Taking control of the Deck again

Mission: Mission 32: Tales of Tarod
Location: Various Locations - USS Roanoke
Timeline: 0900Hrs - May 1st, 2391

Teval walked into the hangar control tower for the first time in a while. Since he had come back on the ship, he hadn't actually done any of his normal deck boss duties, thanks to Zara giving him time off. But he was ready to get back to it. Aside from his one hour visit 5 days ago, he hadn't really stepped foot in the tower since before the planet stranding incident. The only two people in the tower at the time was Zarloo's and Varkon, and Teval hadn't seen much of Zarloos since he had gotten back.

"So how has the deck crew been doing in my absence," Teval asked.

Sarloos blinked his large eyes as he attempted to stifle a yawn but he failed, before opening his mouth in a wide yawn displaying an impressive set of teath. "Mmm... sorry.." he muttered as he looked at Teval before he shrugged. "Nothing much is happening... Deck crew is getting things done and the pilots are behaving themselves, minus the odd spat here and there... I've taken to wandering the flight deck, pain stick in hand just in case..."

The midsized Caitian tapped the display. "Confirmed War ace Four Oh One, proceed with taxi..." he turned back to Teval. "all in all. nothing overly dramatic is happening... hows things with you?"

Teval shrugged, "Eh, not too much, just dealing with the kids a lot. with three of them, they can b a handful."

"That's normal for being a father. enjoy this time my friend." the Caitian responded with a grin before he turned back to his panel. "Go ahead War Ace Four oh One, take off at your discretion."

Teval took a seat next to Zarloos when Hakaya, Seykai, Nuyari and Takov walked in. Seykai was carrying one of Silversnow's kittens. It was the first time in a while that Teval had seen Seykai with a genuinely happy look on his face. Nuyari wasted no time and started climbing on Varkon, whom didn't do anything to stop her.

Zarloos regarded the new arrivals. "Ahh... Hello guys."

Seykai sat down in one of the chair's still cuddling with the purring kitten, while Hakaya commented, " Yeah, these to do like to be up here. And Seykai also likes to hang out with us as well."

Zarloos regarded the new person who he'd not met before. "Hello, we've not met before...I'm Zarloos, resident controller for the pilots for first shift and general nice guy. if you need anything by all means and help yourself, no need to ask."

Seykai simply nodded, replying with," I'm Seykai." He didn't say anything else as he held the kitten. Meanwhile takov touched Zarloos tail, saying" Its so fluffy."

Zarloos turned his head. "I know... and its also mine." he then smiled. "please don't pull on it.."

Takov gave Zarloos a look, "Hey, I know better than to pull on tails, I have one too you know."

"Oh good." Zarloos responded cheerfully before he turned his attention. "Come again War Hound Four two..... yes, proceed with taxi... you're next out after Three nine.." he nodded. "confirmed. proceed." he turned back.

At this point Anastasiya walked into the room, and picked little Takov up, saying as she cradled him, " Oh hey Teval, your little ones are irresistibly adorable."

Teval just shrugged," Yeah I know." He then pointed at Seykai. "Oh, by the way, this is seykai, he is an old friend of mine."

Anastasiya looked at seykai, whom was still holding the kitten. Setting takov down, she noticed his missing hand, and that the other just seemed to be a paw without a thumb. Deciding not to pry about the matter, she quietly approached him, and rubbed his ear, gently. Seykai simply purred contently until he realized whom it was. Somewhat startled he asked, "Who are you."

Anastasiya gave him a smile," I'm Anastasiya, and don't worry, I'm a friend. Would you like a drink."

Seykai didn't quite expect her response, but he simply asked," Um, O.K. what do you got."

Anastasiya simply winked at him, saying," I think I know what you would like."

Seykai just looked at her puzzled as she went into the back rooms.

Zarloos regarded the human woman, she often got him a drink too so he often never needed to ask. "Go ahead and launch three four... deck is clear.." as he received his drink from Anastasiya. "Thank you." he cracked the seal before he drained a mouthful. "Oooh yah!.."

Anastasiya gave Seykai a drink and he took it, and took a sip. He wasnt really sure what it was, but he took to the drink pretty quick. Anastasiya did notice something curious, so she had to ask, " Wait, how are you able to hold that glass, you don't have thumbs."

