Posted on Fri Mar 6th, 2020 @ 2:22pm by Fleet Admiral Dominique Jes-Tereth

Mission: Mission 65: And Death Rained Down
Location: High Orbit Space Station - Ty'Gokor
Timeline: 1300Hrs - Feb 12th 2392

The news had come in swift and sure and now several hours later. Colonel L'heki smiled darkly at the wall monitor. "How many ships will support me?" he inquired of his aide, a man who was a century his senior.

K'Vlarg simply shrugged. "Two dozen Captains here say that they will.. That is out of loyalty to your house." the ancient Klingon explained.

"What of my own squadron?" L'heki inquired.

"Six will join you, two will not." the ancients tone was dismissive. "You don't have enough ships to make a run for the Chancellorship."

L'heki sighed. "I just need to get to Kronos and stake my claim. Kahless said 'strike quick or strike not.'" the larger Klingon quoted. "I must be swift!"

"Yes but he also said that to ensure victory, one must face their enemy. It will not do to have you outmatched by your rivals, soon to be your enemies."

"Thats unimportant. I have twenty eight ships, loyal to me who will fight for me and will rise to the challenge. That is enough for now." L'heki turned his attention to other matters. "When can the ships be ready to depart for Kronos?"

The old advisor turned his attention back to the display. "That is another matter.. some have been ready. others can be ready shortly and others will take time."

L'heki shifted his attention from the boring old man to the display before him before he gently touched one of the larger Klingon emblems.

"IKS Chu'von here. HoD Gr'lan in command."

"Captain. What is your status?" L'heki inquired.

"Sir. We are finishing with our loading now. We can be ready to depart within thirty minutes."

L'heki did a mental check in his head as the Captain explained his situation to him. "Very well Captain. Proceed as you think best. L'heki out." as he sighed. The Captain he had just spoken to would be doing a lot of his work in transit, and that was assuming they met no opposition which L'heki didn't count on that assumption.

L'heki touched a second Klingon emblem before him and as before. a voice responded. "IKS Pauer, HoD K'gar commanding."

"What is your status Captain?" L'heki inquired, a patient tone in his voice.

"I am still loading weapons and supplies, I need at least an hour to complete that.." there was a pregnant pause. "I can get underway in two hours."

The conversation continued much the same as it had with the previous ship as L'heki then proceeded to call all of his Captains one by one, double checking their loyalty to him and his cause.

Once all of them had checked in and were with him to L'heki's satisfaction. He then contacted them all and laid out his plans. As expected they were to follow him to Kronos and glory, once he finished his transmission. L'heki finished laying his plans. "We depart in three hours... First stop will be the Solidak system."
