| Personal History | Chief Petty Officer Jason Ryan was born on the Starship USS Conklin when his father was a newly minted Ensign, His mother was working as one of the ships bartenders and as such she followed her husband along with their two children from posting to posting. Jason grew up as a happy child but he watched from the sidelines as others seemed determined to be pissed off about life in general, thanks to the battle in the Wolf system, the Klingon civil war to name various other events. When he was sixteen, he dropped out of school and he lied on his enlistment papers saying he was eighteen when in fact he was only sixteen, he was accepted in 2376 and off to boot he went.. He learned a great deal about running, assembling weapons and dismantling them again, learning about explosives and battlefield medicine. How to drive the new Argo class scout vehicle and later the newer Warthog class transport vehicle. Six weeks later he was sent to his first assignment. The USS Berlin. It was here where his interests in medicine began to develop and he spent the time to develop those skills in addition to his security and tactical training to the point that he was highly skilled in all three. His various assignments allowed him to showcase his many skills as he assisted with various events like disasters and training events. He was often showhorned into either security and tactical in addition to assisting in sickbay as his various skippers were put off but his request to be in all three at the same time. Most thought it was too much for one person to do. In 2391 he was offered the chance to go work on the USS Tranquility as Chief of Security and Tactical so he accepted, first thing he did was request to also work in sickbay so he could wear the blue collar instead of the Purple or Orange one. |
