| General Overview | John Kemal is your average Heran. He is a gentle soul who would rather discuss philosophy rather then warfare. He is easy to get along with and relate to. Also he forgives easily and doesn't waste his time with grudges, seeing them as pointless. John can be called many things, a genius, a warrior with the soul of a poet and a priest with the heart of a saint. He will not resort to hostile force unless there is another option. His intelligence is twice the human average while his strength is three times human normal, he is also much faster and can heal many times faster then human normal. He can see several times better then a human, his hearing is also booted to match, his pain tolerance is also boosted by several times the human norms. His intellect and creativity have equally been enhanced. |

Weaknesses: He is a product of his upbringing among the Herans. He sometimes wonders if he will have to deal with his mother's issues in that old humans discriminated and arrested her illegally. He is sometimes a little paranoid about things like that so he tends to be careful with information. |

| Personal History | John Kemal was born in 2371 on Hera with his mother. His father was known to be working as part of Starfleet at the time but John for his part was not told who his father was. John accepted this growing up as his listed father was Joachim Sukhoi and while growing up, he and his parents welcomed two other children into the small family. Listening to his mother as she spoke while growing up made him realize that he wanted to give something back to the Federation that could have conquered and enslaved his species but instead the Federation did various things the hard way whereas some did it the easy way, this was why the Federation looked set to endure whatever came their way. When John came of age, he applied to and was accepted into Starfleet. His various skills and abilities gave him a serious advantage in many places. However, this was where he came face to face with the unaugmented humans of his own species ancestry. It was also here he found himself being discriminated against because while he looked human, he was different. John quickly realized this was the trouble his mother had to deal with when she was a young woman assisting the USS Enterprise-D with preventing a war between the Federation and John's homeland. He learned to ignore it and when someone inevitably smacked him, it did nothing to John who simply shrugged it off each time it happened until one night when he was out at an event, six upperclassmen all jumped him and John was left to defend himself, he did so by dealing with all six with ruthless force and landing all six of the cadets into the Medcenter. John himself was warned but nothing else could be done to him as he had been defending himself in a public place and his attackers were all trying to kill him. All were armed when they were incapacitated. John was simply warned to not get into any more fights and John did his very best to do just that but his patience did have limits. However, he was also involved in an accident that went badly as an airlock breached, spacing some dozen or so cadets into space. The technician had forgotten to equalize the seals and instead opened the outer door when the inner one was still open, thus spacing himself too. John was running a transporter simulation which very quickly became the real thing when he began beaming in all of the various cadets in various states of distress. However, he saved them all. He graduated at about three hundred or so of his class of a thousand students and he was happy with that. He was also given his second choice on assignments as the USS Fall of Berlin was full and unable to accept any more people so he went off to the USS Roanoke. Kermal served on the USS Roanoke until her destruction during the short but violent war between the Klingons and the Gorn. The Roanoke died over Goranar saving the planet from a weapon of mass destruction, his next assignment came quickly and Kemal spent a year over on the USS Dreamcrusher. His service and time here were noteworthy but it was a quiet time for him before he was assigned to STarbase Vanguard a year later. |
