Mission: Mission 61: The Blood-Dimmed Tide
Location: Ryazar's shield / Planet Durandall
Timeline: 1000Hrs - February 5th, 2392

Zuko checked his weapon as he readied himself for the coming battle. It had been a long time since he had held an Akurian combat rifle, but despite all the time, the weapon still felt comfortably familiar. He was also wearing a standard Akurian combat vest, which incorporated a strong personal energy shield. Around him where numerous Akurian army personnel, as well as starfleet and Ferasian volunteers. But right next to him was the person he had learned to grow quite comfortable with, his chief security officer, Selgae, whom also was wearing an Akurian combat vest.

Selgae took a moment to check over her rifle that she had liberated from Dreamcrushers armory. Nodding in satisfaction, she began checking over the rest of her gear. "Yep... ready to murder... I mean kill... no I mean murder some Klingons." Selgae paused as she turned to Zuko. "You set?" she inquired. "You think Commander McKnight will be okay commanding Dreamcrusher?."

Zuko nodded. "Yeah he should be fine, he has been a captain before so I don't see any issue."

Selgae nodded her furry head. "Alright." she sighed softly. "When do we hit our target?"

Kasana whom was standing at the controls of the gate, answered, in a minute or two, your team will be taking a Bortasque class, i'll be opening up a gate right in the captains ready room, which is currently empty. the Scansat's tell us there are only three on the bridge, but there are 63 Klingon's on the whole ships, and 97 Ferasian's."

Selgae nodded. "Alright.. Take the bridge first then seize the computer, beam the Klingons into space and take the ship that way."

Zuko nodded. "Yep that's basically it." Kasana then announced, alright team, be ready to go in 5 seconds.

Selgae took aim with her weapon before her, she had it set to heavy stun. "Deactivate safeties." she commented as she did so for her own weapon.

The portal was opened and Zuko and Selgae where the first two in. only three Klingons where in the bridge area and none of them where expecting it when Zuko opened fired on the first Klingon, putting him down in the first shot.

Selgae gunned down the second and both she and Zuko together gunned down the third. "Nice.." she commented. "Time to take over the bridge.. everyone else, move out, take the rest of the ship... Klingons give you any trouble... well you know what the knives are for." she commented as she slung her rifle over her back.

The Akurian Technician, whom was an AI host, went over to the nearest computer terminal and connected his AI into the ships computer, and immediately the AI began to take over the klingon ships systems. Once he took control of the transporter systems he began to beam the klingons off the ship. The whole operation was over in minutes with the technician reporting, "the ship is ours."

Zuko nodded and over the radio he kept track of the other team leaders as they all reported similar levels of success. " alright, first beam all the ferasians that are on the nearby space station onto the ship."

Zuko then looked at Selgae, "Take over tactical and open fire on the nearby space station, focus on knocking out its weapons first. Beam explosives into critical area's if you have to, but try not to outright destroy the station until all the Ferasians are out."

Selgae nodded her furry head, she made her way over to the tactical station, she tapped the display before her as she went to work. "Opening fire!" Selgae targeted the weapons emplacements facing the ship they were on.

Selgae caught the base completely by surprise as she began demolishing the bases weapons emplacements.

Meanwhile on the planet, a Klingon man by the name of Fe'Kar noticed the comm's blackout and the power failures across the planet. By monitoring the communications he got garbled reports of the reserve fleet being boarded, but it wasn't much. Commenting to the other two whom where accompanying him, "so, Uzara must have brought federation help after all."

One, a Klingon female replied. "good, lets do this."

Fe'Kar pulled out an old fashion radio. The device didn't work on subspace, instead just old school radio waves. His organization had been using these radio's for some time while operating on planets since no one bothered to monitor radio communications anymore, and as a plus side, subspace comm's jammers didn't affect them. All he said over the radio was. "Begin." Soon after he did, the trio walked up to a barracks where a large number of slaves where being held, kicked open the doors and shot the two house Tekevek guards on duty. He then shouted to the Ferasians in the barracks. "if you want freedom then follow us. He then turned to his two companions saying," Take these people to the ship, I got something to attend to."

