| Personal History | Lieutenant Belex Amedi was born late in the year 2366, thanks to her parents coming together to fight the battle of Wolf 359. Belex and her brother grew up on various starships as the only children of happy parents but beneath it all, Belex and her brother were unexpected. Her mother, Corras Amedi was a Starfleet officer and her husband was a civilian who specialized in teaching children as he was a teacher, but he also did double duty as a bartender. While Belex grew up, she discovered her future skills as a pilot as she was introduced to piloting programs while she was a child. Her mother sent her and her husband to live on Starbase 23 to live while she went off to fight in the Dominion War, fighting from the first shot to last while Belex and her brother grew up under her father's care. When she came of age, she went off to join Starfleet, weeks into her first year, disaster befell her family with the murder of her brother as a group of Klingon Mercenaries boarded and seized a freighter, her brother fought to protect others but he was slain doing so. In retaliation, the USS Daedalus destroyed the Klingon ship rather than board and seize her, this was after they had rescued the freighter and captured her boarding party. Belex continued her studies as best she could while mourning her brother whom she was close to, in her grief she met a fellow cadet named Martin Emerson who was dealing with his own issues. The two began their relationship at that time as they began spending some of their off-hours together, he brought her out of her shell. Their relationship started subtly and before long it manifested as something else entirely. Amedi and Emerson were married about eighteen months after they met, alas humans and Bolians are incompatible in terms of genetics so they can't have children together. Belex was posted to the USS Triassic upon graduation whereas Emerson was posted to the USS Cambrian, both ships were Akira's but they both missed each other. A couple of years would go by as husband and wife were separated by assignments before they would be reunited on the USS Avalon, A Galaxy-class cargo variant. Belex would come to relish this assignment, which she did during her time here, before in mid 2393, she was promoted and offered the posting of Chief of Conn on the USS Asgard, an assignment that had many more possibilities to her than an Anchorage class so she accepted and departed the Avalon a few days later. |
