Personal History		Naomi Chao was born in 2323, she was the elder of two children, born to an older couple who died before she graduated high school, and so she was under the care of her elder sibling before both of them joined Starfleet, Marika chose to enlist but she only remained in for several years before she dropped out, conforming to the demands of the service was a little more then she could tolerate. Naomi chose to become an officer. Naomi found she was good with computer systems and the operations of the same, so she went into the Operations and navigation track before going to the command college several years later. She was highly educated and asides from a few flings that she had while she was at the academy, she remained single even after entering the fleet in the mid-twenty three forties. Chao held various assignments but it was the assignment to the Rutledge which brought her to the notice of Captain Benjamin Maxwell, it was also around this time that she entered into a relationship with Petty Officer 2nd Class Miles Edward O'Brien. Affairs got interesting but the affairs of the USS Rutledge and their efforts against the Cardassians caused issues, especally after Setlik III and the massacre that took place on that world. In 2349, Chao was the operations officer on the USS Rutledge, during which time Chao and Miles O'Brien were in a relationship. O'Brien and Chao ended their relationship and went their separate ways. But were reunited in 2367 after Benjamin Maxwell attacked Cardassian targets. Chao, now the first officer of the USS Phoenix under Maxwell, was told by the captain that Starfleet had authorized their tactics. Chao thought it strange but did not question Maxwell and resigned her Starfleet commission soon after, despite Starfleet Command intending to promote her to captain and give her command of the Phoenix due to the fallout over placating a dangerous enemy at the Federations borders. Naomi Chao returned to her homeworld of Centauri IV. One of over a dozen worlds in the Alpha Centauri system where she met a local man, it was almost by chance that the two began dating, and for a time Naomi forgot all about Starfleet and the call of the stars, preferring instead to live a simple live among Centauri IV's aquatic farms and oceans. It was here where she would raise her three children and spend her time alongside her husband. Chao would sit out the entire conflict with the Borg and the Dominion, it was only in mid-2388 and the crisis regarding the Hobus even that she even considered returning to Starfleet, once her youngest child had left home, as a much older and much more contemplative person, having married, raised a family and had an entire career before she came back to Starfleet in late 2388. She decided to go back to the academy to re-learn how to operate Starfleets equipment, suddenly becoming the oldest Starfleet cadet in history, she picked up what she needed to know and she became aware of a new medical science just starting to become known. It was called the anti-ageing medication and she was one of the first recipients of it. It worked better then she had expected, being restored to her youth rather then what she expected which was nothing at all. Once Chao's training was complete, she had her rank of Commander restored but she was not assigned to a command posting, rather she was sent to a Starbase for more experience.
