| Personal History | Kolowrat was born in the city of Nova Brunswick on Alpha Centuari. His parents were factory workers. As a child he was fascinated with star ships and the battles of Star Fleet. He entered the academy at seventeen years old. His final year was cut short due to losses from the Dominion war. He was assigned to the USS Hakodate as a tactical officer. He performed well at his post and the Hakodate saw extensive action. Due to combat casualties, Kolowrat was only one of two tactical officers on the ship. He was cited several times for courage and skill. The Hakodate was pummeled by Dominion ships during the battle of Cardassia Prime. He was able to abandon ship before it was destroyed. He spent the next three months recovering from burns and other wounds he received. After the war he was assigned to the USS Kalinga patrolling the Cardassian border. |
