LTCMDR Torilla Yamaguchi's Personal Log - Silence is Truly Golden

The following is a personal log from LTCMDR Torilla Yamaguchi.

Lt Commander Torilla Yamaguchi sighed as she was sitting in a chair in the guest quarters aboard the USS Stalwart Dawn, an Akira class ship that was transiting past Starbase 400 as she headed on her patrol mission.

Yamaguchi sighed as she once again recalled exactly what it was that had driven her here, to the point where she was in her life. "Torilla... face it.. you need to go elsewhere... I know you too well and you're angry and frustrated..."
she thought of her sister-in-law whom she got along with so well.

She tapped one of the icons on the display before her as she began to speak softly, the musical tones easily erasing her anger which seemed to be a constant part of her now, she had been told that she was living in a permanent state of pissed off and now she was trying to deal with it.

"Personal Log, Stardate 65412." she sighed softly. "Today I found out I was going to Starbase 400 as their new strategic operations officer, serving with Admiral Bremer and his crew should be interesting, if even half the stories I've heard about them are true then this assignment could be just what the Doctor ordered for me, short of going home to Jake and the Courageous."

She sighed a second time as she thought about how much she missed her husband and with a mental shove she pushed the thought away lest it overwhelm her. "I can't sleep.... but then I never could when going to a new assignment, even if I am taking Racheal with me... hopefully, things will be better on this assignment then they were on my last... I will start to find out in a few hours when I meet the Admiral.... end log."

Torilla slowly climbed to her feet as she felt a wave of exhaustion pass over her, she blinked as she smiled, maybe now she could sleep so she made her way into the bedroom and with that, the door closed behind her.
