| Personal History | Born in 2346, Khatarr was the youngest of four siblings and while he was looked after and loved during his childhood, he could never quite quench the burning thirst for knowledge or the determination to succeed. Khatarr is a farmer, first and foremost and he almost never left Cait to join Starfleet as he loved the outdoors of his native home. When he wasn't at school, he would assist his family with herding the Yerik which the humans oddly enough called the Hexapede. It resembles a six-legged deer or so the average human would say. Palulukan are larger land animals, also possessing six legs are another species that's domesticated, they breed like rabbits, this is why ranching is always a successful lifestyle on Cait. It was a chance encounter with a Starfleet Officer who was chasing a wanted criminal across the landscapes of Cait's northern highland regions, Khatarr captured the criminal and turned him other to the authorities. The Starfleet Officer, one Lt Commander Stephen Caldwell thanked Khatarr and offered to stay in touch, he also recommended Starfleet as a career because 'Starfleet can use a man like you... and so could I." Buoyed by the sense of pride, Khatarr resolved to do just that, he enlisted because he wanted out into the field quickly rather than go the full officer route. He enlisted in Starfleet in 2364 and from there he served across a dozen ships and bases before the Dominion War, where he went into the fight eagerly against a battle-hardened and well-trained enemy. They would not be the only enemies he would face in his long career. Khatarr faced the Klingons in the second Federation-Klingon War in the early seventies, the Second Borg attack on the USS Claymore then he faced the Dominion. Since then he has faced every enemy the Federation has ever known over the last thirty years and he has defeated them all. He has since served across a wide collection of Federation starships which has served him well when it comes to serving on the USS Pinto. After a year of being declared lost. Khatarr and several others were recovered and now after a period of rest and recovery, he is ready for his next assignment. |
