Old Ghosts - Part Two

Mission: Mission 107: Shades of Siaxx
Location: Various Locations - Starbase Vanguard
Timeline: 0900Hrs - October 20th, 2393

The massive set of double doors which were marked "STARBASE HOSPITAL - MAIN ENTRANCE" with two Starfleet emblems on either side, parted at the approach of the small Bolian female. Siaxx Dvald-Vaxx moved through the double doors and into the hospital complex proper, she moved over to the desk as she nodded at the young man who was at the desk. "Captain, What can I do for you?" as he looked at Dvald-Vaxx's face and did not let his eyes wander over her pregnant body as some would do.

"I am here for my appointment with Kadian Paris," Dvald-Vaxx commented in a light tone of voice.

"Let's see... Yep, you are listed here... Because if you weren't then someone would owe me and you, an explanation as to why you are not listed." the man commented with an easy smile. "Don't go anywhere, I'll call her for you right away." the man tapped the display as he proceeded to stick in the call for Lieutenant Paris to come up to the front desk right away.

Seated in her little den of sin, Lieutenant Kadian Paris was busy with a PADD in her rather delicate-looking fingers. She was looking at the DNA of Elizabeth Yamaguchi-Solusar's unborn child as she wanted to be certain the other woman was being paranoid, she knew that Beth still had troubles and concerns she wished to have addressed as soon as she could, Paris would try to alleviate the other woman's troubles as best as she could. The com system beeped at her, before requesting that she come to the front desk for her appointment.

Paris set the PADD down on her desk before she rose to her feet, she exited her office without a sound before moving down the hallway towards the front desk, which she arrived at only seconds later. "Hey, guys... Siaxx..." Paris started before she recalled the protocol to address senior officers. "I'm sorry Captain, you called for me?" she tried a second time.

"Its fine Kadian. You worked with me for the better part of a year and I was always informal." Dvald-Vaxx answered with a smile on her lips. "I guess working with your new boss has not changed things hmmm.?" she asked

"No. Doctor Dvald is not demanding, she's fair and reasonable. We should all be so lucky..." Paris answered with a gentle smile. "Well, I'm ready to see you now... Shall we?" she asked the smaller Bolian before her.

"Sure," Dvald-Vaxx answered quietly, she followed after the taller female in silence, but everyone was taller then she was, so Siaxx was somewhat used to this state of affairs.

"Is Master Chief Vaxx joining us for your examination?" Paris inquired.

"Let's give him a few minutes, I have a feeling he's running late... If not, then we can do it without him and I'll explain the details to him later." the small-framed Bolian female explained her situation, as the two entered the examination room. "Alright, take a seat on the bed and then you can tell me the other reason you wanted to see me," Paris explained with a gentle grin.

Dvald-Vaxx regarded the other woman. "Right. I forgot..." she commented with a sigh. "You're a telepath."

"You are kinda screaming it at me Siaxx..." Paris explained as she lifted her medkit. "Would you prefer Elizabeth-"

"No, no to the fuck no!" Dvald-Vaxx suprised herself with the vehemence of her statement. "No. I do NOT need to stress the pregnant Yamamguichi any more then she already is... I am sure that Medical is still feeling the aftershocks of my last encounter with her... Considering she and I had a screaming match over my work and she demanded I take it easy... Well, it was more that she shouted at me, I cried and then I got angry and melted down on her."

"Yes, I heard... and I felt the psionic shockwave from you two... It... was not fun to endure that..." Paris explained quietly. "It was... Very painful."

"I'm sorry Kadian," Dvald-Vaxx answered. "That's why I switched Doctors... after Elizabeth and I decided it would be best if I did... She knows me too well to be able to do her job. She babysits my kids, she's learning how to cook from Chen... The only thing she doesn't do is have sex with either me or Chen..." the small Bolian sighed softly.

"Yeah, I know... that's why I took the job, I can do what she does... Except I don't babysit for you or look after you. However, I am not as nice as she is... But she does have a point... You have been working a lot of hours recently." Paris regarded the smaller woman before her. "That's what brought on that argument... wasn't it?"

"Yes..." Dvald-Vaxx admitted.

Paris nodded her head as she opened her tricorder and went to work. She was glad that they had gone back to an older series of tricorders, refitted for the modern field, rather than the large flat displays that were in use during the Shinzon incident. "Alright, let me have a look at you," Paris commented. "There is a danger in seeking knowledge Siaxx... Both in seeking and in knowing." as she let the tricorder do its thing. "Alright... You are indeed malnourished, you're not increasing your caloric intake as you should. The issues you face are the baby taking more nutrients from you to sustain itself. You also need to take it easy more... You tend to do a lot of walking and that adds stress... Let someone else do the walking while you handle the paperwork." Paris commented. "Alright... I am not going to sideline you just yet... But I have concerns about the state of your pregnancy..." Paris stopped as she noticed Dvald-Vaxx close her eyes, a single tear slid down her face before the small Bolian wiped it away. "Blast it." she hissed softly.
