Sun, Sand and Surf - Part One

Mission: Mission 15: Old Ghosts
Location: Various Locations - USS Roanoke
Timeline: 1300Hrs, December 9th, 2390

Lt Commander Siaxx Dvald smiled as she looked around, this section of the Viery Territory was uninhabited so nobody ever came here, she had placed the shuttle close to the beachfront itself so they wouldn't have far to go. She was highly tempted to set down on the beachfront itself but instead she decided to set down on the bridge, at the sands edge, about forty or so yards from the oceanfront.

"You ready Phoenix?" Siaxx had double checked as she made sure that the shuttle they had borrowed was secured.

"I am," Phoenix sighed happily as she ruffled Dora's head playfully to wake her up.

"Okay.." and with that she scooped up Shonax as he protested with a loud meow, Dora meanwhile looked almost bored.

Siaxx opened the hatch as she felt the brilliant rays from the systems primary wash over her. "Ahh..." she smiled.

"So what's this place like?" Phoenix asked as she picked Dora up and pulled a small bottle out of the cooler. Intent on feeding the dog while they made camp.

Siaxx went out the shuttle hatch as she smiled. "Wonderful... no clouds anywhere..." she commented. "todays forcast, extra balmy... slight chance of mushroom clouds.." and with that Siaxx peeled off her shirt to reveal the dark green one piece she was wearing.

The pilot grabbed a tan messenger, packed with a lot of art supplies, and then picked up Dora, her puppy German Sheppard, and pulled a bottle from her bag so she could feed the little one in her arms.

Siaxx opened her tricorder to make sure that both sets of trackers were working, she smiled as she saw that they were. "Shonax...enjoy..." and with that she gently placed the Bengal cat gently on the sand, he blinked as he looked around.

"That's one happy kitty beast," Phoenix laughed joyfully as she watched the cat romp and bat at butterflies.

"How is she?" Siaxx inquired as she turned back, to help Phoenix unpack their things they had brought with them.

"Healthy but hungry," Phoenix sighed happily and with her free arm, helped Siaxx straighten out a blanket. "It's nice ta get away from the barn for a change."

Siaxx smiled. "Oh Khaset yes.." the Bolian sighed happily as she proceeded to sink a large umbrella into the ground before placing their cooler underneath it. She blew a kiss to the German Shepard puppy who looked somewhat intimidated by the open ground. "I wonder if her mother is out there.." Siaxx mused with a smile

"Dora's probably a bit frightened by all tha changes. I'd not blame her if she saw her mom and darted to her," Phoenix noted sympathetically as she sat on the blanket and began to caress Dora in a motherly fashion while feeding her.

"I wonder how people on the ship would greet the news that we brought back her mom and all her siblings.." the Bolian smiled. "Tane would lose her mind and... that would be amusing." she smiled. "Did I say that out loud?"

"You did. But you don' see me complainin'," Phoenix laughed, almost scaring the dog.

"Oh dear.. " Siaxx chuckled. "Well.. what can I say?" she inquired

"Can you fetch my collapsible easel? It's in the red bag on the shuttle, near my seat," Phoenix asked respectfully.

Siaxx nodded "Okay... give me a minute," and with that, Siaxx retreated back to the inside of the shuttle to retrieve the bag. She returned a few moments later with the item in hand. "Here you go."

"Perfect! Thank you Dear," Phoenix spoke and dragged Siaxx down to the blanket so she could thank her girlfriend with a kiss on the lips.

Siaxx found herself on the blanket with Phoenix almost atop her. "Mmm..." Siaxx then smiled after sharing a kiss with Phoenix. "Mmmm." the Bolian's smile widened. "So... think we can bring this onto the holodeck?" she inquired.

"Oh I'd love to do that," Phoenix smiled brightly. "But I'd rather paint a picture, to remember this moment as it is."

Siaxx smiled at Phoenix. "That sounds great...." she paused as he smile widened. "Why don't you?"

"...And what are you gonna do while I paint?" Phoenix asked with a mischievous grin.

Siaxx returned her girlfriends grin with one of her own. "I was going to watch Shonax and Dora." she responded. "and keep an eye on everything else... as well as make dinner..." she then smiled. "There is nothing like Barbecued steak on the beach." she regarded Phoenix. "Why? Did you want me to look after something else too?" she smiled.

"So long as it makes you happy, I don' mind what ya wanna do," Phoenix promised as she finished feeding Dora, then placed the puppy beside of her on the blanket.

Siaxx smiled. "Oh... you and me, here with these two... what more could we want?" she inquired as she noticed Shonax had caught a fish. "At least Beastie will feast well.." she indicated the Bengal cat who was trotting back to the two women, a fish between its jaws.

Phoenix laughed as she took out her sketch pad and started to draw a rough sketch of the beach front.

"Any sort of holo-movie you wanna watch, for our next date night?"" Phoenix asked casually as she began to detail the tropical trees along the beach line.

Siaxx smiled. "Something Pornographic." she commented as she grinned at the other woman. "All joking aside... probably go for an action move of some kind."

"That sounds good," Phoenix smiled brightly. "I'll make us some popcorn for that, I think."

"I'll make sure I have a good movie selected.... or something pornographic.." Siaxx smiled as she gently kissed Phoenix on the cheek. "I love you."
