| Personal History | Commander Carrie Hawkwood was born in 2361, on the colony world of Actium and it was here growing up in this highly rural setting that she learned to think on her own, for herself and to be her own woman, to take responsibility for herself and to learn how to fix her own problems herself. Growing up, she found she has a taste for medicine and she was always the one patching up everyone else boo-boos with a mixture of tender loving care, a few soft words and a fully stocked infirmary, eventually she was the one who was all but running the place, even as a teenager she had an awful lot of clout in the running and managing of the towns small hospital. Eventually when she came of age, she was offered the chance to go into Starfleet Academy, and do even more with her skills, so she accepted the chance. she then applied and was accepted into 2378's fall intake so off she went to Earth. When on Earth she found she didn't need to work quite so much so this left time for her to party, but mother nature intervened as it so often does and she was left pregnant after a one night stand, the father of her baby was never located, partly because she didn't want to bother but also because she looked on her child as a challenge and it was something for her to work at. Her child came a year later, during which time, her pregnancy was almost abusive to her and when her child came, she took a week off to rest and recover before going back to the academy full time and as a full time mother to her baby girl which she named 'Autumn.' She graduated from the academy with honors and off she went to her first assignment, her assignments were able to make a special dispensation for the fact that she had a young child and due to circumstances outside of her control, she couldn't leave the child with anyone else. However Carrie was a workaholic at times, however she never neglected her daughter as she advanced up the ranks before she ran into a brick wall while being assigned to the Soviet Connection. The Exec refused to leave and Carrie was ready so her skipper was able to arrange for her to command a Destroyer. Carrie for her part was offered the USS Ericsson, which to her surprise, she accepted. Today. Carrie Hawkwood retains command of the Ericsson and she's looking forward to continuing to prove herself worthy of this ship. |
