| Personal History | Born in 2355 on the colony of Cerberus, this on this colony were not as nice as most other colonies as this one was only several hundred people, the planet was darker then the average but this was also not a planet rich in life, in many regards the Federation should never have settled here. This was a world where life could sometimes get brutal and the wildlife here was just as brutal to survive, things were on the cold side but what got to most was the almost complete darkness, in which one almost couldn't see the stars thanks to the endless mist enshrouding the planet. The majority of the people were terraformers sent to tame this wild beast of a planet, not realizing that there was life that was already here. The first couple of years of Nicole's life did not go well as a result. Some people decided to continue with their mission regardless of the cost while others were leery about it, the howling wind and the endless gloom did more to hurt people then help as one could never tell if they were alone or not. Many people began leaving after only a few months for obvious reasons as the colony failed, the Federation stepped in to assist the people to relocate elsewhere. The Schnackel family decided to relocate back to Luna where they had lived before, they settled into their new lives on Earth's moon with Nicole learning a whole new world of experiences. When she came of age, she decided to enlist in the Marines as she was tired of having to always be polite and behaved like an old fashioned Victorian lady should. Her time at Boot Camp was highly educational and she greatly enjoyed it. Needless to say that when she got to her first assignment, she was well on her way to becoming a model Marine with a serious anger management issue, all of which the other marines around her loved but the brass hated. Schnackel slowly became known for being hot blooded, hauling a rocket launcher into combat, over the next few years, she was known for developing a taste for heavy plasma and ordinance as she was called into some of the most brutal fights in the Dominion War as well as the Klingon War of twenty three seventy three. She missed the Borg Attack as her ship was not available at the time. He assignment after the Wars and chaos of the seventies was Starbase 54 where she became a marine instructor where she began to settle down from her wild ways, adding to her issues was an unwanted pregnancy when Nicole found out she was going to become a mother. Nicole realized she needed to give her children a better childhood which she never had herself so she took an extended leave of absence for over ten years to take the time out to care for her children and raise them properly, she was raising twins alone. When her children became about twelve years old, she re-upped into the Marines, now she serves in the Roanoke's marine roster as one of their more experienced marine squad leaders. |
