| Personal History | M'aotoke T'gar was born in 2360 in a Caitian colony named New Kenya which is a Federation colony, it was here amid the endless plains and savanahs that she learned patience and respect for the wilds. Most of the species on this world were roadrunners who were mostly mammalian and some reptilian, as they tended to waste very little water. M'aotoke was a happy child as she found herself herding Bluehorns, they were a species of mammal-like reptiles, they had similarities to species from ancient Earth from the late Permian era but that was about all. These animals were domesticated herbivores and they bred like rabbits. Many of these species had horns and hooves rather then pads or paws but they could all run quickly. as M'aotoke grew up on this wild savannah which went from one seasonal extreme to the other between summer and winter. In winter the temperature dropped from plus forty to minutes forty, the animals had to be extremely hardy to adjust and life had to be able to cope with the abusive climate. M'aotoke and the rest of the colony adjusted as best they could from year to year and for the most part M'aotoke was a happy and much loved child. She also discovered a love of flying when she was a child on simulators at school and when she was eight, she got to fly the real thing but she was nine when she first soloed her first flight, as the years rolled on by she gained in experience and skills When she came of age, she enlisted in Starfleet as a pilot and for the next three months she learned what to do and what not to do while enlisting. She learned to fill out paperwork properly or she would be made to do it again, she learned how to shoot guns and how to run away from enemies bigger and meaner then her. While at Starfleet ROTC on her native Homeworld of Cait, she learned various things like rules and regulations and a few other things. upon completing these she was assigned to her first starship. The USS Spirit of Hope, it was here where she learned whatever her academy classes and instruction failed to cover or outright missed. The majority of her assignments were on frigates and destroyers rather than cruisers or battleships or carriers as she greatly preferred the hands-on feeling one often got with the smaller ships, it was seldom found on the larger ships or so M'aotoke realized. Her promotions were slightly on the faster side of normal which didn't bother M'aotoke in the least. M'aotoke has a relationship with a human female named Kerrie Ward, who eventually would meet and marry Paul Antilles, several years later. She and M'aotoke still see each other and they maintain their relationship. Paul is aware of this and he too maintains a relationship with M'aotoke as well. In 2391. M'aotoke was offered the chance to become Chief Conn Officer on the USS Clydesdale and she accepted, today she serves aboard the newly refitted Norway class destroyer as Chief conn and by all accounts, she loves this posting. Later that year she was offered the chance to become Chief Conn of the USS Prinz Eugen, when she accepted she was also promoted to Senior Chief Petty Officer. Late in 2393. M'aotoke's relationship with Paul and Kerrie Antilles came to an end as the three parted ways as friends. Paul and Kerrie could not give M'aotoke what she wanted or desired. Children of her own so rather than cause issues. Both Paul and Kerrie performed a modified version of the Klingon rite of separation. Rather than strike her or spit on her as the tradition demanded. Paul simply said that she was no longer his wife and that was the end of the matter. The parting was quick and quiet. |
