane?"

"Captain Tane is located in her ready room."

"Alright..." Torilla commented. "I'm gonna go drive my boot up her ass.... should I give her your regards at the same time?"

Teval simply shrugged," Do as you wish on the matter."

Torilla rose to her feet as she quickly took her leave, departing in silence.
