Mission: Mission 8: Hope Found and then Lost
Location: Various Locations - USS Yorktown
Timeline: 1800Hrs - April 19th, 2389

Lt Commander Torilla Yamaguchi held a PADD in her hands as she sat back at th esmall computer
terminal she was working at, most of the higher level functions of the computer were fried so she couldn't
do anything other then paperwork, she was fortunate that they still had subspace communications or anything else related to subspace as the Ion storm had done a fair chunk of damage,

Torilla tapped something on the PADD as a sigh escaped her lips, she missed her husband and children as she wished for a moment that she had her husband with her. She shook her head as if trying to dismiss those thoughts as she reveiwed the days events in her mind,

She had nearly been killed, almong with those aboard the USS Yorktown partly because of the fact that the Freighter Captain had thrown an unexpected monkey wrench into the works when he told her about cargo they hhad to save, what she didn't know at the time was the nature of that cargo so she had placed it down at the bottom of her rather lengthy to do list.

That, in addition to other issues and delays had cost them time, this was what had caused their problem and why the ships computer core had been fried, she was in an evil mood regarding the core because they had never been able to determine once and for all that the core was indeed sentient but all of the evidence they had on hand said the core was either fully sentient or close to it.

Torilla tapped a few more keys on the PADD before she abruptly slapped the PADD down on her desk as she growled, she brushed a few strands of hair out of her eyes which had fallen out of the bun she had pulled her hair into that morning.

She shucked out of her uniform jacket as she regarded her muscled and toned features in the mirror as a smile crept across her face. "I need a vacation..." she muttered before picking up her PADD as she went back to work. "When we get back... I'm going to request a few days off for myself." she said aloud.