The other two nodded and started leaving the Ferasians out, while Fe'Kar holstered his weapon and hit a couple of commands on his wrist communicator, using a site to sight transporter to beam himself onto the Bortasque class ship, putting himself in the captains ready room.

Looking around he found the ready room empty, but he definitively heard voices in the bridge, and his tricorder told him that the beings on the bridge weren't Klingon. One he could tell was Ferasian or Caitian, the others he wasn't so sure about bu they seemed to scan pretty close. So he decided to take a chance, and with his hands raised and weaponless, he stepped onto the bridge.

Selgae had her rifle pointed at him. "Who are you?" she asked simply. "Approach slowly... don't do anything sudden..." she added.

Zuko looked at the new arrival, an older klingon male whom obviously had been around for a while, but he didn't comment, as the man had his hands raised. "I am Fe'Kar, and I am the one whom initially helped set the first group of Ferasian's free, including Uzara. I and my organization is willing to assist you in freeing the Ferasian's."

Selgae slowly lowered her rifle. "Alright.." she paused as she regarded him. "Organization?" she inquired.

Fe'kar nodded. "The Klingon Worker's party. The name is self explanatory, we are not a group of warriors, rather our group consists of mainly the Klingon workers caste, as well as Klingons whom have no houses. Slavery is a stain on the Klingon society and houses that practice it deserve nothing more than destruction."

Selgae regarded him. "Thats not a statement I ever expected a Klingon to say.." she paused. "Okay. take a seat over there where I can keep an eye on you please?" she indicated the center of the bridge. "skipper.. What are we gonna do with this guy?" she inquired.

Zuko looked over at the older Klingon while answering, "I'm going to let Navanzi know on the matter, see if he can get me in touch with Teval, he might know more about this."

He then pulled up his Techyon radio and contacted Nevanzi, "Hey Nevanzi, I need you to get me in contact with Teval, I have a few questions to ask him."

Nevanzi nodded and replied. "Alright my Comm's officer is on it."

After a few moments, Zuko was put in contact with Teval, with Teval asking. "What is it."

Zuko answered, I have an older Klingon guy, named Fe'Kar, claims he is apart of some Klingon workers party resistance movement, saying he helped us out with the slave situation, is there any validity to that claim."

Teval almost immediately knew what Zuko was talking about. "Yes, Fe'Kar, I know him, yeah he is one of the leaders of that organization, its through him and several of his colleagues that I learned of the situation in the first place. Yeah they have been trying to get better standing for non warrior Klingon castes and subject species for decades, yeah if its him, you definitely should be able to expect some assistance. Here we will use the gateway to bring him here."

Zuko nodded and moments later the Iconian gateway opened a portal on the bridge, while Zuko looked over at Fe'Kar, if you don't mind, can you go through there to meet Teval.

Fe"kar nodded as he got up, heading for the portal, commenting," Ah so you do know Teval, well I wouldn't mind seeing him again."

Shortly after Fe'Kar stepped through the gateway, Zuko commented.
"Well, this was an unexpected turn of events."

Selgae had observed in silence. "Yes. So it would seem." she responded quietly as the deck softly shook. "Excuse me... I need to go smash someone's face in." as the Caitian went back to her panel. "The stations' shields have collapsed... Should I destroy them?" she felt she was doing only what she had to do, she took no pleasure in this.

Zuko looked at the tactical display of the station, then replied. "Only if necessary, and definitely not right now, our forces are still in the process of capturing ships docked to that station and we don't need to cause the thing to explode before they have a chance to get away from it."

Selgae shifted her attention from her panel to Zuko then back to her panel again. "The station for now.. seems to have ceased firing." she reported. "Holding fire.." she added. "Several ships are starting to get underway, crewed by our guys."

Zuko silently nodded, knowing that this was about to be a long upcoming 40 days.