Seykai responded without looking at her," I have limited telekinetic abilities that allows me to grip things."

Anastasiya nodded, then replied," Well either way, you have to be one of the cutest individuals I have seen in a long time."

Seykai just shrugged and didn't say anything, while Nuyari was up on Varkon's shoulder. Teval just shook his head in amusement as Tirion Fordring walked in.

Fordring looked at the assembled people. "Hello everyone. What am I interrupting.?" he inquired. "Zarloos, everything is good down there,... you can have Four two back any time."

"Nice.. Thank you Tirion." he turned. "Team two, this is the tower, please retrieve Four two and make her useful please.."

"Willdo sir." came the response as Zarloos drained another mouthful from his drink.

Fordring sat down in one of the chairs nearby. "Anastasiya, toss me something, would you mind please and thanks?"

Anastasiya tossed Fordring a drink when just moments later, some shouting could be heard from the deck. Teval looked out the window and saw a pilot yelling at one of the deck crew. He recognized the tech as petty officer 3rd class Winter Skywere, but he didn't recognize the pilot.

Fordring raised an eyebrow "Who's That?" as he rose to his feet. "Where is Hakaya when I need her?"

Hakaya made her presence known," I'm right here, and no, I am not in the mood of dealing with her, I have kids now."

Fordring smiled. "Then... I will deal with idiot over there... You guys got those pain sticks handy?"

Anastasiya grabbed the painstick which was leaning into the corner and handed it to Fordring, saying, "Go get her big guy."

Fordring smiled as he regarded the pain stick then he departed, as Commander Torilla Yamaguchi entered. "Hey guys... whats new?" she looked tired and exhausted. "I hope your night went better then mine did... taking a shower with a Deltan can be severely exhausting.."

Teval looked at Torilla, saying," Yeah, you do look like hell, something wrong with Nalla."

"She had a panic attack a couple of days ago... she numbed me a couple of times... It was... exhausting..." she sighed. "she had a smaller one last night.." as she scowled. "same cause... talking about her mother... she wants her love so badly and Alenia hates her so much for being different.."

Torilla's tone of voice caught Seykai's ear, which turned in Torilla's direction. Without looking at Torilla he asked," Different in what way."

"She's part Deltan and part Betzoid. Both are very sensual... and she was very badly abused by her mother... physical beatings... thrown down stairs..." Torilla paused. "While Nalla was having her Meltdown... she was thinking about the abuse she suffered.... and I saw it all too... from an infant, hardly six months of age to when she was a teenager needing new eyes because her mother threw her into an EPS conduit which destroyed her original eyes..." she sat down very gingerly, as if she was suddenly a century old. "I've never raised a hand to my children.... ever..." she explained. "She's endured misery many times more serious then I can dream up in my worst nightmares... and yet, she's remained this innocent..."

Yamaguchi's eyes were unfocused which meant she was reliving whatever horror's she had received from Nalla. "I'm going ... to make her pay.... whatever it takes... however long I have to wait.... I am going to make her bleed... for this horror.."

Teval and Hakaya looked at each other, both of them knew how bad this would get, and that they didn't need another gonad situation to happen. Meanwhile Seykai was looking through Roanoke's database to find out whom Alenia was. Within a minute he had the information he needed, prompting him to say in a rather blunt manner, " this woman care for nothing except her petty status, you really want to make her pay, take away what is most precious to her, her beloved status."

Torilla blinked as she snapped out of it, she turned her head as she regarded the new arrival as she blinked. "Mmm.." she sighed. "But how.. I have no proof... just memories from a woman who is too badly damaged to do anything about it.."

Teval gave Torilla a look, "Well, we could always bait her."

Yamaguchi regarded Teval. "The bait has to be seen to be real... and thus it has to be real... what do we have that we can use?"..." as she gave him her full and undivided attention, in the way mothers and doctors could pull off.

Hakaya decided to add in this time," Well, we will have to play on her obsessions, which is status and wealth. So if nalla has some great achievement, we could lure that woman here, and then try and catch her abusing nalla."

"We could always say that Nalla is pregnant... even though she isn't." Yamaguchi paused. "we will need a few people involved to catch her in the act.. those of us present won't be able to do it alone."

Tevl looked out the window as he heard fordring dealing with the unruly pilot while hakaya answered," Well, we will just have a secret meeting over the matter with a few others."
