| Personal History | Commander Phoolan Warfield was born in 2356 and while her childhood was a good and happy one, her parents never seriously pushed her, her father was never home as he was always off with the Fleet on various assignments, Phoolan only saw him when he was home on various leaves so it was left to their mother to raise her and her siblings on homeworld of Draco III which was an idyllic colony world, settled by people from Deneva and Earth. Phoolan Warfield displayed strong leadership skills and perseverance, even before her military career began. She Joined Starfleet, going first to the academy on Earth and later to Arcadia Colony's academy for her training. She wasn’t a star recruit at basic, but did pick up most things with ease; phaser rifles, phasers, running, climbing, EVA and zero-G movement came naturally to her. She had no real trouble learning starships operations such as; communications, LCARS operation, and scanners as she’d already had plenty of experience out in the wilderness prior to joining Starfleet. Out of all the classes it was Starfleet Hand to Hand combat where she really shined. Following completion of basic training, she was sent to Starfleet Security School to undergo department specialization training. Security School wasn’t too difficult, a few courses on rules and regulations, more Hand to Hand combat classes, instruction on driving the Argo Buggy and the use of its Type-IV Phaser Canon Phoolan's early career in security was laudable as she was assigned to the Enterprise, the USS Harvest , the USS Undauntable and the USS Courageous within six years, but it was the last that really secured her notice in the fleet Phoolan was present for the Shinzon Incident on the USS Enterprise as she was newly assigned here for the better part of a year cleaning out the USS Harvest, she was reassigned to help sort out issues on Starbase Lya Station Alpha. Once she finished with her assignment on Lya Station Alpha, before she got her dream job which was on the Enterprise-E, she remained here until she was wounded during the Shinzon incident but she was transferred to help sort out issues over on the Undauntable but the assignment she relished the most was her posting as Chief of Security aboard the USS Courageous under the command of Captain and later Commodore Jake Yamaguchi. It was here where she met the man who would become her husband, she and Jamil Newsom began dating after a mishap on a shuttle, she wasn't prepared and ended up on his lap, it was a surprise for them both but she began seeing him as something more then just an abstract concept of humanity. The two were married in 2383 and their first child came along a year later as Phoolan became a mother to several children in the end, when Jamil was offered Exec on the USS Avalon, she followed him over to keep their family together. For a time, Phoolan remained aboard the USS Avalon, she is enjoying this assignment, teaching a cadet class on this ship with twenty security cadets obeying her every whim. However all good things must end and so it was, in mid-July of 2392,. she was offered command of the USS Benton, another Anchorage class ship and she accepted, she and her ghusband would be able to eep their family together between their two ships, as they would operate together on most assignments. |
