| Personal History | Senior Chief Petty Officer Suguna "Reign" Sathiyamoorti was born in 2351 on her homeworld of Betazed, she was a happy and inquisitive child as her mother was a news reporter and her father was a news anchor. Both parents encouraged Suguna time and again as they pushed her to be the best she could and while they wanted to see her succeed, they were also gentle about it. Living on a Betazoid colony named Linchpin. Sathiyamoorti grew up working with ordinance for mining crews as she found her calling, she thought so and so did others too. Sathiyamoorti grew up as a happy and well adjusted child and when she matured, she enlisted in Starfleet as a Tactical Officer as she liked handling explosives thanks to her childhood experiences of working with various mining crews. Sathiyamoorti wasn’t a star recruit at basic, but did pick up most things with ease; phaser rifles, phasers, running, climbing, EVA and zero-G movement came naturally to her. She had no real trouble learning starships operations such as; communications, LCARS operation, and scanners as he’d already served on a starship for a year prior to joining Starfleet. Out of all the classes, it was Starfleet Hand to Hand combat where she really shined. Following completion of basic training, she was sent to Starfleet Security School for six weeks to undergo department specialization training. Security School wasn’t too difficult, a few courses on rules and regulations, more Hand to Hand combat classes, instruction on driving the Argo Buggy and the use of its Type-IV Phaser Cannon Once she mastered all she need to know, she was assigned to her first starship. The USS Panther. The USS Panther was an interesting assignment and she learned a great many things, especially on dealing with people, something she’d struggled with in the past. The Security Chief of the Panther although believes in Sathiyamoorti and pushed her to excel, even thought Sathiyamoorti herself would have been happier to sit back and take it easy. But during a training exercise on Vulcan, she is severely injured in a shuttle crash but she was able to rescue her surviving personnel with her and then call for extraction. Rather than take leave or retire; Sathiyamoorti simply went back to work before she was promoted to Crewman Apprentice, the rest of her time aboard the Panther was relatively uneventful but she did well in drills and she showcased her skills time and again. During the run-up to the Dominion War, Sathiyamoorti went from the Panther over to the USS Grafton as she fought the Dominion War from first shot to last, dealing with the Cardassian, Dominion and later Breen aggression. In the end, the Federation and its allies were able to snatch victory out of the jaws of defeat numerous times, losing many fine people as they did. While the war raged. Sathiyamoorti met the man who would later become her husband and right at the end of the war, she became pregnant with twin boys before she went to the USS Undauntable, a Galaxy class starship where her husband took on a job as a bartender. All seemed to be going well for Sathiyamoorti and her small family but it would all turn to ashes a few years later was when a terrorist group boarded the Undauntable and they took over the lounge and took several hostages. Sathiyamoorti learned that the terrorists had executed her husband after he helped a dozen others to escape and she helped take them out, killing all of them, one after another. Sathiyamoorti then helped with the manhunt after the terror group claimed responsibility for what happened on the Undauntable, she assisted in bringing those who murdered her husband to justice but in the end it doesn't matter as she is stuck raising twin boys alone. She was transferred from the USS Undauntable to Starbase 47 Vanguard in 2382 and it was here she raised her two boys from toddlers to preteens but while she manages to look after them alone, giving them things to do. She was requested to come serve on the crew of the USS Alexander the Great and she was originally going to refuse but she learned that she was handpicked specifically for her skill set, with that knowledge she accepted and her service on this ship was eighteen months long before she was requested for the USS Spirit of Winter, being one of two people who was reassigned from the USS Alexander the Great as a result of the military reorganization act. The rest of that ship's crew went over to the USS First Minister and then again to the USS Shield of Wolves. |
