| Personal History | Tony Johnson was born on Earth to Tony and Adele Johnson. Both of his parents served in Starfleet, but due to the strain of ending up on different assignments, they soon ended up divorced in 2348. Following in his parent's footsteps, Tony decided to attend Starfleet Academy where studied security and the tactical field, as well as picking up classes in Operations. Upon graduating in 2359, Johnson's first assignment was aboard the USS Ohio. On his first assignment, Tony worked hard to learn his new position. Two years later he was promoted to lieutenant junior grade, where he was given more responsibilities. Also around this time, Johnson began a relationship with one of the ships Counsellor Diana Morrison. The relationship continued for about four years, but when Tony accepted a promotion on a new assignment Diana wanted to get married. Wanting to focus on his career, Johnson ultimately ended the relationship and moved on. On the USS Ahwahnee, Lieutenant Johnson got right to work as the Chief of Security/Tactical. With using strict and fair tactics, Tony turned around his new department aboard the Cheyenne-class vessel. The two years on board was so great that he wanted to do everything in his power to stay. In 2367, the USS Ahwahnee was dispatched with 39 other ships to engage a Borg cube heading for Earth. After the complete destruction of all the ships involved, Johnson and a few others managed to get escape in shuttles and escape pods before heading to safety. Weeks after the whole ordeal with the Borg, Johnson and several others were taken to Starfleet Tactical to give a briefing on their encounter with the Borg. A few of the tactical officers who survived the battle were reassigned to Wolf 359 Tactical Station development team to work on methods on dealing with the Borg. Tony was assigned to the Weapons and Tactics portion of the team. Four years later. Tony grew tired of doing the same thing day in and day out. Wanting to return back to a Starship assignment he placed his name in for a position on the USS Kumari. Two weeks later, he received word that he was approved. Almost a year into his assignment on the USS Kumari, Tony felt that he needed a change in career if he was to command his own ship one day. Deciding to take advantage of his minor degree in Operations, the Lieutenant returned to Starfleet Academy. After spending some time away Tony has returned to the USS Kumari as the Chief Operations Officer. Too much of his surprise, most of the people he served with initially on the Excelsior-class had been reassigned due to promotions or due to issues with other crewmembers. Tony was also spending time talking to his much younger cousin about how to talk to women, the subject of Steven's crush had come up more than a few times. He decided to drop in on his cousin's vacation, not knowing that his action would almost completely destroy his family, he met Steven's unrequited love in the lobby and the two got talking, he was a newly promoted Lt Commander and she was a newly commissioned 1st Lieutenant, one thing led to another and they ended up in bed together. Of course, Steven caught them in the act and he took it very poorly. Tony tried to reason with his cousin who simply was not having it at all. Ashley had no idea of what any of this was about, which only made matters worse. Once Tony realized that his cousin was not in any shape to resolve the issue that lay between them. Tony tried to make a relationship with Ashley work as she was the one who had made the move in the first place and not Tony, she was the one who had committed the crime in Steven's mind, not Tony but Steven didn't see it like that. Tony continued his career as he was offered the chance to become Executive officer on an older Excelsior class ship, the USS Revenge and he accepted. He would later ascend to command the Revenge when his commanding officer was killed in action, this wasn't how Tony wanted to gain his command but nevertheless, he pressed ahead with the mission at hand and brought his ship and crew home, he was offered the chance to keep Revenge as her commanding officer and he accepted, almost all of his crew remained with him. Revenge might have been a charming ship with a long life but it all came to an end at the battle of Tyra as only about two hundred personel escaped from the inferno that had once been their home, as a Dominion force of over a thousand ships crashed into the seventh. While the seventh culled the Dominion hard, they paid for it in the end. Johnson lost most of his crew in the process and while he was evacuating his crew, he rammed the Revenge into a Dominion battleship, destroying both ships, he was beamed out at the last second thanks to a shuttle crew that had disobeyed orders. Johnson did not object in the least, he and the survivors mourned their dead and then they moved on to their next assignments. They all fought the war and when Johnson was finished. His longtime girlfriend got married and then they began to raise their family together. They would come to call Starbase 2304 as their home for at least the next fourteen years, all the way until this day. Anthony and Ashley would have three children together but the cloud of their cousin Steven and what happened was a dark shadow that never fully cleared. |
