Personal History Tyrian grew up on the Proxima Colony with her parents. Her father was a commercial pilot, and her mother worked in chemical research. Her father would often take her out flying with him. Tyrian was a natural at the stick, and she loved flying.

It was just a few weeks after her 10th birthday that an explosion happened at the facility that her mother worked at. Tiris was out flying with her father. Her father dropped her off at the staging area for the rescue and then went off to bring back survivors. On the last run, on his way out, he was caught in a secondary explosion. Her mother had been killed in the initial explosion at the facility.

After the accident, Tiris fell into a deep depression. Because both her parents had been killed in the accident, she was sent to live with her maternal grandparents back on Bolarus. So what had turned from a fun day flying with her father, had turned into the worst day of her life. Not only had she lost both her parents, but she was also being sent to live with her grandparents back on Bolarus.

Once she was on Bolarus, her depression continued, and there were no signs that she was going to snap out of it. Her grandfather, sensing that something had to be done to save her, decided to try something different. Tyrian had kept refusing to go out flying with him after her parent's death, saying that it reminded her too much of her family. So he went and bought an old broken down shuttlecraft. On her 11th birthday, he gave it to Tyrian, as something for them to work on together. Tyrian was reluctant at first to work on the shuttle but went along with it thinking that it would stop her grandfather from bothering her.

As the project continued, Tyrian started coming out of her depression, as she began to enjoy the work. It had done the trick. She also found that she had a knack for solving the problems that kept popping up within the shuttle's systems.

After that, they worked on several projects together. Her favorite project was a replica of a human world war two fighter that they built from the ground up.

After Tyrian graduated from high school, she decided to apply to Starfleet Academy and become an engineer, she did well here and graduated about the middle of her class, before being assigned to the USS Clydesdale. Her longtime girlfriend she met while Kira Smithers was at the academy for a refresher course in Tactical.

The two women now serve together on the USS Clydesdale, they both would serve until October of 2391 when both were offered the chance to move to another assignment together, the USS Prinz Eugen and both accepted.
