Mission: Mission 86: A Hero Falls
Location: Various Locations - USS Spirit of Winter
Timeline: 1910Hrs - May 17th, 2392

Lieutenant Ajal entered her old quarters where she lived with her girlfriend, Autumn but the two of them were having a rough patch in their relationship as Autumn and Ajal had been dealing with issues relating to R'Merah. Autumn had abused her posting to get her vengeance on the Caitian who had violated her and had threatened and intimidated Ajal on the matter.

While Ajal was more reasonable than most, she was disgruntled about the entire situation but Autumn was the one who had been the most annoyed with the issue as the smaller woman didn't like being overprotected by her girlfriend which Ajal had been doing.

Ajal herself would even admit it more than anyone else as she went into the bedroom, she shucked all of her clothing before she recycled it all, underwear included before she stepped into the shower to clean herself from the funk and grime of a hard day in Spirit of Winter's engine room.

A few minutes later after she applied soap and proceeded to lather herself up, she washed it all off of her frame, she felt better than she had in a while before she turned the water off before wiping off the excess water from her frame before stepping out of the shower, she proceeded to done her clothing, which tonight it was a pair of jeans, a sweatshirt and just her bare feet since she wasn't going anywhere.

The door opened as she finished dressing and in walked Lt Commander Autumn Yamaguchi, tears streaming down her face. Ajal regarded her. "Autumn, what has happened?" the large Klingon female inquired, concern in her voice.

"My mom's sister-in-law was killed in action earlier today, she was the commander of the Courageous," Autumn explained through her tears.

Ajal knew exactly of what Autumn was talking about. "Ahh." she paused. "Torilla Yamaguchi." Ajal nodded her head softly as she spoke. "I doubt there is any corner of Roanoke's Squadron in where this news has not spread." she sighed softly. "I am sorry Autumn."

Yamaguchi regarded the larger Klingon woman. "What?" she inquired. "You gonna tell me some crap about her dying a glorious death in battle?"

"No," Ajal responded evenly. "Now is not the time to decide such things." she paused. "We have no body to bury so we will mourn her properly." Ajal paused. "You recall the warning howl?" Ajal inquired. "The Black Fleet should be warned of what is coming."

"I do, yes" Yamaguchi answered as Ajal sucked in a lungful of air before she began softly growling, Autumn following suit with her before both women let out a loud roar at the top of their lungs, everyone within seventy-five feet heard both women scream loudly.

Autumn stopped first and moments later, Ajal did likewise. "The dead have been informed... The soul of a great warrior is about to arrive."

"I need a drink," Yamaguchi responded quietly. "Something with booze in it."

"That can be arranged. If.." Ajal paused. "You do not pick a fight with others while we are in the lounge."

"I make no promises," Yamaguchi responded. Ajal simply glared a trifle hotly at the smaller woman before her. "Autumn, please?." the Klingon female inquired before she huffed a soft sigh.

"Oh.." Yamaguchi sighed. "Alright, you win." and with that Autumn slipped her smaller form into the bedroom, the door closed behind her as Ajal sighed softly to herself. "I hope you died quick, Torilla Yamaguchi. For if you did not die well then I will make it a black matter for the people who killed you." the Klingon woman promised in a soft tone of voice.

For Ajal, the grieving process was short, simple and very much to the point but she knew that for Autumn, it was anything but simple and short. Ajal went over to the computer workstation the two women maintained in their quarters, she tapped it once before inputting her personal access code.

Ajal frowned as she began checking her mail, most of it was the usual from her people. Requests for her to deal with in the morning so she copied those onto a PADD that was nearby before sending the half dozen requests onto her personal work database that she normally assessed in the morning. She then opened the first of two letters, one of them was from Starfleet personnel, wanting an update on how she was settling in with the Starfleet personnel on the USS Spirit of Winter and it was also a notice that they would speak with Commander Renhai on the subject too. However, it was the second letter that caught her interest. It was from her aunt. Captain Di'nal - Commanding Officer - IKS mupwI'.

Ajal opened it, her eyes quickly devouring the contents of the letter. "Mmm... seems that House H'ruS is having some problems." she paused. "I may need to go back to Kronos and help deal with these issues." she was musing over this as the door to the bedroom opened and out came Autumn Yamaguchi wearing a pair of jeans and a simple blouse. "Ajal?"

"Yeah Autumn?" the tall female Klingon shifted her attention from her workstation to her girlfriend. "Whats on your mind?"

Yamaguchi paused. "You feel like going out for dinner?"

"I do." Ajal turned off the workstation after signing out of her mail. "Let me go get a pair of socks and I can be ready shortly," she explained as she went past Autumn and into the bedroom, returning a moment later, socks in hand. "Are you going to be okay?"

"It's not as crippling to me as it is to others in the battle group. I recommend you avoid surprising Lieutenants Yamaguchi or doing anything to anger Gabriel." Yamaguchi explained. "He won't be thinking straight."

"He was close with his mother?" Ajal inquired as she pulled on the two socks before she slid on her sneakers.

"Yes, he loved her very much or so I am told."

"Much like myself and Di'nal. My Aunt. I miss her." Ajal admitted quietly. "I wish I could convince my family of the possibilities here in the Federation. But alas they do not wish to hear it.."

"That is unfortunate," Yamaguchi said quietly. "But not unexpected."

"House H'ruS is having issues. I need to wait before I know more." Ajal explained.

"Lovely. Aren't you part of that house?" Autumn paused. "Did they not cause issues for you when you become involved with me the first time.?"

"More or less and yes, they did," Ajal shrugged. "My father disowned me for it," Ajal added by way of explanation. "We can discuss that over dinner in addition to our other things we must discuss."

"Good. You ready?" Yamaguchi inquired. "Because I am."

"Excellent. Let's go then." and with that said, the two women went out the door, off towards the lounge.
