| Personal History | Born in 2354 in Spain, on Earth. Javier Morales was born the youngest of his generation of Morales. His childhood was generally a happy one but as time past while he got older, he was the only one who wanted to see something other then the sun baked plains of southern Spain. Like his siblings, he did his fair share of merry hell raising around the city of Seville but again, he had that wanderlust so when he came of age, he joined Starfleet and went off to the academy in 2372. He did well at the academy but he was not able to go off to fight in the Dominion War, a small detail which deeply affected him and it was also something he never truly got over either. His first assignment was to Starbase 24 as one of their junior officers and while his time here was educational, he also suffered here too in that he lost a close friend of his, someone he was considering proposing to except he left it a little too late. He transferred across to the USS Crescent, one of the older Steamrunner class ships and it was here he met his present wife, a woman who fascinated him as she was very old school in a lot of ways. The two hit it off in a rather dramatic way and within a year they were married, she then delivered their first of three children before they both went over to the USS Marathon where they both advanced up the ranks. It was here where he got his first taste of command as he began commanding various bridge watches, gaining confidence as he spent time in command. He also earned the trust of the other officer's ad enlisted around him. He also gained a reputation for not being jumpy or doing something stupid in command. He soon had three children in his family and a wife he got along with very well, but they were separated by transfers, he went to the USS Charybdis and she went off to the Chicago and since her assignment was the more stable, she took the kids and the family cat with her. He was assigned to the Charybdis for the better part of four years before he was handpicked by Admiral Nechayev to keep an eye on his new Captain while they settled into his new assignment, the USS Courageous. A newly refitted Galaxy-class carrier variant designated the Envoy Class. Here he proved whether or not he had it for real as he decided he needed to iron things out with his new Commanding Officer first thing. Upon the start of the war between the Gorn and the Klingons, the crew of the USS Courageous distinguished themselves time and again but it all ended during the escort of Convoy GR-1 which ended with the destruction of the Courageous, along with that of a Klingon assault force. Captain Yamaguchi ended up being killed in action so Morales was advanced to the rank of Captain and he was posted along with all of the remaining crew from the Courageous to the newly commissioned USS Tigers Claw. Here he was reunited with his spouse, his children, and a half a dozen cats, thanks to Fluffy having a litter of kittens. Morales decided to keep them all rather than dish out the kittens. |
